Been going to this salon for years now and I’ve recently decided to write a review. The service is very consistent which is something that I like. Jay is professional and is flexible with any changes that you may want to make and he’s friendly so I don’t feel nervous when asking. Overall service is great and I definitely recommend going for consistent haircuts and others of that sort.

My boyfriend and I randomly found this place while walking around chinatown and the hairdresser was precise and listened to exactly what we wanted. He also educated us on what looks best for my boyfriend's hair based on the thickness my boyfriend had on areas of his hair, which parts to emphasize/volumize, and which areas to shave down to not draw attention to. It was $30 and was a great price!

Don't know the name of the hairdresser, but he did a very poor job, didn't listen to what I wanted and the cut was not smooth. I had to ask another hairdresser to "fix" it a little bit. Just bad experience.

I dyed my hair (super curly and lots of it!) at a last minute appointment here. I don't remember my hairdresser's name, but he knows what he's doing and he was very nice. thank you!!!!!

Initially found the salon on a recommendation and been coming for almost a year. Great haircut for a very reasonable price. Always very nice and attentive service.

This has been my go to place for a couple of years now and for good reason. My previous go to place closed during the pandemic and I was desperate to find a new one. Luckily, I found Leo at Beauty Style Exchange and he is AMAZING! I have the type of hair that is just extremely difficult to cut/style but Leo works his magic with those scissors every single time. Next time you are looking for someone to cut your hair, ask for Leo at Beauty Style Exchange. You won't be disappointed.

I asked the barber to thin out the top, and instead he cut it extremely short. He also messed up the hair length at either of the sides. The fade is good but probably won’t be giving these guys another try for $30.

I have been going here since I moved to the Bay Area four years ago. I've been mainly working with Jay, the owner of this salon. Other stylists I occasionally had are equally talented. Even though I live in Berkeley, I have been coming in at least every month. Even though someone mentioned there will be a wait even with an appointment, I would say this place always worth the wait. The price and the technique are unbeatable. I will be coming here in the foreseeable future

Save yourself and do not come here. I got a simple hair cut here and it is clear they have no idea what they are doing. There is no sense of technic or style. Gonna have to keep my hat on for the rest of the month now.
