There are hairdressers and there are hair artists. Lydia is a true hair artist! She always nails my haircut perfectly. She's an expert at giving one a haircut that both looks great in the moment and grows out very well. Beyond that, she's the first hairdresser who's ever taken my sensory needs into account. Upon my request, Lydia always cuts my hair dry and she's VERY gentle with my hair. It also helps that Bang Bang is a small salon, so the environment is never overstimulating. I always feel safe advocating for myself because Lydia is so kind and attentive. Having my hair done by her has done wonders for my confidence, and I always feel like a princess by the end of my appointments. Also, the salon often does donation drives for different local charities, and I feel great about supporting a business that's giving back in such a meaningful way.

Like others have mentioned, you almost hate to tell everyone about this total gem of a salon for fear you may have to wait behind the masses once the word hits the streets. But....Bang Bang deserves this review! I simply cannot say enough good things about my color appointment with Natalie. First---she is a bright light of a human. Full of joy and caring--you just can't help but notice right away. THEN, the color!!! Oh, the color! Be still my heart. My previous colorist left for a salon that charges $800 for a haircut and I was crushed. Having seen Natalie, I can say with confidence that I've landed (luckily!) into even MORE capable and talented hands when it comes to the complex art of hair color. The salon is small, woman-owned and beautiful. I'm extremely grateful to the random internet stranger who wrote a review leading me to Bang Bang, so I'm paying it forward by leading you there. (You're welcome! 😉)

I’m hesitant to write a good review cause it may be harder to get an appointment 😛. I Love these ladies so much and my hair has never looked so good. Natalie is an expert in color. She continues to amaze me with her transformations and Lydia flawlessly gives my hair shape and movement where I need it. Super cute salon!

Marina does a great job on my root color so I don't have to stress my whole head of hair with color every time! She works wonders on cutting my thick hair into something that works great for me.

Natalie is the only person I will let color my hair. She is exceptional. Not only does she get my very complicated color (a golden, strawberry blonde) perfect every time, she also listens and communicates unlike anyone I’ve ever worked with. She always goes the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. Also worth noting that her blow-out skills are premium. I have extremely thick, curly and hard-to-manage hair, and Natalie gets my hair smooth every time.

This salon is owned and operated by three strong women who know how to make everyone feel special. Lydia has been cutting my hair since 2017. She made me look fresh for my wedding, has cleaned me up before job interviews, and kept me from getting shaggy during the pandemic (under strict protocols). If I arrive early for my appointment while Lydia is finishing up another client, Natalie or Marina are quick to offer me a cold beverage while I wait. They always have good music playing and the conversations are never contrived. Parking is easy and the price is more than fair given the quality of work & service (so be sure to tip them well).

since my first appointment 5 months ago, marina has really taken the time to learn my hair and help me achieve the look i want! after three visits, i see my wavy/curly hair look fuller and healthier than before. marina is always so warm, kind, and thoughtful, making my experience with bang bang salon a 5 star experience! plus, they always have a great playlist playing at the salon. highly recommend all around! so glad i found a salon and stylist i can fully trust!

Amazing women with decades of amazing talent. My girl, Marina, always has my best interest in mind and listens to everything I'm looking for. She is a master of her craft and just the sweetest and warmest person. If you have curly/wavy hair and want someone who has tons of experience in catering to that kind of hair, book an appointment with her! She is in high demand so prepare to wait about a month on average to see her.

I've been visiting Lydia since 2020. She is an amazing hair stylist! I typically don't have any specific requests for my hair and she just "gets me". I trust her and let her just do her thing. I have long, thick, latina hair and it's important for me to find a stylist that has the patience and experience with hair like mine. The salon is very cute and I love that its owned by bada** women! I would also recommend, at the end of your visit, to be sure to book your next appointment because they get booked up fast!

I absolutely LOVE Bang Bang! I go to Natalie for my color and Lydia for my cut. They are truly a dream team. I haven't been this happy with my hair in years. I finally have a cut and color that reflect how I feel on the inside. Not only are they amazing at what they do, they are both incredibly kind and professional. The space is clean and they take covid precautions which I truly appreciate. My overall experience there feels luxurious yet right at home.

I had a haircut with Marina and I love it. My hair looks like a commercial, so healthy and pretty. She is so good and professional. If you are inquiring about a hair cut your girl is Marina. If you are inquiring about color, Natalie is the best. I been coloring my hair with her for almost 7 years. She is awesome. At one time I moved to Houston and I was driving to Austin to color my hair with her. She is the bomb. My blonde hair looks amazing every time I go with her. I haven’t got a retouch since last year before the pandemic and my hair looks great. Can’t wait for my appointment in a few weeks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! :)

I had my hair dyed, cut, and styled by Lydia and it’s the best haircut I have ever had. She gave me great tips on how to maintain my hair in a low-maintenance way. Three washes later, my hair still looks as shiny and bouncy as it did walking out of the salon. I highly highly recommend.

I love Lydia and Natalie so much! When they opened Bang Bang I knew it would be amazing and I would follow them anywhere. I just had my first appointment with Lydia last week and the experience was amazing. I definitely felt safe, and you can tell that there was care and love put into the space. I saw Lydia and she was absolutely incredible! Easily one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I don’t cut my hair often so I never know what to say or ask for. Lydia took the reins and rolled with it. You can tell she knows exactly what to do and how to do it and I have gotten nothing by amazing compliments since getting my haircut with her. The place is adorable and all of the ladies were very sweet. Thanks again for the killer haircut and I’ll definitely be back.

Lydia has been cutting my hair for over a decade. What's great about going to Lydia is that she needs minimal direction and then she's off and running - giving you the best cut you've ever had. She also cuts my husband's and daughter's hair, and both are equally happy with their cuts each time. The new salon is great, super cute and convenient.

My go to stylist for cutting hair, Lydia, and my go to stylist for coloring, Natalie, opened a salon together — literally a dream come true! Their salon is super cute and both ladies have a passion for what they do. Lydia is awesome at cutting hair and gives me the best hair cuts I’ve ever had. I don’t have to style my hair and it looks great. Natalie is the amazing, she gets my blonde right every time. I’ve seen other hair colorists in the past and Natalie’s attention to detail and skill is unmatched. She makes sure you are comfortable the entire time and truly wants you to enjoy yourself.

Went to Lydia for the first time and it was, as many of the other reviewers say, the best haircut I've ever gotten. I have thick, long, wavy hair and Lydia cut, washed, and blew it out in ONE HOUR. I couldn't believe it. I had a reference photo of a cut she had done recently and she told me what she did and how she could modify it to suit my hair. She even asked what I didn't like about my last hair cut at another salon so she could avoid that. I left feeling amazing and she let me know they do free bang trims!
