I was looking for a hairstylist that did hair extensions and while searching through the internet I came up with before midnight hair and decided to schedule with her. I’m so happy because she help me gain my confidence back I have thin hair and adding hair extensions did help me increase my confidence. I came to Kristina about 2 years ago when my previous hair dresser fried my hair bleaching it and was using the wrong type of extensions on my hair. My hair was extremely damage and destroyed and I honestly thought I was going to go bald. Kristina has nourished my hair and used the correct type of extensions and my hair is longer and healthier than it’s ever been. I am so happy with her services and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for hair extensions.

Not only is she extremely talented, but also she actually takes the time to explain her methods and recommendations, and she will only give you what your hair can handle. Before I came to to her almost a year ago my hair was very brassy, roots grown out, and damaged but Kristina has made it possible to have my dream hair. Kristina is one of the best hair stylists I've ever worked with and the only extentionist I'd trust with my hair. I have very fine hair and was super nervous to add anything to it, but Kristina has done a fantastic job helping me find the right amount, length, and size to avoid damage. She is wonderful to work with and genuinely cares about your hair health. I can't recommend Koa Beauty enough!

Kristina has been my stylist for over a decade. I followed her from Glow to A-list, and then to her own salon when she started Koa. I thought the salon located on NW 21st Ave was already excellent, but Koa's current location on SW Condor Ave manages to combine feelings of coziness, spaciousness, whimsy, and luxury all at once. You will always be happy with your cut/color/etc. because Kristina will make sure of it. Anyone who has had Kristina as their stylist will know that she could move Koa to Alaska, but most of us would still find her hair services worth the trip.

Aloha! I’m new to Washington and was in search of a stylist. I refuse to chance any salon. I was lucky enough to get a referral to Kristina at Koa salon. Brittany did an amazing job! It took ~5 hours to do my hair, but I was comfortable the whole time. The outcome of my hair is awesome! I’m usually timid about people bleaching my hair, but she did it amazingly. I can’t wait to go back in and let her work her magic :) She is very personable, professional, and considerate. I would 10/10 recommend.

I’ve been going to Kristina L since I was 22! (Now 34.) Before I found Kristina, I would Google the city for stylists, jumping from salon to salon trying to find someone I liked. Kristina attends numerous conferences across the nation every year to keep up on the latest coloring and styling techniques. As a result, she always makes my hair look current, without me having to battle it. The cut and color is done so well that it’s easy to get the look I’m after. I moved out of the city a couple years ago, but haven’t dared to try other stylists. She is worth the trip. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Nikki did a fantastic job. She nailed it! She took her time to listen to what I wanted which resulted with a very happy customer. Not only did she do a great job, she also made a little over 3 hours fly by! I got the balayage + haircut. I will definitely come back and will certainly recommend Koa beauty to friends. Also, the salon is adorable and the service is very professional. I can tell that Nikki and the girls at Koa are passionate about hair, stay up to date with current techniques and trends and want to please their customers.

I had a wonderful experience with Kristina during my first visit to the salon. I have black Asian hair and was looking for an ashy grey/brown balayage. Kristina was so knowledgeable and kind. She is truly talented at what she does. I showed her photos of what I wanted and I am in love with the end result. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an expert level balayage, especially those with dark hair!
