The ONLY salon I'll ever step foot in again!! I found Ashlee in 2018 - she took my terrible communication and frizzy curly hair, and turned it into the most luscious shaggy layers with a classic touch I could have ever imagined. I felt like a pinup! -- I took a few years break post-covid and a big move -- went through several highly researched + reviewed stylists who unfortunately just didn't have the touch/knowledge/technique I needed. Well, I went back to Ashlee last week and she is still the dream! She really does do your hair to your personality and face shape and adds her artistic touches -- after years of fretting I'm so happy to be back and will be following this team anywhere ✨

Stephanie did an excellent job cutting a long pixie cut for me. It can be hard to find a stylist who can cut short hair well - so I am super thrilled to have found Stephanie. Setting up an appointment was very easy. Ashley, one of the other stylists, had a client with her the same time I was there, so the environment at the salon was more like a group hangout which was a lot of fun. I will definitely be back!

I've been going to Stephanie for years, she's very welcoming and kind though all the other staff I've seen have been pleasant and all around everyone is nice and listeners. All their prices are on the website and I find them worth it with Stephanie since she's very knowledgeable and skilled. If you want something different she'll consult and comes to a compromise if she's a bit skeptical with what cut/style you want and how your hair texture is: she always puts the health of you and your hair first.

For the second time now, I showed up and my appointment was canceled last minute. This just wrong when it is expected customers give 24hrs notice to cancel. My time is valuable too! Beware, you may or may not have an appointment.

I have been going to Bettie Bangs Salon for 7 years now all bc of Stephanie! She absolutely blows me away every time I go in to get my hair Colored and cut. I will NOT go anywhere else! Blonde is already hard enough to do without damaging your hair and she gets it healthier each time I go and knows exactly how to treat my hair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bettie Bangs to anyone who is looking for an amazing and consistent experience each time!

I scheduled an appointment here for my wife's birthday weekend. She was so excited to finally get her hair done. She hardly ever takes time to do stuff for herself, as she is always taking care of the kids and volunteering for social services. Her appointment was at 9am this morning, the owner messaged her at 8:40am that she would be 30 minutes late. Stephanie arrived at 9:35am and didn't have the keys to the salon. They waited for someone else to arrive with the keys until 9:50am. My wife was in the chair by 10am. They discussed the hair color and Stephanie went to the back to mix the color. She then returned several minutes later to inform my wife that she didn't feel comfortable doing my wife's color, because she had anxiety or vertigo. She apologized and cancelled the appointment then, on my wife's way out the door, she hand my wife a 20% discount card. My wife is the sweetest person and patiently waited while this person dumped their problems on her, just because she believes people should be offered the benefit of the doubt. It takes a real piece of work to offend her and she is totally crushed. I have never heard of such unprofessional behavior. This is completely unacceptable, incredibly thoughtless, and rude. There are 1000s of other hair salons. I recommend finding one that can manage to show up and actually do the work.

Sadly I reached out to the manager over the website and left messages. Never heard back. I also did my research. Stephanie had great pictures of cuts and colors. When I called I explained what I wanted. I understood when she said she didn't have time to change my color from level 5/6 violet red to level 7 copper. She matched what I had well. She did a long to short style change on another client while I processed. It looked good. Then while she's shampooing me she tells me she's a little off and has anxiety. I totally understand. I've experienced this. I comfort her. Things seem good. Mind you, she's 25 years in the business. Self employed. Now my cut...I apologize for the mess, I've been cutting it myself. I say, I've had a fohawk, hi and tight, pixie I'm totally open. Stephanie says, okay you're heavy above the ears, I'll thin that out. She does that, evens out and trims the rest and says since you're growing it out that will grow nicely. What? Now, she was having anxiety...what do I do? I did say um, I'm not necessarily growing it out...she says, it's cute right? Sure, I feel cute. I'm very disappointed. I went out of my way. Knew I would be paying $180 and I could have done that at home.

Stephanie gave me some highlights and lowlights to blend in quite a bit of grow out I was dealing with because of the pandemic. I initially asked for a balayage which was more expensive but she seemed to think she could get my look with highlights which was cheaper so I appreciate her helping me not spend extra if I didn't need to. She did a great job with my cut, it was exactly what I wanted and my color looked great too. I left off a star because I felt like she handled me a bit rough. I'm actually pretty pain tolerant and I suppose I could have said it hurt but I tend not to speak up about that sort of thing and just let them do their work. Something I'm working on... Anyways, she made my hair look great but it wasn't what I would call a relaxing experience.

