Our best-in-class massages and scrubs are protocol-driven treatments delivered by a superstar team of practitioners. Anybody with a body can benefit from a Bathhouse service. This was a disappointment. Small, crowded and zero amenities. The towels are small, poor quality and broken. Only 3 saunas and 3 bathtub size pools for about 60+ people. No lounge areas to rest. The pool walls had mold and the water was dirty. Yikes! It was a painful experience.

Book a slot as it gets crowded or come in Tuesday or Wednesday.

Meh. It looks so beautiful in advertising but in reality it’s small, overly crowded, loud. Two saunas are so hot you can’t really enjoy them (180 that feels like 200). It’s not dirty but not immaculately clean, and likewise people don’t follow etiquette and rules strongly here and there isn’t much staff monitoring. If I come back sometime it’ll probably be with 5 girlfriends rather than alone to relax. It wasn’t terrible but it disappointed my expectations.

This is the worst bathhouse I have ever been to. You cannot stand in the pools without touching someone and guests were going in the pools without rinsing their sweat off. Imagine being in a tiny public pool except you paid for it and you are in a basement.

Much smaller than their flatiron location, but a more exclusive feel with an equal amount of luxury. Locker rooms are a bit cramped with fewer amenities such as a suit dryer and smaller lockers, but if you’re local then you’re in good luck.

The pools and saunas are nice, when not full of amateur spa-goers who have little-to-no experience or knowledge of how to behave. People have phones and books/magazines in the pools. People are jumping into the various pools. People leave the doors open to the saunas while they call for their friends to hurry up. The cold plunge had gross foam, hair and snot/spit in the pool. There are towels left behind EVERYWHERE. Slides too. They have a 'vibe gong'.... I guess in the end I'm glad this place exists so these people don't flood into the better spas in this city.

I’ve been to the bathhouse in Williamsburg a few times, and it’s always a great experience. Last week, I had a massage that helped me so much—highly recommend it! Also, the sauna session called “Aufguss” is absolutely the best. Perfect spot for relaxation! Staff is super friendly and welcoming

The male staff member today 27th Jan in Williamsburg is so rude and does not suit the bathhouse concept I had a great experience down stairs and the food and restaurant . On arrival booking in I explained I had gift card for a family member from Christmas and asked about the process as i have profile account at Williamsburg . As I walked away I heard him telling a staff member he didn’t like Europeans . When leaving we had to process my gift card ( bathhouse expensive ) Everything was a puff and blow issue ( as my family member booked the gift card in flatiron venue ) She didn’t know Williamsburg was my regular spot .. ( two people even walked in of the street to see what the bathhouse concept was he was rude to them and them they had to leave because it a on line booking venue . ( great up selling there ) When he was finally finished tapping he fimgers because the voucher was registered in flatiron . He proceeded to tell me to use the voucher in the flatiron bathhouse next time .. wow Ps The evening before one of the booking girls was very helpful over the phone and told me the voucher was covered for Williamburg Then I get a lecture from a unhappy staff member about my Christmas present voucher , who wouldn’t look me in the eye . His phone was very important more than me. The Custmor who just spent $ 284 dollars . He totally destroyed my relaxed experience after my massage and amazing treatment downstairs . I had to tell him his service skills and very rude .. bad taste left . Norman Kennedy

This is a place I have been to many times and have loved in the past. But this time I was met with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The moment we walked in and asked for day passes we were rejected immediately without question or reasoning by one front desk person named Angel. The other person working was so kind to us and didn’t understand why he would say that as there were passes available. Her name was Allie and she was so sweet and helpful. But after receiving such treatment and attitude from Angel we were no longer wanting to give them our patronage. So disappointed as we were looking forward to a relaxing day.

I had an amazing experience at Bathhouse. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with great music setting the perfect tone. The steam room and guided saunas were highlights for me, providing a rejuvenating experience. The cold plunge pool was refreshing and a great addition to have - just what I needed to end off my long trip in NYC. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend Bathhouse to both locals and visitors looking for a top-notch wellness experience in NYC. Can't wait to return!

I received this spa trip as a birthday gift, and it was absolutely worth it! The massages were incredible—super relaxing and tailored to my needs. The staff is clearly experienced, taking the time to ask about pressure preferences and specific areas to focus on, which made me feel very comfortable and heard throughout the experience. The spa itself is on the smaller side, so it can feel a little packed at times, but it’s still 100% worth visiting. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend trying the wings. The drinks are fantastic, and they also offer freshly made juices and pastries that are to die for! If you’re looking for a relaxing, enjoyable day with amazing service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Life changing! I have a membership and go once a week. It’s the only thing that keeps me sane.

