Simply the best little salon in Chicago. High standards, the best style, friendly service, and doing their part to recycle salon waste. Both my wife and I go regularly for our cuts and color. Highly recommend.

Even one star is too much to give to this salon after the treatment I received there. I was given the snootiest attitude from the hairdresser Carlo. He was very unprofessional giving me his unsolicited opinion on whether he wants or not to dye my hair the way I wanted. Awkwardly stating that he “cares”for my hair when in reality he just didn’t like the way I asked him to dye it. I came to receive good-quality job, not poorly conveyed disapproval. He sent me home with a condescending “think about it”.

Had a strange, unprofessional experience here. Before I even got to the salon, I got a call from the receptionist called asking if I would be fine leaving the salon with wet hair since my appointment was near closing time and they would not be willing to dry my hair. Mind you, this was still in the winter. I should have taken this as a warning sign of what kind of establishment this was, one that doesn’t value customer care. Met with the hairstylist and told him I wanted to go lighter. He said he could not do much but could only offer some “dimensionality.” This stylist then goes to consult another more senior stylist and then they ultimately decide not to do my hair at all because of its “compromised nature.” Long story short, I get an appointment at the much more professional and accomodating Axelle + Ivy Salon a few blocks away and they were able to highlight and lighten my hair without any issues or breakage. A few suggestions for Bartucci- train your staff better. Further, if you’re not going to be confident in your coloring skills, perhaps make color consultations mandatory before appointments as to not not waste your customers’ time.

Bartucci should be placed under arrest for all the hearts that broke when those women saw how good I looked at my WEDDING thanks to Elizabeth Johnston. attached is a photo of the word handsome in the dictionary. My wife also gets her hair done at Bartucci. Its a fun salon full of young professionals who are trendy and will bring out the best version of yourself.

Daniel is absolutely incredible. For many years I’ve looked for a colorist who is good with blonds. Daniel exceeded all expectation! He listened and was able to delivered exactly what I asked for. Aside from how talented he is, he's also very efficient. My hair came out perfect without being over processed or damaged. I can’t recommend him enough as he’s genuinely a professional.

Fantastic salon with first rate staff and stylist, Joseph Bartucci. I’ve been searching for a salon I could make my long term “home” and believe I found it. The location is central, easy parking can be found, and the buildout is clean and modern. Joseph was so thorough in walking me through my current condition, what he would recommend and where we would be taking my style. The whole process was not hurried and I ended up with a cut and style I love. I would recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful salon in Chicago.

My colorist, Sloane, did a fantastic job on my hair color. She gave me the exact color I wanted. I just wanted to go a few shades lighter than my natural hair and that is exactly what I got. Nothing brassy or too "orange-y", like I have gotten from previous salons. I love my new hair color. I will be going to them in the future for all my hair coloring. Also, the salon is BEAUTIFUL. Very clean and modern.
