Barber on Pearl is my go-to place! I’ve been going to see Anastasia since moving to Brooklyn in April 2023. Anastasia is not only an amazing hair dresser but has also become a great friend! She always listens attentively and helps me workshop my haircut to achieve the look I’m looking for. Even after moving to Manhattan I always make the trek down to Barber on Pearl. Thank you for the many stylish haircuts and kindness!

Always happy with haircuts for my kids at Barber on Pearl! No need to leave the neighborhood for the littles, they have a great kid-friendly space in the back and, for when they get older, boosters for the grown up chairs. Special shout out to Ivan who makes my son beam with delight every time he gets his fade with lines refreshed.

The best barbershop anywhere in downtown Brooklyn and dumbo. Professional every time, never much of a wait, appointments are always honored on time. Happy to have found Ivan for my haircuts and have been going every week for a year now. Always know what to expect, great at communicating and will always give you the cut you need. Can’t say enough good things about Ivan and the shop as a whole, definitely recommend!

Anastasia has been my go-to person for years now. It is not easy to find the right person to cut men’s curly / wavy hair. Anastasia delivers, every single time. She really makes it look easy as she is an expert at her craft. I will not go to any other person in the city, she could not be more highly recommended. Anastasia you are the best.

Anastasia is an OUTSTANDING hairstylist/barber. I moved to NYC 2 years ago and have gone to many barbers, who make my evolving baldness look WORSE. Anastasia truly knows her way around many hair types, including mine, making my hair look healthy and fuller. She is also super kind and welcoming. I have never gotten so many positive comments on my hair cuts until she cut my hair. Worth every penny and the 1 hour commute. I will not be going to anyone else in the future. You are the best Anastasia!

I wanted to try a new barbershop in my area and called to ask if they had any walk ins available as I know appointments are preferred. I told the gentleman 1:30 and he said absolutely come on in I’ll have someone for you. When I arrived there were already multiple people waiting. He asked if I had an appt and I said yes I just called. Sat there for 25 min before being acknowledged and even then was told it would be a bit longer. If your books are full, I totally get it! But don’t have a potential client come in thinking they’ll be serviced if that isn’t the case. 0/10. Terrible rude service and not honest.

There are no lack of barber shops in New York, but none quite like this gem on cobblestone streets in the heart of Dumbo. The staff are skilled and the prices are excellent. I highly recommend Anastasia, as she’s especially meticulous, thoughtful, and brings creative solutions to every cut.

almost hidden gem of a barber shop in dumbo. i live close by and on a whim, decided to get my haircut — and wanted to do it, like “right now”. saw they cut kids hair, but didn’t see anything listed for women online .. since i was on the way home— walked in without an appointment. friendly, clean space and fast. took me in immediately and 20 minutes later, walked out a happy camper. quick dry cut to chop off damaged ends, thorough job and well done. take note, as someone who spends $150+ for haircuts, i’d say this was on par with some cuts i’ve had. cannot recall her name, she’s got dark short hair and i’d recommend 100%. plus at $50 and a loyalty card, there’s no doubt i’ll be back!
