I will definitely be coming back here. As someone who really just kind of go with the flow when it comes to my hair and not really taking the time out to manage it. My hair was really damaged, dry and so brittle , she gave me recommendations and took her time to help me and made sure that I left satisfied and CONFIDENT 💕. She took her time, nothing was rushed at all. Not only that but her personality and energy is great! You can tell she really loves what she does and knows her stuff when it comes to this profession. She made me feel very comfortable and I will definitely be back . I very much highly recommend

Most stylists proceed to the end and then ask “Do we like the color?” During both my initial and post-appointments I was asked about the color I wanted to achieve. And was met perfectly every time. Always asked my opinion about light or dark or if I wanted to change it up. This hairdresser never goes into appointments blindly she asked about hair type, the color I wanted to achieve, style or natural or wig. Amazing, talented, and understanding there are so many words to describe this hairdresser. She has taken care of my hair twice and my hair has never felt so nutritious and healthy before. Definitely recommend and will continue to book.

I loved my appointment with Ms Queen. I booked on a Saturday for the next day (Sunday) and that alone was a thumbs up since so many shops are closed on the weekends. The atmosphere was great, the parking was easy -- I will mention the signage just because you see the storefront for Princess Nails and nothing to point you around the corner for Beauty Queens. Common sense does tell you to just turn the corner though lol. She seems very passionate about hair care and I'm glad I gave her a chance!

Queen really knows her stuff. She's very knowledgeable about having healthy hair and doing styles you want in your head. She's also a nice lady with a good personality. I don't usually let anyone trim my hair but she made me comfortable enough to assure me she wouldn't cut to much of my hair. I would recommend anyone looking to have work done to their hair for the health of your hair to check Queen out

I am new to town. I was reading reviews when I found this salon. I sent a message in the middle of the night. I hoped that the stylist would wrote back. I walked into the salon and I instantly felt like I was back home. I was prepared to book my next appointment way before the appointment was over. I can’t wait for this new hair journey.

Update- After reading the owner’s passive aggressive response, I am even less satisfied with this business. I have no issues with reading policies- I have issues with unsatisfactory services and practices. I refuse to address the owner’s response in detail, as their abdication of personal responsibility is evident. As such, I will not dignify it with a direct response. I came to this salon twice as an undergraduate student in the area. It was relatively convenient to book an appointment that was not too far out, so I decided to give this stylist two chances. First, the actual silk press was okay. At the time, the price was between $50-75 dollars. I went in expecting to only pay the amount that was advertised. I thought it was strange that the stylist kept asking me if I wanted services that usually goes with the style. I distinctly remember her using a strong peppermint product, and at the end of my service, I paid at least $150. At absolutely no point were extra charges mentioned, and nothing special (like a steam or masking treatment) was done to my hair. Her overcharging a first-time client she 100% knew was in college (no student discount like some other places) should have been the second red flag for me. The first red flag had to be scheduling itself. Her StyleSeat calendar did NOT match her actual availability. I understood being rescheduled for a pressing family matter she had. However, she went great lengths to explain how “exhausted” she was and tried to get me to reschedule an appointment that was 1)convenient for me and was 2)listed as open in her calendar. As a business owner, it is to be expected that your advertised availability be changed as needed to reflect your actual schedule. Lastly, she very obviously messed up a simple split dye. I showed her a reference picture, and my hair is very easy to work with, so there should have been no issue. She did not part my hair correctly, and misapplied the color. She tried to cover up her mistake instead of offering to fix it. I noticed both the very noticeable error and was again overcharged for the service. I have been to many stylists who have had no issue preforming any style or color treatments on my hair. If a stylist was ever uncomfortable with something, they stated that and did not do the style. Or, at the very least, they did not charge me for any unsatisfactory service. Instead of doing either of the previously mentioned things, she instead “strongly suggested” I come in WEEKLY for very expensive protein treatments. To be overcharged twice and not receive the service I wanted made me never go back to this shop. I felt obligated to give her the benefit of the doubt and leave a good review after my first visit, but it was not a completely honest review. For any stylist, make sure they are 1)adhering to the prices as listed and 2)know what they are doing with your hair. Advocate for yourself always.

*Silk Press w/ hydrating steam treatment* I highly recommend Beauty Queens Hair Salon (Mrs. Chikita). Professional and a true subject matter expert in her craft. The experience was top notch. She cares about the health of your hair. I received numerous compliments on my hair. She is my go-to when in the B.R. area.

I've been going to Chikita for a few years now and my hair has been better for it. After her visits, I feel like a new person! I get so many compliments on my hair after she works her magic. Chikita truly has growing hands and prioritizes keeping your healthy just as much as it looking good. Her salon is close to a major interstate, quiet, and very relaxing. A trip to Chikita is truly a hair investment.

Great customer service provided by Ms. Queen and her family. She went out of her way to help my college student in a new state. I really appreciate the hospitality and the personal Uber ride to her dorm. Did I say how flawless her hair was. She did a fabulous job on restoring her hair after months of braids and weave.
