B.E. hair salon is beautiful salon located in the heart of Wayzata, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The salon prides itself on using low-toxin, organic products, which is a huge plus for anyone concerned about the chemicals in traditional hair care products. First salon I have visited that doesn't smell like a salon! The atmosphere of the salon is so peaceful and calm, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kassandra, the owner and stylist, is fantastic. Her friendly and caring nature instantly puts you at ease. She truly listens to your needs and delivers excellent results every time. I wrecked my hair with bleach and was desperate for help. Kassandra got me in within 48 hours and saved me with an amazing color correction and a perfect cut. An extremely talented colorist!!!

I trust her not only for her expertise in offered services, but also her vast knowledge of non toxic lifestyle (which includes beauty products). She brings a holistic approach to everything she curates and offers to her clients. I appreciated her process and recommendations on hair cut style to remove bulk without sacrificing length, and a color correction and plan, not to mention leaving with healthy hair after coloring services! As someone whose health requires the cleanest ingredients possible, I only go here. I know I’m getting the best because I’ve searched and reviewed many salons, their color lines, and products. Thanks, Kassandra for making hair coloring (and minimalist products) accessible and healthier than 99% of the rest of the industry…and a cozy, calm, clean atmosphere!

I had a good experience here. My hair is wrecked and I am trying to get it healthy again and felt that organic help would help. She made my hair a beautiful brown again with some discreet highlights and she fixed my cut. It did not take hours and I loved the salon décor. Kassie herself was no nonsense but kind and warm.

I was asked to remove my photos because they are "inaccurate", despite being true, unedited photos. In the sunlight, you can see my hair is two different colors as the dye was not applied correctly. I am choosing to reappend my original photo, along with my before color and after my color correction elsewhere. It is important to note my request all along was a bright copper red, which was not achieved at Beauty Ecology. I wrote a fair and thorough review, which apparently was an issue, so here's the short of it. I called for a day of appointment, but was clear I didn't want to be an inconvenience. Kassie made a mistake and took me anyways, globbing on my hair dye, letting it sit for over an hour, rinsing water down my back, asking me to dry my own hair, and burning my scalp all because she overbooked herself. I did receive a refund for the color, and also an offer to have it fixed. I declined to have it fixed by her, given the above experience. It was also frustrating trying to communicate via text next steps before the refund was issued, and to be threatened to not receive a refund if I did not remove this review, but I am glad to have written responses to everything. I am sure she does good work, but my hair did not turn out. I would hope she does not overbook herself in the future. I will not return personally. Beauty Ecology is above and beyond most high end salons. The atmosphere, cleanliness and professionalism is a five star salon offering a refreshing unique experience. Kassandra lives and breathes the science of healthy hair and skin. If you have a concern she has a solution. I just moved here from NJ and looked for an Organic stylist. She is very nice and asked for root touch up. What I ended up with was a blowout then straighten, then she wanted to cut the uneven part on the back of my hair and wound up cutting it way to short I look like a poodle after I washed my hair. I have curls so it will get shorter after it dries. I am not happy because when I told her I was bringing her shampoo back since I was nervous about using it. She became mad and wanted to go there and she ignored me. Wound up sending UPS .

I’ve been having blonde highlights for the last 20 years and this is the BEST work someone has ever done in my hair. Kassandra exceeded all my expectations and I’d never think that my hair could be done in less than 1.5 hours. I’m a very busy person and well invested time is really important for me. Overall the experience was amazing and I kind of feel I found my dreamed hair stylist.

Amber has always genuinely listened to and answered my many questions about product and different natural hair care methods, and provided kind and thorough instruction as to how to best care for new styles. When I gave her freedom to "pick a style, any style," she did not disappoint, providing enough change that I didn't look the same as when I entered (a great improvement!), but not so much that it wasn't in line with my personality. I also love that the atmosphere is so comfortably mellow & relaxing...yet organized and clean. When I'm in the chair here, I feel like my entire mood is getting serviced. :-)

I am so happy I finally took the plunge and put in a couple extensions in my front trouble spot! I had been thinking about it for a couple years and Kassie patiently answered my questions - and when I got serious about it because I felt it would fit in my budget, she answered my many, many questions (she knows I need to feel comfortable with what is happening and my budget). My front section of hair had stopped growing beyond my cheekbone area and it just didn't look right - I loved my color but didn't love the way it looked. Last night I finally put in 2 extensions and it made a world of difference!!! My hair looks fabulous!!! I am thrilled. Thank you Kassie for being patient with me - because you were not only am I thrilled with the final look I am happy with the process and cost. Yay!!! On another note, best deal in town....20 minute facial while your hair processes for $20 with Taylor!!! My skin is glowing and Taylor is a wonderful esthetician!! I will definitely be doing that again!

