Comfortable, welcoming studio for all! I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Caroline is an expert with the sheers - describing her as “detail oriented” doesn’t do her cuts justice! She considers every strand. Not only are her cuts killer but she is a great listener and so easy to talk to — highly recommend if you are uncomfortable at the usual hair salons!

Caroline is an incredible, professional, and talented stylist. She does exactly what you need, and helps with styling tips and instructs you on how to get the perfect look at home. She is worth every penny, and then some! I won’t go anywhere else for a haircut!

Awesome experience! Porsha was very nice, personable and most importantly she is very good at what she does. My nails look so good! Highly recommend going to this place for nails. They do an amazing job at hair too!

I came to porsha with some seriously gnawed on claws. I had been biting my nails since I was ten. Because of Porsha’s guidance and high quality work, my fingernails and hands are something I am proud of, not something I want to hide. And she does AMAZING art, too! Very creative on her own, or you can come to her with ideas and she’ll make them happen. She has a milllllion amazing shades and additions to chose from. I HIGHLY suggest jumping for the luminary gel nails- so sturdy and and strong. They’ve lasted way longer than just regular gel polish without any sign of wear. porsha even has a nice new machine that has zero curing pain. She also has some high quality cuticle oils available for purchase This studio is beautiful, clean, minimal, a breath of fresh air.

I have been going to Caroline for over 2 years and every cut she has ever done on me has been absolutely perfect. She can do any cut and is so precise. My sister, mom, and many of my friends go to her. If you want an amazing cut, go to Caroline.

Indianapolis is lucky to have a place as wonderful as Basic. I followed Caroline here after years of amazing hair cuts—she completely understands my texture and style preference, and is the only hairstylist who’s ever achieved to make me thrilled every time. Started getting my nails done by Porsha after seeing her gorgeous work when visiting Caroline. She’s deeply talented, creative and technically perfect—first time I’ve ever wanted to consistently have my nails done. Two amazingly talented and lovely women offering the best of hair and nails in Indy!
