I can’t recommend Ryan at Beehive Beauty Salon enough! He is incredibly skilled, especially with cuts. I’ve had a bob haircut for a while, and Ryan absolutely slays it every single time. His attention to detail, precision, and ability to make sure my hair is always perfectly styled are unmatched. I always leave feeling refreshed and confident. If you’re looking for a top-notch stylist who truly knows how to execute a perfect cut, Ryan is your guy! The salon is also very welcoming and friendly and the location is great with ample parking and lots of restaurant options to grab a bite after your appointment. The service price points at Beehive are very reasonable, which helps to make it a sustainable long-term option for me.

I scheduled two appointments with this company they said they could do one at 12:00 PM and another at 12:30 PM for my mom and me to get blowouts for my graduation day. My experience was incredibly disappointing. First, while I was getting my hair done, the stylist kept complaining about my hair length , which made me feel very uncomfortable. She said I should have mentioned my hair length when booking the appointment however, they never asked me about it during the booking process, as the service provider, that seems like a question they should ask , the agreed-upon price was $50, but they ended up charging me well over that price. There was no mention of an additional charge until after the service was completed, which felt deceptive , as my stylist was finishing, I noticed my mom was still waiting and it was past 12:30 When I asked why her appointment hadn’t started yet she said she was the same stylist who was supposed to be doing my mom‘s hair but she also had a 1 o’clock appointment walking in and would need to take her first because my hair was long , she said they only provide 30 minute windows for blowouts, and because mine took longer. She would have to skip my mom’s appointment and take the other appointment first which doesn’t make any sense. Why would we have to skip our appointment because they didn’t book enough time you should go in the order of your appointments , Nobody bothered to inform us beforehand, so my mom ended up sitting past her appointment time and unable to get her blowout until later which pushed everything back This was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of our time, also my mom brought some quick clip in hair pieces She wanted to put in her hair because her hair is thin and the lady said she wouldn’t have time to do that so my mom said she could put them in herself but the hair extensions are shorter than her actual hair so It wouldn’t have added any additional length my mom’s hair is thin so it would’ve added a little bit more volume, Because of this she ended up being late to my graduation because didn’t end up leaving the salon until 2:55 and my graduation was at 3 o’clock , when she had a 12:30 appointment ! Booking so closely together at 12 o’clock 12:30 and 1 o’clock appointment I feel like it’s on the company for over booking. They booked them too closely my mom was not satisfied with her shampooing. She said the lady’s fingernails were so long that she could not scrub the shampoo out of her scalp and felt her hair was not clean. After the shampoo she left her sitting in the chair with wet tangled hair and was gone for a while in the back so I grabbed the brush and started brushed out my mom’s hair to speed up the process , On top of that, the stylist was visibly annoyed and rushed through our hair which left us feeling dissatisfied with the final result. Given that this was supposed to be a special treat for both of us on such an important day, the entire experience was frustrating and upsetting before she even began my mom’s hair I told her about how my curls were falling out and she said she would fix it , she fixed the one piece that was straight but I was not satisfied with the look of my hair after this appointment this experience was stressful and frustrating, especially on an important day like my graduation also, there was a sign outside saying that there was a discount offered to FGCU students and we told her multiple times it was my graduation and this discount was not offered to us or mentioned for spending over 200+ dollars on 2 blowouts and neither of us were satisfied with our hair , my mom is a great tipper but she only gave her a basic 15% but of the unprofessional service.

Star rating Edited from the original, as the new owners are very kind and took the time to talk to me. They have nothing to do with it, and seem like very nice and reasonable people. I still think it’s a great salon with a good vibe and mostly great stylists. But my feelings about the rest of it are still the same. I went back and forth about posting this, as I do think there are A LOT of good stylists here, clearly based on the reviews. But I feel as if my mental health has been affected by this- so if this helps even one person, it is worth it. I went to see Christina on the recommendation of a friend. I have been struggling with hair loss and thinning hair for a while now. I went into the consultation thinking I was going to a professional who knows what they are doing. She is a master stylist, after all, with extensions listed as her specialty. So upon her advice, I put a $352 (half the cost) deposit on a beaded weft (not including the $200 installation fee). In the meantime. My friend who recommended me to her, lost a big chunk of hair. She is like me, struggling with thinning hair. She ended up ordering tape-in extensions. So she ate the cost of the original extensions and installation, then had to pay for the new extensions, a fee to remove the old ones, and the cost to install the new ones. When I talked to other stylists and friends with extensions, everyone had the same general consensus, that if your hair is thin, it cannot hold the weight of these extensions, and causes more hair loss or damage to your hair. When I asked Christina why she didn’t give me the option of tape-ins, she said “well you came in with your friend, and so I just assumed you wanted the same thing she had”. <<insert pause here>> what????? Fast forward to an annoying conversation later, I asked for my deposit to be put towards tape-ins. She said no.. that the company they order from does not take returns. But she “had a solution”. I could pay another $670 dollars for tape-ins, and another $250 for installation. I slept on it- is this really worth it? This morning I sent a message to the company FB page, asking to speak with an owner, as I understand the place just changed ownership. I got a call back from Debbie, the manager, who seemed like she was doing her managerial duty of sticking up for her stylist. She said 98% of the extensions they do are beaded wefts. She also let me know that the company they had ordered the extensions from just closed down (within the two weeks of the extensions being ordered, and mind you a different story than Christina) and that the Beehive would be losing money if they refunded my deposit because it went to the closed company. But she assured me the owners were aware of this issue and had been discussing it. This is a long rambling story, but the point is I went to someone who I thought could help me. I think money was the motivating factor, more so than caring if this was right for me. I feel totally taken advantage of. Hindsight there are not many reviews about her, maybe this is why. At this point, even if they told me they would do my extensions for free- the trust has been broken. I am a very loyal person, but all I ask for is honesty, and do no harm. I’m happy that I was talked out of doing these extensions by people who care, but so disappointed in the fact I lost $352 over something that could have and should have been avoided from the beginning. Moral of the story… do your homework. Which I will definitely do as I’m back to square one. Thin hair and all. 🙄

