Nao is the absolute best! I have been going to Berry and seeing him for years, and I will travel far and wide to continue that tradition. As a man with long hair I typically have to search a bit to find someone who gets what I need and does a thorough job, and Nao is perfect. They also take a very fair approach to pricing, they are available and responsive and have an online platform, and the salon itself is lovely. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Nao for almost 6 years and frankly he’s the best stylist I’ve ever had. I left Brooklyn 4 years ago and still drive into the city from upstate to see him every couple of months. He’s the absolute best. Lucky me and lucky you if you become his client.

Was looking for asian hair salons last year while visiting and decided on this place and am glad I did. Yuka cuts my chemically straightened hair and always gives me what I want. Won’t let anyone else cut my hair as long as she’s here. Come here for anything like wolf cuts, razored emo cuts.

Hi! I wanted to share my experience at Berry, I´ve had the Japanese straightning procedure retouch and I was really pleased. The place is cute, Nao was awesome and he did a wonderful job. Price was great it was exactly what I was looking for. I also had a haircut and even a neck massage. Thank you so much Nao, this will be my forever NY hair spot!

A beautiful hair salon 💇‍♀️ Went today to have a haircut after a long search for the right place. Came across BERRY place saw good reviews and decided to try. Glad I did, Nao the owner was super friendly and gave attention to all the small details I asked for. The haircut turned out amazing and I’m super grateful for a beautiful experience. Best haircut of my life. Aya and Nao are super nice. They are so friendly and make you feel at easy in their space. Aya is a magician. So good! My hair looks amazing. Thank you! It’s really hard to find a good hair stylist in NY, but I found it. My husband loves it too. He thinks I look “SUPER HOT!” So I will keep coming back.

I was lucky enough to find Nao & the salon when I lived around the corner 3 years ago and have continued to exclusively get my haircut here (even with a 30 minute commute now!) as no other salons come close to the quality and experience of Berry!! highly recommend for anyone who has ever been traumatized by a stylist not listening to you as that will never be an issue here

I went to Berry for seven years, and only gave up this privilege as I was leaving New York. Nao is extremely professional and consistant. As other reviews suggest, he is very friendly and highly skilled, a rare combination in my opinion! I always felt home at Berry and miss it dearly!

Lovely salon in south Williamsburg. Nao and his and his wife have curated a beautiful space that makes me look forward to my haircut every time. I recently visited and was impressed with the safety measures in place for covid. The place was spotless!

Aya is so sweet and talented. Great energy. She listened to what I wanted and delivered a beautiful cut. The whole experience I felt taken care of. From the little details, decor, music, and accommodations. Cookies, tea and chocolate. Yum! A little flower pot greeted me at my chair “Hi Amanda”. Also the time spent washing my hair and scalp massage was Amazing. I left light and happily floated down the street afterward to Domino Park to let the wind enjoy my new hair cut too ;) Thanks Aya! This is a small quaint salon. It has a very relaxing atmosphere. They accept walk ins but mostly they go by appointments. The price is a little bit high for a haircut but its totally worth it. It comes with a massage, blowdry and hair treatment and complementary coffee or tea. Nao was very nice and listened to what I wanted and at the same time put his own inputs so it would match me. Everyone is very professional and nice. I highly recommend this place. Once you try it, you will never want any salon to do your hair.

Nao and his staff are welcoming and always make me feel at home. Not only do I get a great cut and color, but a relaxing shoulder massage is part of the deal. I could get my hair cut closer to home, but the confidence of a good cut (and all the compliments I get) make the extra subway to worth the trip.

This place is heavenly! Serina is so friendly and knowledgeable and did a beautiful job with my hair! The massage was the icing on the cake! The salon is decorated with so much care. It’s truly a relaxing place to be.
