UPDATE: 7/20/20 I traveled all the way to Brooklyn to support a black owned nail salon, and my experience was horrible! I emailed the manager about my experience and provided him images as proof. He responded to my email blaming me for my experience. Please see the images and screenshots. Think twice before booking your appointment with them!

I stopped going years ago due to very poor customer service! I was given a very amateur nail tech who was not my regular nail tech. She was switched after I made the appointment. Im super OCD about my nails and after paying full price even after making a complaint because she did a horrible job, I ended up doin my own nails in the airport, imagine that after spending over $70 When I contacted the manager he told me he would take care of me I never heard from him. So I never went back

Been going to Dior for a year now and he’s the only one who does my nails! He eats up every set and always accommodates my last minute appointments. Literally have not let anyone touch my nails since he started. 🤍

I have to be honest. This is quite far from the best nail service that I have ever experienced. I haven’t had my nails done in quite some time because I found it to be difficult to find nail artists that are really good at what they do. However, I saw the work of the nail artists at Barry’s (on IG) and I was impressed. I even paid in advance ($145). That’s how much confidence I had in my future service. I was also thrilled to support a black owned business. Nevertheless, I left disappointed. My services were scheduled two hours apart 2pm and 4pm. I received a text that my appointment would be 45 minutes behind. I expected to be leaving there around 7 or 8 the latest. I was out by 5:30! Now I’m sure that sounds like good news but no it was not. I’m pretty much a “plain Jane” when it comes to my nails but believe it or not it is a mission to find people that can slay the nude natural look. I call it the “old money” look. Nice, neat, and clean. Not sure how to describe what I have. It’s not the shade that I was going for and my nails are not neat at all. I have OCD so you can imagine how irritating it was to have acrylic and clue stuck on your fingers. I’ve had to correct my pedicure when I got home because my feet were not smooth at all. Unfortunately, I don’t feel as though my money was well spent. That pedicure chair in the corner should probably be replaced. Honey, it felt like a hard rod was poking my butt cheek the entire time. Man, I just want a permanent nail tech that cares about the work that they put out into the world. Yesterday could have been a bad day… I don’t know. I chosen my nail tech after seeing what he could do on IG. I really liked Dior’s personality but the job that I paid for truly did not suffice.

I’ve been going to Barry’s Beauty Bar for years and have never left disappointed. Dior has superb customer service skills, and my feet always look brand new when I leave his chair.

Friendly and funny environment! I love Dior, Shannon, and Jordan energy!! Jordan serviced me, i wanted a certain style and i left so happy! She ate my nails and left no crumbs. My new nail spot.

I had a great experience with Sharon. I didn’t know what to expect but the vibes were right. Felt like family and Sharon knew exactly what I wanted even thought I didn’t know the name. Ombré chrome 😍❤️

I really liked my nails however , it’s been a week and 2 have already poped off , I guess maybe cause I got the special , the girl who did my nails was real nice … I just need to find someone to do my nails and make it last

Love it here!! So lively!! The atmosphere here is phenomenal! Dior did my nails!! He is so TALENTED!! Very neat, kind & passionate! He will SNAP on your nails & will not disappoint you 🙏🏿 This was my first time coming here & I will be back! 😌❣️

Drove hrs . Made my appt with Barry a month in advance and left sad! I ended up with a guy who was clearly annoyed doing my pedicure where my feet touched the water for 3 minutes ( I timed it)! I was watching Barry sleigh nails left and right and I got stuck with the new girl ! Sigh I was annoyed …..she was nice and I didn’t want to hurt her feelings but I could tell by the acrylic application she was new. Unfortunately after all that preparation I left unhappy …. I have short nails for my wedding and I paid the long nail price! 🥹

DON’T COME HERE. Overpriced for bad customer service and low quality nails that won’t last. Spent $162 and tipped and less than a week my nails slid off. The owner Barry argued with me and said it was “ courteous” of them to redo my nails AFTER it was their fault they came off as if they were doing me a favor. They made me feel as though it was my fault my nails had slid off even though nothing like this has ever happened to me.

Dior does my nails I always get my nails too suit my outfit he is very jovial happy and he make his customer feel well appreciated the salon itself. Everyone reacted to customer, and they feel well appreciated I love to go to Barry’s nails and bars.

I haven't gotten my nails done in a good 2 years so I was skeptical about everywhere that I saw until I happened to come across Barry’s Beauty Bar. I loved the experience more than words can ever express. It was a warm welcome that started with an easy conversation with Shannon until Dior came in and did my nails he is a perfectionist in the art, extremely patient, funny and kind. He slayed my nails in a way I never experienced! I loved the entire process so much and will definitely be back ❤️

I went last week based on the Google reviews and they were so accurate. Service was immediate when I walked in. I had Keisha as my person. I have never had such a detailed pedicure in my life. She was patient and took her time. I had my first acrylic manicure here and it came out amazing. Will certainly return here

If you want the perfect manicure with a shine come to Barry’s Beauty Bar. The nail technicians are very professional. Look how amazing my rouge manicure is. Only downside is sometimes it’s hard to get an appointment last minute. However, it’s totally worth it for the finished result.

Not the cleanest place, all of their polishes looked old and their prices online are different than what they tell you when it’s time to pay. I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t line the pedicure bowl with plastic like every other salon I have ever been to does. Also - I got the basic pedicure and it was the worst basic pedi ever. No exfoliating, no oil, callus removal was done with a machine. It just wasn’t a relaxing/pleasant experience that a pedicure should be. They just had me soak in the water for 10 minutes and then immediately got started. Overall, the employees were pleasant enough but I will not be back.

The pedicure felt good but I got it done on Saturday and by Sunday it chipped off. They’re too far from me to have it re-done so I’ll just find another nail shop.

Went there on Tuesday and it was 2 ladies there with Dior , he was doing someone’s nails and the other two just sitting there. I came in for a pedicure and neither would take me , they’re going back and forth with each other on whether or not they should take me and there was no one else there . I sat for a few minutes and neither of them said anything or moved so I just left . If Barry was there I bet that wouldn’t have happened . This is why you need solid people to run your business in your absence cause they just lost a customer and who knows how many other people they did this to , with their nasty attitude .