The saunas are great. It can get a little busy though. My rating is based on my experience with the massages. I won’t be getting another one there. I’ve had two. The first wasn’t bad, but not really good either. The second was terrible. I felt worse leaving, and for days after, than when I came in. I thought about stoping it midway, but wanted to see if maybe it was just the style of massage. Theres no consistency between their masseuses. It’s also very expensive. Don’t waste your money.

When you arrive the for the first time like I did, they may tell you the Day Passes are completely sold out for the day and that you'd need to book a service (Massage or Scrub) in order to access the spa. Do not be fooled. My friend, who was on her way over, informed me there were multiple Day Passes left online (which she ended grabbing one for herself). Thinking I could use a massage, I booked one anyways - to my chagrin. It was the worst massage I've ever experienced. None of my needs were addressed, at one point, she lifted me up by the arm and the headrest came apart and fell to the floor. It physically hurt (not in a good way) and the stretching did not seem like it was done by someone educated in the practice. As someone who gets massages multiple times a year (as a professional dancer), the 'technique' / methods were way off, ineffective and just bad. The spa itself is just okay - I actually like the music in the Tropical Sauna, and the vibe itself is fun - but ZERO relaxing. The pools also don't have jets, and I agree with a lot of the other reviews - temperature lukewarm as opposed to hot. The sauna rooms and steam were spacious and well designed. Lighting was dope. DEF NOT WORTH the exorbitant cost of the massage, but if you're looking for some place fun to scope out good looking people, you might like it. (sidenote: I did write to complain and they did slightly rectify things by addressing my concerns, so at least that).

Where do I even begin? My massage with Jeremy was nothing short of transformative. From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of calm and tranquility. Jeremy's calm demeanor and gentle touch immediately put me at ease. He truly listened to my concerns and tailored the massage to my specific needs. I was experiencing chronic back pain, and Jeremy's deep tissue work was incredibly effective. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing along the way. But it wasn't just about the physical relief. Jeremy has a magical touch that seems to melt away stress and tension. I left feeling lighter, more relaxed, and completely rejuvenated. I highly recommend Jeremy to anyone seeking a truly exceptional massage experience. He is a true master of his craft.

Edit: Bathhouse left a message here a year later but don't be fooled, they don't actually care to make it right. Apparently they just wanted me to spend time contacting them to remind me I have a small credit left over that I never used, for good reason... that credit isn't even enough for another massage appointment so not sure if they thought I'd pay more to rectify a year old bad experience or if they just want to seem like they care on the reviews page but I didn't appreciate the additional waste of my time, nor the lack of apology for not caring enough about this incident when we told them about it in person when checking out. *to be clear, there are a lot of things I liked about the bathhouse, and SOME great masseuses, but their lack of care for a consistent good experience and terrible customer service is the issue you should just be aware of. --- (if you are ok with paying $240 to have someone uninterested rub you down with medical gloves on, then ignore this review). The bathouse has a great ambiance and can be very relaxing, but they don't seem to care about whether you have a good massage experience. I booked a pro massage for my partner and his masseuse wore gloves without explanation and spent 80min putting as little care into the massage as possible. With half the time spent going back to the counter for more oil, I can't say neither his nor the massues' time was well spent in those 80min.

Excellent. Love the Aufguss (sauna ceremony) followed by the cold plunge.

I can’t say enough good things about this spa! It’s impeccably clean and so well-organized, which immediately puts you at ease the moment you walk in. But what truly sets it apart is the incredible team who works here. The staff are warm, always smiling, attentive, and genuinely make you feel cared for. They provide comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. It’s a very tranquil place where you can truly unwind. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a top-notch yet not uptight spa experience! Great job everyone, see you tomorrow!!!

Got the heros journey to ring in the new year and it was AMAZING. The women's locker room was clean and front desk was warm and welcoming. The sauna and pools are downstairs and I love that the lights are dimmer down there for the entire ambience. Dry sauna was INTENSE so you definitely need to utilize your breathing exercises. The steam room was excellent and I've never enjoyed sweating more lol. Definitely give the Aufguss a try! What an experience. I personally loved the warm pool. I could've stayed in there forever and it was just what my sore muscles needed. So my massage was phenomenal. My therapist worked out knots in my shoulders and pectorals and stretched out my arms and back and legs. I was PAMPERED. The scrub was something I've never experienced quite like that and let's just say I felt royalty! It's like a scrub/bubble bath/mini massage and I require this kind of treatment in life from now on🤣 ended my journey witha dip in the cold plunge.....OH MY GOD. I am a person who loves cold and walks outside in shorts and a tank top in the snow but this plunge was a cold I never knew before....worth it but definitely a mental challenge. You should definitely go!!

