Amazing! Best acupuncture & reiki in the city! Truly amazing and knowledgeable staff unlike any other

I had a great experience at Be Well. I was on a long weekend trip to Chicago and was able to get a last minute appointment with Candy. I’ve been training for a half Ironman event which has had me running way more than I ever have. My right knee was very sore and painful, but after my massage, my knee felt significantly better. My quads & IT band were SO tight, likely causing the knee pain. Pressure was a little too firm at times, but honestly, the deeper tissue massage helped improve what I had come in for. Place was perfectly fine and clean, but I wouldn’t call it a high end spa—I wasn’t expecting it to be. Highly recommend!

I miss Chisato, the one masseuse that knew her craft well. But still a great location to get a relaxing massage. I use to come here when I had debilitating arm/shoulder pain and couldn't lift a laptop above my waist. After one appointment I could lift said laptop above my head. My range of motion was entirely cleared.

Would not recommend. Went here today because I just wanted to get a last minute massage.Mistake. Normally a spa would ask if youd like some fresh water prior,, me, nothing. Place was pretty dirty. Upon entering my room I was requested to wash my hands and lay on the table. While washing my hands I noticed several paint chips by the sink and I immediately felt unclean. When I looked into the bin that would normally house a customers clothes it was clear that this hadn't been cleaned for days, so much dirt. You'd think they'd at least dump out the dirt if they wouldn't vacuum it. Then the massage. I had put firm for my preferred pressure but my God, it hurt. I requested 3 times for a lighter pressure. I was told okay, and that was it. Not one time in my massage did my "therapist" ask how the pressure was or what could be improved. The room was way too warm; I felt so gross just sweating there. I left in more pain than I came in. Worse, I thought I was getting a 60 minute massage and it turned into a super painful $150 90-min massage. Normally I'd expect calming tranquil sounds to accompany the massage. Songs would end with more than 30 seconds between each one. I would constantly hear my therapist shaking the table behind her as she continued to apply far to much pressure on my back. Too long, didn't read version: terrible. Don't go here. Why I didn't give this 1 star? I don't know, I feel somewhat bad. But dang. Would recommend Hand and Stone in Lakeview though ✌

Charged for full session despite not receiving a massage, completely unreasonable about appointment oversight, completely unwilling to do anything besides charge me the full fee for a massage I did not receive....cancellation policy not communicated verbally or ANYWHERE on their website. In response to the owner: I won't be getting a massage--probably for many more years, again--despite doing hard physical labor outside every day--because I cannot afford one usually. This was a gift from my mother that you refused to even comp me part of or allow me to reschedule. It was an honest mistake and charging people over $100 for services not rendered without communicating that is the policy clearly is an extremely bad business practice, as is using the language of "taking care" and "being well" sarcastically in your obviously spiteful response.

From the start of the booking through the massage itself everything was done professionally. The manager Julie was able to schedule my massage within a week! On the day of my visit I completely the intake form and listed my area of attention and my goals. Michelle was my therapist. She was fantastic! I had an individualized one hour massage. All my problem areas were addressed. I felt great afterwards! I will be returning as it’s only 1 mile from me! Thank you Julie and Michelle for a great experience! Love the atmosphere too!

I’ve been here a handful of times now for a deep tissue massage and always had a very positive experience. I feel heard when I express my needs - everyone I’ve been worked on at this spa has taken me seriously. As a tattooer I have lots of upper body tension so this kind of care is very important to me.

My mother and I treated ourselves to incredible massages from Cory and Michelle today; they were highly skilled and literally rubbed away every ache and tension in our bodies.

Be Well is just the best. I'm fairly convinced Michelle is a witch (a good one) or at least a magician. Julie is always sweet and accommodating when I request appointments and during my post-massage haze while I chug water in the reception area. I have never actually reviewed anything online before but want to shout from the rooftops how incredible they are and how much they've improved my physical and mental well being.

I had a hot stone massage here and it was pretty awful. I felt like the woman was rushing thru everything. She was loud with the top of the metal stone water lid several times. It’s tile floors in there so you hear every footstep and she rolled a chair over when I’m supposed to be relaxing. It’s was just so not relaxing due to the environment. The music playing was interchanging between jazzy sex music, music you would hear in a drama movie, and not relaxing tones. The lights were flicking from dim to bright the entire hour and she never tried to fix it. I’ve had many massages and just the way she uncovers me (I think she looked too!) to put an extremity out for the sheet, it was very unorganized and not the relaxing professional experiences like I’ve had elsewhere where they carefully tuck the blanket in and carefully lift it as to not wake you. She was messy and seemed almost angry like the way she moved the sheets. It ruined my relaxation every time she flipped a blanket like she didn’t care if I was relaxed. The worst part was the part I was looking forward to the most, the stones. Kudos to her for handling rocks that hot in her bare hands but I think they need a way to measure the heat better or communicate with the client like they do when asking if they like a massage with a firm, medium, or soft pressure. Ask if the client is sensitive to heat. I don’t think I am that sensitive but I was getting BURNED. If you are moving a hot rock all over my skin, it’s a different experience when you lie that hot rock in my back to stay there. It gives off all its heat to that one place. It’s HOTTER than when it’s in motion on my skin. I kept spazzing when she would leave them in my back and she would just wait and keep trying and then eventually asked (with a tone too!) is it too hot? Yes! Communicate before you burn me! The massage was okay but she was an awful facilitator to relaxation and I think my safety. Even though the heat from the rocks hurt, I think my biggest problem was the lack of focus (or respect) for relaxation. That was constantly interrupted.

What a great spa experience! My boyfriend took us here for a couples massage and every part of the service was relaxing. They tell you to arrive about 15 min early so you can use their dry sauna before your massage, so make sure you take advantage of that. Then your therapist will discuss what you'd like to focus on during your massage. After an incredible hour long massage you'll take a steam shower that's so nice you won't want to get out. This was truly a wonderful experience all around!
