Amazing place, love it here. Zack was amazing on my hair and treated me with outmost care, I left the place looking and feeling beautiful and healthy. I have really think and dry hair, and he left me with silky and shiny hair, while doing what I wanted, which was making it thinner. He washed and blow dried it and really took his time for everything. He went over his way and did extra steps to make my hair feel and look healthy which I really appreciate. Definitely going again!!!

Sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Ein Haarschnitt für einen Mann kostet 75$ und es entspricht trotzdem nocht denn wünschen des Kunden. Bad experience. The price for one Man to cut his hair is 75$. (Normal shorthair cut). Thats way too much for the result.

I will say the stylist was nice and there was a good vibe. My hair was supposed to get some low lights added and to fix the banding. I stated multiple times I did not mind if there was still warmth in my hair from the pink I previously had as long as my hair stayed pretty light overall. When the dye went on it looked too dark and I stated my concern. She said it would still be lighter than my natural hair. I was worried because my natural hair is medium brown, not anywhere near blonde. The outcome is so much worse. The top is medium brown, the bottoms are a level 3 dark brown, I have chunky 90s looking highlights left of my blonde hair that took my ages to get lifted to as light as it was. I didn't complain when she constantly dropped stuff and was disorganized, everyone has a day. I didnt complain when she burnt my scalp with the blow dryer. I didn't even complain when she got my bleached soaked hair hair and then dye soaked hair in my eye (I probably should have) The second star is only because she didn't charge me because of how horrible it is. But now I have to get it fixed somewhere or fix it myself and somehow lift dark brown out of my hair. Idk how there haircuts are because I wasn't gonna let her get anywhere near my head with scissors after the color was clearly going south but I definitely wouldn't reccomend getting dyed here. My hair feels horrible and I went around looking like I belonged in a 90s TV show for my anniversary. I've been dying my own hair for years and never made it look as bad as she did.

Super sweet. Not pushy at all. Truthful an honest but not in a mean way. No pressure just inform and help. Vadim is the best and I wont go anywhere else. This was after a fee years since a pro cut!

I have been a client of Emma's at Backstage for years. She is never complacent when it comes to suggesting new things for my hair and I really appreciate that. She takes every extra step to make my hair look spectacular from a color, cut and style perspective. I always get annoyed with myself if I don't have something planned for the evening when I walk out of the salon!

It was really really bad experience that I had with them. I went there for my wedding and the person (Lin) who did my hair was very unprofessional (attitude and work). She didn't listen to me at all. At the end, my hair wasn't what I'd been looking for.

Vadim Safyan did a wonderful job picking out a color for my hair. I have dark, dark hair and was worried the color we were trying for wouldn't take and wouldn't lighten it, but it worked! He's a color mixing genius.

Zack is one the best haircutters I have had while living in SF, he remembers how you prefer your hair and is open to suggestions, very dependable and reliable.
