Rude even before going there she hang up on my face once she knew I needed a different day then what she offered called back no answer great job on losing a potential customer

Derlyne is absolutely beyond amazing! I have been going to her for two years now and I will never trust anyone else to do my hair. As a model, I am constantly changing my look, and Derlyne always has amazing and gorgeous suggestions that she’s able to execute perfectly. She also did my wedding hair - she came all the way to my house on the day of to do it so it would be fresh for the ceremony! When I first came to Derlyne, my hair was a tangled and damaged mess. Not only has she been able to nurse my hair back to health, but she has also been able to make it look even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

Darlene is beautiful and amazing. She did a deep conditioning treatment on my textured hair. My hair is treated, was super thirsty, and was very happy when we were done. I would go back to her just for the shampooing! It was a comforting, relaxing experience. She has a nice, clean, cozy, private salon suite on the second floor in a cute shopping center in Dr. Phillips. With this pandemic, I really loved how I was the only client that she had at the time. I appreciated how she was able to fit me in on the same day that I booked. She formally learned how to do hair and makeup in L.A. and like how she did my blow out with the right amount of straight/waves/curls. I'm not a big product person but I'm glad she introduced me to a nice alternative to dry shampoo. She is now my official go-to gal in Orlando. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Darlene.

I highly recommend going to her, she's very patient and she did an extremely amazing job with my silk press despite me having long, thick, and very malnourished curly hair. Worth every dollar.

I took my daughter there to get a silk press. Derlyne did a great job. My daughter was very happy. Would definitely recommend this salon to all my friends. Derlyne was fantastic and very friendly.

She did knotless braids for me and they were very neat. Overall, she was very professional. We had some good conversations while she was doing my hair. I’ve recommended her to my friends and family.

i came in with bright RED hair. I told her i wanted a light brown, a trim on my ends and also a treatment to remove all my red so my color brown can catch quick. i done it so many times at home with no problem. I go here and she tells me she cannot do it because it’ll strip all my red out(duh that’s what i want) but still didn’t get the treatment. my color is still red, a dark red. she also cut my hair when it was dry so my ends look horrible when it’s wet. this was supposed to be my birthday present for myself since I work 6 days a week no break, and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I wish I done this myself at home. I would’ve saved $220 and a heartbreak. NEVER again will I trust another hairstylist. MAKE sure you do your research before sitting in a chair.

I’ve had the smoothing treatment twice in the last six months. Darlene is amazing; she’s a hair-fairy! One feature worth mentioning is how she values my time. If she booked you at a certain time, she is on point. I get her full attention, is a 1 on 1 interaction, stress free environment... her products ROCK. Great hair salon to go too if you are looking to get your hair done. She been in the business for a long time. She knows what she doing, she pays attention to detail and customer needs. I found Beautiful Obsession Salon today and Darlene J. was a God-send! I needed an emergency hair do over and not only did she make time to correct my previous do, she did it perfectly! She’s very professional and I love her new salon. I’m very happy to have found Beautiful Obsession Salon and would recommend her services to anyone. She has found a dedicated client in me. I had taken advantage of a Groupon deal and surprised two of my daughter's with a girl's day at the salon for a cut and Kerotin. I had called Derlyne to make an appointment and she was sweet and courtious and up front about an extra charge for long hair. I expected this as all salons typically charge more for long hair due to more product and a lot more time put in by the stylist. Upon arrival Derlyne offered us water, soda or a glass of wine. It was important to her to give her clients what they wanted and make them happy. It was obvious that she loves her work and she knows what she's doing. To say Derlyne went the extra mile for us is an understatement! We ended up adding on highlights for my one daughter and Derlyne spent an entire day working on us. It was a total transformation. She worked miracles on our hair also explaining to us how to care for our hair after the treatment. Derlyne was amazing and we have found a permanent stylist that we can't wait to come back to! Thanks Derlyne!

I love this place. I did a keratin treatment and so far it was the best one. Lasted really for a long time. Great results. Amazing atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I purchased a Groupon for Keratin and was overcharged when I asked her to trim my hair. The Groupon with haircut was an extra $4 but she charged me $25. I paid it and still tipped her an extra $20. I left a review on Groupon and she contacted me to delete in order to refund me $25. She never refunded me, but left a comment stating she refunded the money, Darlene also commented that my baby was screaming which is not true, and has NOTHING to do with her fees, there was also no glass of wine offered. I wouldn't return or recommend her. The keratin job was decent, but Darlene isn't.