Sadly, the massage was not worth the money. This is the most expensive massage I got but it was so subpar. I ask multiple times for the strength to be harder and when he did it right (maybe 35% of the time), I asked him to do more of that but that didn't continue for long. Had to keep asking. Not worth the money.

Wasn't too busy on a weekday morning and probably the only time I would recommend it given it was quite busy already. Can't imagine how busy it would get on the weekend. But aside from that this place was great. Spent a few hours here doing a couple of cold plunges followed by dry sauna. Repeat and just let your mind unwind.

Had a great afternoon at Bathhouse Williamsburg. Nice variety of saunas/steam/ hot and cold plunge pools. Friendly staff, relaxing music and beautiful design. I look forward to returning next year as I hear they are expanding.

I have had a good experience here before- but today was very unpleasant. Really loud, large group- impossible to relax. I know it’s a small space and I have been here when it’s crowded- but I think the place would benefit from some signage about being mindful of volume- or maybe some upfront etiquette expectations. I don’t expect silence- but a deafening roar is not a great vibe for a bathhouse experience.

I went here yesterday for my friends birthday. The baths and saunas were lovely. Three baths- one icy cold, one normal hot tub temp, and one 104 degrees. 2 saunas, a steam room. We havld the best time! Unfortunately, as we were getting ready to leave, I suddenly developed food poisoning from our lunch spot earlier that day. The staff was so kind and helpful. They provided towels, ice, clear cleaning alcohol to smell to help with the nausea. They absolutely saved me! I'm so thankful for all those kind, patient ladies!

If you ever wondered what a communal college bathroom and dorm room looked like you can easily experience it for 50$ with bathhouse!
Jan 05, 2025
It felt like a university dorm experience. One of the two front desk workers smelled and acted like they were on weed. Slow and checked out mentally. Alcohol is legal too, that doesn't mean you show up drunk to work, or drink a beer on your break. The pools were all cloudy and there were two bandaids floating in the cold plunge. The towels had red stains on them. Basic hygiene practices for spa facilities are not being upheld. It's also a loud place, with primarily younger women unaware of how shrill they sound. No workers implementing a peaceful setting. Not a good place- I will not go back.

I’ve been to bathhouse twice now. It’s a nice intimate setting although it’s typically packed. I like how people are courteous enough to rotate often between pools and saunas so everyone has a chance to use them. There’s a warm pool which is the biggest, the hot one is small and the cold plunge is slightly smaller. There’s 3 saunas. I really enjoy the smell and the dimmed lighting. For the price it’s a nice experience every once in a while!

Looking a little weathered now compared to the flatiron location. Some of the boards in the sauna need to be fixed and the steam room smelled a bit musty. This place is the ugly step child now.

My best friend and I arrived @4:00 PM at the Williamsburg location, we both had massages scheduled and it was our first time attending Bathhouse. Being that this location had a 4.4 rating, we decided to start our weekend off with relaxation, however little to our surprise it was anything but that. As soon as we arrived at the locker room, it was anything but spacious, the pictures online are deceptive. It was extremely small, women were on top of one another trying to retrieve their belongings because the lockers are stacked upon each other; along with getting dressed/undressed, it was madness. The bathrooms did not have locks either.. what was the thought process behind that? There is one floor for the amenities. The steam room was not working. Both saunas were nice, but the dry sauna was the best for optimal results. The three thermal pools, smh. The cold plunge pool would be the better option out of the other two “hot” and “neutral” pools. Both pools were luke warm. It was overcrowded, had a smell of must, particles floating in the water (we saw a band-aid), our items were moved without consent and not to mention the uncomfortable eyes of the towel boy gawking at the female occupants. It was too crowded and there wasn’t any space to relax without leaning or touching another guest. Again, pictures online did not illustrate how close in proximity you would be with others. My massage was okay, I did not feeling any different, or better. I mentioned my feet needed attention and that was overlooked. My best friend enjoyed her massage which was pleasant to hear. We did not enjoy our experience together, and will not be returning.

The guided sauna session was a cool experience. On the small side. Only 3 pools: one warm, one hot, and one cold. Clean facilities, nicely designed. No towels in the lockers so be sure to grab them in the downstairs area after rinsing off.

The place is amazing! The front desk staff and other staff can be more friendly. A few smiles would do.
