When I was searching for a new spa , I came across Valerie’s website. I have a slight dermatitis and liked what she had to say about skin issues. I now go every month and enjoy an hour of pampering. She uses lovely products but does not push them on you. However; I have found I must have them at home as well. Her prices are extremely reasonable compared to other places. I am so glad I found her!

I just had my first facial experience at Bag Lady Beauty Bar, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I stepped into the spa, I was welcomed by a soothing ambiance adorned in my favorite color, purple. The decor created a calming atmosphere that made me feel instantly relaxed. Val, the MASTER esthetician, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my skin type and concerns. She customized the treatment perfectly for me, making the experience feel personal and tailored. The facial itself was a dream. Starting with a gentle cleanse and exfoliation, my skin felt refreshed immediately. The hydrating mask was divine, and the facial massage was the highlight—so relaxing and rejuvenating! Afterward, my skin was glowing and felt so soft. I loved that Val also shared personalized skincare tips, which I found really helpful. I even bought some products to keep that glow going at home! Overall, this experience at Bag Lady Beauty Bar was a wonderful escape, and I can’t wait to go back for another session. If you’re thinking about trying a facial, I highly recommend it! You won’t regret it!

I had a great experience with my Rejuvenating Facial at Bag Lady Beauty Bar. Valeri asked questions to ensure that my current skincare regimen would yield the best results for my future skincare. I appreciated the extra care she provided. My skin feels and looks refreshed. Valeri was personable and explained each procedure she performed. Val exceeded every expectation I had and more! She was on time, professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my specific skincare needs. I booked services online that I ended up not needing and instead of just doing what I booked, Val made suggestions for my specific needs and completed my derma plane facial with those specific needs in mind. I can't wait to come back and also bring my husband for his much needed care! 10/10!!!

WOW! Valerie (Bag Lady) is truly amazing! This was the BEST bikini wax experience I’ve ever had. I would never think to put “fun” and “wax” in the same sentence but man, I actually had fun and laughed a lot during my appointment. Valerie is professional, considerate, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. You can just tell she’s serious and passionate about what she does. She talked me through the entire process and made me feel at ease. Don’t think about it, just book with her!

100/10 experience! She is very educated and experienced in her profession. I received a wax from her and I was very nervous at first, but she was very comforting and quick. As a sensitive/low pain tolerance person, I felt absolutely nothing! Even a days afterwards, no ingrowns or sensitivity! She is a great conversationalist as well, which made me feel like a client and not just a task. Best waxing in the area!!!

I had an amazing experience working with Valerie. I came in for a Brazilian Wax. At last minute, I also added some waxing to be done to my face and she was so kind to be flexible with her schedule and fit more into our appointment. She is so friendly and does a thorough job. I went in to have a small cherry angioma removed. While chatting with Valerie I found out she could easily remove some other things on my face that my dermatologist deemed harmless but never offered to remove. I am a big sissy, but once she numbed the spots I could easily handle the slight sensation I got from the procedure. I felt very comfortable with Valerie and she checked on how I was feeling throughout the entire process. She even text me the next day to check on me! She offered a virtual check up in two weeks if I couldn’t make it in for another appointment. She is so easy going, cheerful and patient I decided to schedule a facial when I go in to have her handy work checked out. Everything is healing fine and I know I’ll be back to have other things removed in the future as I have quite a lot of skin tags and such all over. I definitely recommend The Bag Lady Beauty Bar!!

Valerie is an expert magician! She has cleared up problem areas even my dermatologist couldn’t get. Even just coming every other month my skin has never looked better! Her facials are relaxing and therapeutic, however she also fully customizes the facial to your skincare needs and is so thorough and detailed. I’ve even come in on Saturdays/Sundays so her availability is flexible. She applies skincare not just to your face but also neck/chest. Prices are reasonable. Thank you so much Valerie!

My experience at Bag Lady Beauty Bar was absolutely heavenly! I received a 1 hr facial and it was perfect. Valerie is knowledgeable, experienced, gentle, sweet and funny. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and she tailors your session to what your wants/needs are. Such a cute place too! Definitely will be returning. My face is now glowing and clear. At 70 years old, this was only my third facial experience, and my first with Valerie. So I guess I am still a newbie. That being said, I cannot begin to explain how safe I felt and how awesome my experience was. Her salon was very calm, relaxing, and soothing. Valerie then masterfully applied her skills to making me feel and look 10 years younger. She is a true artist and I would highly recommend her service. I am on an rollercoaster ride with my husband’s health deteriorating. I knew I needed some self care. After my meditation asking about guidance where to schedule a facial. I was guided to go to the Bag Lady Beauty Bar. Living In Virginia Beach there are so many salons and I needed guidance. For this year I decided I was going to have self care for me. I met the owner Valerie and she is absolutely wonderful. God has gifted her with a healing talent. She has a beautiful salon and her decor is lovely and welcoming . She is gentle and does not try to push products at you. She explains everything she is about to do. I found where I am suppose to be to have my facial.