I absolutely love this salon. Christina is extremely knowledgeable about hair extensions and thoroughly explained the process, upkeep, and pricing. I have tried several methods and stylist and she is by far made my hair exactly like the pictures I SHOW. The salon is an honest company and always willing to work with you within reason this is a business. Listen to reviews of paying clients that continue to come back for the exceptional service!

I have been seeing Christina for months now and I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about her. She’s professional, extremely skilled and really takes the time to make sure you walk out of the salon happier than when you came in. The salon is a little piece of relaxation heaven. The vibes are always on point and give this mama the time away she needs to recharge. I have never done extensions before however Christina’s expertise is making me want to pull the trigger. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do it. There is new ownership but let me tell you that is the best thing that could have happened for the salon! To top it off they have an onsite doctor offering the following medical services such as Botox, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and fillers. They really have it all! All in all please consider trusting your hair with Christina or any of the other amazing stylists here!

Ryan cut my hair and it was the best experience i’ve ever had. He was very friendly and did exactly what I asked for. The cut was above and beyond it was absolutely perfect. I will go back to him for as long as I can 😍

5 Star experience. Located conveniently in the University Village Shops, Beehive Beauty Company is a hip salon offering a variety of beauty and salon services. I went there for laser hair removal and my experience with Christina was great. She was very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout my experience. Would highly recommend for anyone consider laser hair removal.

I would recommend this hair salon to others and have scheduled with Ryan again for a trim and color. First time at this hair salon and first cut and style with Ryan. The salon staff are all friendly and the studio is clean. Ryan was awesome! He listened to what style I wanted, took time to make sure we both understood the end result and the options compared to the photo I gave him, worked with the cut to get the layers perfect and then showed me how to style it on my own. He didnt expect me to talk the whole visit, stayed attentive when I did talk and introduced me to a new volumizer I am very excited for. My hair takes a long time to dry but he stayed patient. I would recommend this hair salon to others and have scheduled with Ryan again for a trim and color.

In my opinion this place is extremely overpriced for the quality of work that they do. Don’t get me wrong everyone there was extremely nice but they over charge for a Mid result. Haircut was extremely uneven and the blowout that comes after the haircut was not it. Definitely not going back other places are cheaper with way better results.

I go to Beehive to see Kristi Glow. Kristi is a fantastic esthetician and very knowledgeable. She answers all my questions, educated about what’s new in skincare, and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Kristi is extremely personable and you’re likely to make a new friend while there. The salon is fun and everyone is friendly.

I had kristi glow for my eyelash extensions. Ive never had it done before i really appreciated how she explained everything to me as she did it and I even fell asleep during the appointment. She was great.

I had my first appointment with Kristi this week to get my lashes done and she did an amazing job. They look super natural, just the way I wanted them to look. She is well educated on the industry and was great to talk to during my service also very helpful. She checked up on me a few days later to make sure I was happy with my lashes as well. Christen also has done my hair for 3 years now and does a great job every time I go. I will for sure be going back to get more services done by them!

I love getting my lashes done by Kristi. She really takes the time to listen to your preferences and is a true master of her craft. She does immaculate work. She makes sure you are happy with the final product and even checks in on you a few days later to make sure everything is still perfect. She’s also wonderful to chat with. So glad I found her!

Just had an incredible experience getting my lashes done with Kristi! She really takes her time to go over what kind of lashes you want and walks you through her process. I wanted a fluttery, yet still natural look which can suprisingly be hard to achieve and they came out even better than expected! I really appreciate how she follows up the next day to ask how my lashes are doing. Retention is also awesome. Highly recommend and excited to find my new lash girl! :)

Okayyyy !! this gem is my new favorite spot. Obviously have to give a HUGE shoutout to Kristi who made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The space is bright and has amazing murals & art all over. Kristi did a fabulous job with the lift & tint, and even made time for a dermaplane afterwards. Our conversation flowed + many moments of relaxation were felt ~ I will be back soon!!
