Beau Ideal is a fun spot that feels like you just walked into an upscale shop in New Orleans. The great atmosphere is matched by friendly service. My girls absolutely love “going to the spa” to get their hair done. It’s alway a great experience when you visit the Beau.

Love the service. They can typically see you very quickly for an appointment. Since my old stylist left, nobody could get nearly close to the haircut I used to have but Morgan does a great job at giving me the strange edge to my hair that I like. Also, off subject but check out STABS next door if you got a little extra green in the wallet because that place is amazing and has some of the most interesting drink choices.

Went in for a very simple men's haircut. I requested a #1 up to the part on both sides and the top trimmed to an inch long. The stylist did not seem to care at all about what I wanted. I walked out looking like Macklemore. I had to pay someone else to fix it later that day. Will never return.

I came to Ideal in a time of need, I had just had a break up and had a birthday coming up...approaching age 40. Christy cut my hair and she was nice enough, even offered to put in a little curl and hairspray for me that day because of my birthday. However, after washing my hair, and fixing it the next day, it just was not at all what I went in there for. It looked straight across and like something I had in high school from Supercuts in the 90s. I really needed this self-esteem boost so I gave the salon a call to give them a chance to fix it before I did my review. I'm still waiting on a call back to see if they can work me in (I'm a new customer by the way, this was my very first visit) but she had prom customers during this weekend. However, being that my appointment was yesterday and my haircut was not satisfactory, I felt I should have been worked in, or received a little better customer service for my situation. I didn't expect to get a straight across haircut hidden by curls that day. And going out for my birthday after this breakup, is just not leaving me with a good feeling about this salon. Beautiful, picturesque on the outside, a lesser quality business on the inside. If they decide to actually call me back after hanging up me, saying that I would receive a call back and then hanging up without asking my name or number, then I will update my review but right now, I'm just not feelin it. Ladies, when we pay 30 for the cut and 10 for the tip, we are not wanting a 15 supercuts feeling at the end of it. Rethink it before you try this salon. In hindsight, I wished I would have kept my former haircut and waited until after my birthday to get it cut, because the old haircut looked better than this one. Thanks.