Stephanie has been cutting and coloring my hair since the 90s. Long, short, blonde, brown - you name it and she has made it happen for me. I drive all the way from Houston to Austin because she's that good!

This salon is terrible; I should have known better when there was a homeless man digging through the dumpster outside as I pulled up. Do not trust the photos; this place is very outdated. They filter the photos of the salon and of the styling they do. I think once upon a time it was beautiful and they had some talented stylist now it’s all just tired.

Unfortunately I do not think I will be returning to this salon, I have a few issues that have come up. I had my hair colored here recently, and to do the color I wanted, bleach was required all over my very dark hair. My hair is naturally curly and I was worried about the damage, knowing some would happen but my hairstylist assured me it would only be a slight texture difference. Seeing as how I normally do not frequent salons, I trusted her opinion. Now she let me know that she might not be able to finish because she had a client right after me and it would take a long time to do my color, I was totally okay with that. I sat for a while while bleach was processing, and and in that time her next client came and decided to shorten her appointment, my stylist let me know that she might actually be able to finish my color, perfect. Except I wish she would have just told me she didn't have time for me because it was very obvious that she was rushing through the bleaching process, there are a few spots that she missed, and neither the bleach nor the color was very even. I'm only supposed to have dark purple at the roots yet I have light and dark throughout all of my hair, my hair is not really naturally curling anymore it is only a frizzy wavy texture. Not worth what I paid ($300+) at all. (Hair before included, note my curls are all but gone.)

Had a great experience with Stephanie on my first visit today. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean and spacious. What I liked the most is that I was made to feel very comfortable, as Ive been to nice salons in the past that were rather snobby/uppity. Not this place at all. Extremely professional and knowledgeable while also very down to earth. (The atmosphere is always a big one for me). Stephanie used great products and educated me on future dos and donts for healthy color maintanence. This place will definitely be my new hair home and would recommend to anyone looking for quality services.

I am not leaving reviews often, but Stephanie deserves 10/10! She made a perfect hair cut and color for me. Love my new style, so cute, so easy to maintain! Will definitely come back again! In addition, prices are pretty affordable for such a great service!

I had an appoinappointment with Stephanie for partial highlight. She colored the back one solid color and Charged me for Root touch up! My roots still show! Even on the sides about my ears. $$$180.00 dollars! I have Never been charged for a "-root touch up" with a partial color. I don't mean to put Stephanie down. My hair did look good when I left. Then I went home and looked at the back and crown . My Grey roots are about a half inch showing at the crown! And all around my face. Thank you

LAST EDIT: I ended up scheduling an appointment with the salon after getting bad customer service. First mistake. I went in, and the first thing on their desk is the menu prices. I was looking through them. Stephanie tells me that my service will qualify as a color correction. The menu says $75/Hour. I was there for FIVE HOURS. Never in my life have a sat at a salon for five hours. And I’ve had a color correction before that took shorter time and got further with my hair. My hair ended up looking almost the same. It did come out lighter which is my goal but not even close to what I want. And then, I get to the desk and she quotes me $450. WHAT. I told her the price doesn’t add up. She says, “oh these menus are old. We updated prices in November.” And then proceeds to slowly put the menus on her desk. I try arguing that that’s what I was expecting and never have I ever paid that much for my hair. My new card had a limit of $200 on it anyways so I went home, bawling. One. Because customer service was terrible. Two. Because I didn’t get what I wanted at all. Three. The price is outrageous. My husband called and got things straightened out. I still have to pay. But I will never go back here. It’s my fault for going against my gut instinct after the first mishap. EDIT: Someone emailed me back and apologized and asked how they could fix it. I appreciate a business doing that and I asked what times they had available! That’s all it takes people. We all make mistakes, I get that, especially in these uncertain times. I cannot speak for quality of hair, but I am speaking about the customer service I received. I’m very disappointed. I was highly recommend to this place and scheduled an appointment. I had to reschedule because I had to travel. I asked for a Tuesday around 4. Someone emailed back and said “Tuesday at 12?” No. I asked for 4 because my husband does not get off until 3. Someone then put me down for a Friday at 3:30 randomly. I had never mentioned a Friday and I got an email that said “3:30 ok.” That’s it. I was so confused. I emailed, called, texted, left a voicemail and never got a response. I’m so disappointed in customer service. I hold customer service highly, as I’ve been a receptionist for years.