I wanted to make the switch to healthier hair coloring and reading the reviews about BE drew me there for their organic approach. I highly recommend this salon- Kassie has taken her time listening to my desires to go back to dyeing my hair that's turned fairly grey after my pregnancies. I felt as though I'm looking in the mirror 10 years ago! It is a great feeling to know that there are options out there that are chemical free & natural. I visited Kasia last week for my first ever natural, ammonia-free (minus several other nasty chemicals!) hair color. From the moment I walked in (this was my first visit, too) I was warmly greeted and welcomed by Lauren, the salon manager and then the owner, Kassandra. I am SO pleased with the results of my hair color! Kassandra, gave me exactly what I wanted in terms of color and highlights, and her service and level of professionalism was across the board extradordinary! I love this salon's committment to organic ingredients in their products. I highly recommend Kasia for both services and total hair and body care products----and, top notch customer care!

I would highly recommend them especially Carina. She was magnificent and gave me the best curls to go out that night after a trim for my anniversary. I've never had anyone be able to curl my hair and have it stay curled while not looking greasy. The curls lasted all night and with volume. Thanks for a wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back. EXTRA PLUS: she's a delightful person to chat with :)

I've turned to Kassandra and Beauty Ecology over the past 3 years and have valued her services and knowledge for a variety of my hair challenges! She has helped me with thinning, dry, and brittle hair. Over the past year due to environment and internal health nuances, I experienced sudden and serious hair loss. While getting her help in strategizing my hair cuts through this process, I started on her Evoq Root Revival Hair Growth program. Kasia is a wonderful salon. The owner was gracious and sensitive to me and my daughters wants. When I called on a Saturday for an appointment for Sunday, I was told they were closed. Two minutes after hanging up I got a text that the owner would see us on Sunday even though they were closed because she knew it was important to our family! Never have experienced anything like that. Well done! I will be back again and again!

Since going vegan, I stopped dying my hair and going to salons altogether. Well 4 years later, my hair needed some help. And I needed to find a salon that used vegan products and hair color. I started searching around and emailing organic/natural-minded salons. Kassandra at Beauty Ecology got back to me right away (the same day!) and assured me her products were 100% vegan so I made an appointment right away. Kassandra was so sweet and listened to what I was looking for. The result? I traded my ragged blonde locks for a polished brunette look — thank you so much for the makeover, Kassandra! It was just what I needed to kick off spring :) If anyone else likes to vote with your dollar as I do, definitely check out Beauty Ecology — this is a local business with heart that cares about your health, the environment and the animals :)

The salon is modern and beautiful. Holly was an gem to work with. She was personable, made very helpful suggestions and was very clear. I loved my haircut and styling. Unfortunately, I bought a Groupon to use here and what was promised was unclear in terms of what the express Keratin treatment included. The owner should have been upfront when helping me book the appointment. (It really ends up being a deep conditioning at best.) Holly had to clear this up the more we talked during the appointment. I'd love to see Holly again, but I'm not sure I can justify the cost even though the experience was great, the results are not even close to what I thought I was paying for in terms of the overall result, even short-term.

What an amazing place! Kassandra is AWESOME!!!! I found} her salon when I was in search of CBD oil for my dog who has a very aggressive cancer attacking her from various debilitating tumors which are inoperable, unfortunately. She was given days to weeks on April 26th and based on her bloodwork, it was looking more like days. As a vet tech, it kills me that I can't save her. So, in a desperate attempt to keep her comfortable, and for some sort of miracle for my best friend, I started her on a ketogenic diet and CBD oil. The results were not even a 24 hour turn around. Kassandra is very nice and incredibly personable and even wanted to meet my pup so she invited us to her salon, listened to Brooksie's (my dog) story, took pictures with her and even watched Brooksie perform her tricks. She invited Brooksie to come back any time. Whether you need your hair done or to purchase products, or, if you are interested in ketogenic products or CBD oil, this is a great place in downtown Wayzata. It's in the new development kind of across from Maggie's. I highly recommend this little gem, and gem of an ownerm!

“Awful service, worst salon I've ever been in. Bad Experience” Sorry to say but this beauty salon has to be the worst experience ever. Bad service, the highlights was a joke. I left this salon with a headache from the stress i had there. Worst service I've ever had - please it's an insult to charge what they did for the service received. After the payment she dint give the bill.And I told her to take a tip of 2$ but she charged me 5$ and 70$ for just 6 highlights I would never return to this salon even if they offered me a free service. They are desperate for customers and I see why. And the worst part is the lady who gave this service is Founder of this salon.

Kass is a Pioneer of her time when it comes to all things organic beauty. She not only empowers people to better themselves but genuinely cares beyond the services. I showed up outside beautyecology's front door a few minutes after close with my hair all different shades of blonde from a bad box dye. She not only was able to keep the length I had but the color correction turned out amazing. She was very honest about pricing and kept it within my budget. She also worked around her schedule just to fit me in so my hair would not be a disaster. After she was done I left with phenomenal results and even purchase some hair care products to keep everything healthy and organic.

Relaxing, rejuvenating, and ongoing enjoyment! I wanted to find an organic hair color and salon and am so impressed. The color and texture of my hair is rich and lasting - very soft and more volume than before. Gray coverage is perfect! :) Kassandra is an artist with recommendations and cut and just a wonderful person. Highly recommend the experience, salon, and products. My many styling products have been reduced to one! Will be going back to try more.
