Stylist is rude nor did she offer any resolve for my inability to find her place. It’s ok though. I don’t want anyone rude. I hope others have a better experience. 🎈

I received a consultation. The owner was amazingly knowledgeable about hair and what was going on with my hair. I am excited about working with her and gain from her experience and intelligence.

My experience with Shy Barringer was much less than pleasant. I had a short and impromptu consultation with Shy one week before my scheduled appointment. During that consult I explained what I knew I had going on with my hair. Medication is causing shedding. It’s dry but not breaking nor do I have any trouble spots. I maintain the good health of my hair myself, and have for years, but wanted to treat myself to a cut and color. Shy never said anything about the condition of my hair being poor because it wasn’t. Otherwise she, as the licensed professional would certainly have recommended treatment. She didn’t. My appt was at 5:00pm. She stated during my service that she had been “going” since 6:30am. As a result, I believe that I received less than quality service. Which may have resulted in the awful cut. My color was fine but the cut wasn’t right. I contacted her 2 days later via Facebook messenger to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the haircut she gave me. I spent $150 plus tip, everything should have been right, including my haircut. It was part of the service I paid for and purpose for booking with her. I sent her pictures of my hair and indicated that the style and curls were nice. But once I combed my hair out, the cut wasn’t correct. It was lopsided, uneven. The cut was not uniformed. She did not receive the complaint well at all. She was very defensive and told me that my hair was messed up when I came and that I was parting my hair wrong for the cut she gave me. I did not ask for a jacked up haircut. My haircut should have been Precision. I told her that a uniformed cut is not what I received. She yelled that I wouldn’t be receiving a refund, to which I responded “I never asked for a refund” and at that point nor did I want her to correct the cut. She never offer a resolution. She seemed to be more concerned with not refunding me than offering a resolution.I spend $150 and my hair looked like I tried to cut it myself. I’m dissatisfied and disappointed especially with her response to my complaint. I wasn’t rude nor did I yell. She was so upset about my pictures, but pictures do not lie. I’m posting this review because I saw the beautiful styles and look of the hairstyles that she created for women who suffer with alopecia on her webpage, great looking work! So I trusted her to do a great job on my decently healthy full head of hair. I feel as though she could have handled it much better than she did. I ended up spending money to have a corrected cut 3 days later. Moral of the story here, if you are looking for a stylist who can do a precision haircut, not just a pretty curly style, look elsewhere.

SMH.. DON'T DO IT! She butchered my hair and cut off my baby hair. You NEVER touch someone's baby hair! I specifically told her not to cut my baby hair and to fix what she already messed up on with my tapered cut, and she COMPLETELY FAILED. Then, she over charged me $15 for a service that was already too expensive. I thought she was going to be a good stylist and honest about what services she can provide. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!

I had THEE best experience at this salon. Coming from out of town it was hard for me to find a stylist who could get my hair as straight as I wanted it without using a perm. When I tell you my hair is straight but has body at the same time, I can’t even believe it!!! This is what I was looking for in Charlotte. I would recommend her to anyone who ask.

I love the new space. Very nice layout, great stylist, and a comfortable atmosphere. There's definitely a reason why everyone leaves here smiling. The stylist knows how to accentuate your natural beauty. I highly recommend this salon.
