The whole staff here are wonderful! From nail techs, estheticians, hair stylists and so much more! They do mens haircuts too, way better than great clips or sports clips!

I was a walk in. Gina was at the desk, she had a cancelation. Took time to find out what i wanted. My hair came out gorgeous. I highly recommend commend her and the salon. PS: I slept on it and it's still looks great. Gina is my new stylist!

Mrs.Gina was so nice and knowledgeable. She did an amazing job on my hair color and cut! Truly knows how to make someone feel comfortable and beautiful in the salon. Would highly recommend!

We took our almost 2 year old son to get his first hair cut with Stacey, and our experience was nothing but amazing! The staff was all so friendly, patient, and understanding which is all you can ask when cutting a toddlers hair. We found the person (Stacey) who will now be our go to person any time he needs a fresh cut! Kelly, the front desk lady, was also just as amazing and helped keep him distracted the whole time! Thank you so much you guys!!!!

Every time I go to the salon Maritza gives me a new look. I am always happy to return to the salon and check with her what can we do. She knows the more flattering ways to use hair color to complement your face and hair cuts for your lifestyle.

Update: May 28th, 2022...so I took a chance, 2 years later, to come back to a different stylist who could do a keratin treatment on me (this salon, so far, is the only one I know that does a leave-in Keratin treatment..which I love) That said, another bad experience today, with a black stylist. It's been awhile since I last went to Belk, so I can't remember who worked on me before, but Desiree may actually be the same stylist I wrote my first complaint about. She proceeded to rip her brush through my wet hair during detangling. Despite me telling her, the first time, that I didn't appreciate how roughly she was brushing my hair, she continues..as if I was speaking to the wall or something. Even more, she became even rougher, almost like she was provoking an argument or fight. Why did I have to tell her again not to brush MY hair in that manner? I shouldn't have had to repeat myself. At first, I was going to let it go, but after I thought about it, that was blatant disrespect. At this point, since I don't know any other stylists there who do ethnic hair, I'm done with Belk. And what's even crazier, I had to explain to HER what's the CORRECT way to detangle wet hair..ENDS to roots, to avoid breakage/knots/snapping strands. She really proceeded to question me saying, " well how else should I brush your hair?" ..Seriously?? I mean good grief, I'd like to still have some hair on my head when we're done. I'm so tired of these stylists and their foolishness when the customer lets them know what they're unpleased with. Sadly, management isn't any better than the employees. I really had to tell the manager that just because a process may or may not be painful doesn't negate the fact that a stylist is mishandling hair..Wow. Good customer service is almost nonexistent these days.

5 stars aren't enough to reflect my experience here at the Belk Salon and Spa at the Avenues Mall. Initially I was quite nervous to put my hair in the hands of someone other the the hair dresser that I have been using for 12+ years. I needed a more convenient location as I have moved and had heard great things about this salon. Ultimately I was BLOWN away(no pun intended) by the hospitality and services that I was provided! The salon manager, Frank, confidently paired me with the stylist that he felt could best meet my needs. Desiree didn't just meet my needs, she exceeded them! She left me feeling SO confident. i asked for a trim, some shorter layers and some advise on products that would do my curls some justice. Desiree used her magic to give me the best blow out ya girl has ever had! 10/10 would visit again!

I am so happy Lauren has joined the Belk Salon team! She is an extremely talented hairstylists. I'm extremely OCD about my hair and Lauren has cut my hair for almost a year now. I've visited with no idea what I want, and very specific ideas (with pictures) and she has never done anything less than an amazing job. If you are trying to decide where to go, visit Belk at Avenues and ask for Lauren O, you'll be happy did. She is very versatile and can cut men's hair as well as she cuts woman's.

I visited this Salon, a week ago because I needed my hair done before a funeral and Cam was able to take care my hair in a timely manner. Not to mention it came out really nice, and I will be recommending people to her!

I was so nervous to get my hair done and the creative and friendly geniuses at the Belk salon not only eased my nerves but left me looking so good! 💇🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️ I saw Maddie today for a refresh to my pink and a bang trim. I love how she blended my natural hair into my pink balayage. The blow dry left me relaxed like a baby and I got two compliments from strangers as I left the salon. It’s hard to find a good stylist who really listens and can apply your vision to your head. Maddie totally did this. I’m really looking forward to going back. I’m excited to check out the other services they offer.
