I have been seeing Nicole for years! I drive from Richmond to see her and it’s totally worth the drive! Her staff is always welcoming and it always smells SO good when you walk in. Nicole is so patient and actively listens so she can give the best level of service! My family has recommended a lot of friends to Awaken and everyone has always been very pleased with their experience!

Awaken Wellness and Day Spa is a professional salon. I have been with them receiving esthetic services and a variety of hair services for years. I wouldn’t go any place else, it’s literally the best salon in the Newport News area. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Excellent customer service and very clean and accommodating. I highly recommend services at Awaken. You will be very pleased.

I recently visited Awaken Wellness Spa and Hair Design, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Jackie, whose friendly demeanor set the tone for a relaxing visit. She even offered me some fruit water, which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The spa itself has a serene and calming atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Nicole is professional and attentive, ensuring that I felt comfortable and pampered throughout my visit. The range of services is impressive, and each one is delivered with great care and expertise. Overall, Awaken Wellness Spa and Hair Design exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic place to indulge in some self-care, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch spa experience. I also look forward in getting my hair done. I can’t wait to go through this amazing experience again!

My first appointment was yesterday with Johnathan. I was at a sandwich shop in Gloucester, and a lady had a perfect, beautiful haircut, so I had to ask her who cut it. Yes, Johnathan. The shop is 1 hour from my house. I walked into a beautiful salon and was greeted by a lady who just made me immediately feel at home. Johnathan walked up with a very calming, nice demeanor. In my 69 years, he is on the top of the list with his gift. My hair was cut with a stack in the back and slightly longer sides. When I got home, my sweet husband, who is honest said oh my stay with him, you're sexy with that cut. Thank you, Johnathan

A small, quaint salon that has a wonderful, talented staff for hair, eyebrows/lash tinting, facials & more: see site list. Friendly atmosphere where the client's job is to just show up as promised & on time, relax & enjoy being beautified :-). I have gotten my hair balayaged here as well as cut. I'd trust any stylist there for my hair. I get compliments. I have had my brows tinted & am trying my lashes as well. A friend goes there for her hair & has said they give wonderful facials. Management/Owners are very kind. Everyone works independently (it appears), but mesh well together. I am so happy I found such a talented team to help enhance what I was given. They do run a tight ship, so please be sure to make appointments & keep them unless life emergencies occur. This is their bread and butter, but they make you feel comfortable & welcomed. The spa has a beautiful and relaxing feeling. The people who work there are wonderful. Jonathan cuts my son's hair and his wife Anne Marie cuts my hair. They are both awesome at what they do and you won't meet kinder people. I highly recommend this Sap to others.

Nicole is the best! All her equipment and expertise is the most current. She is super sweet and very knowledgeable. If you or your teenager has acne or other skin issues, this is the place to go. Nicole has been help me with adult acne as well as my 17 yo daughter! A must experience.
