I travel from Savannah to Atlanta just to sit in her chair. I initially went to her the first time because she was running a special with micro-links that could not be beat. Don’t get me wrong, we have awesome stylist in Savannah, but my experience went beyond just a style and affordability at that time. She honestly displayed her concern for the health of my hair. The equipment, time, effort and education she provided me spoke for itself. Chavela is professional, knowledgeable, personable, punctual and an awesome colorist. I travel back to her, simply because I know I can rest assure she is going to take care of me.

Chavela (Beyond Shears Hair Studio) is Amazing!! I requested her services for my May wedding and she did not disappoint. She showed up to the hotel around 6:30 am with her Assistant Kim and did not leave until well after the reception room reveal. She made sure 'not a curl' was out of place to ensure my photos came out perfectly! Chavela was meticulous, patient and attentive to the ladies individual needs. She takes pride in her work. I am forever grateful to her for making my Bridal Party, Mother and myself look like Queens on my wedding day.

Chavela is the GOAT! 🐐 She is a true all-around hair-care professional which has become rare these days. She stays on top of the latest trends and is always looking for new ways to make her clients comfortable during their services. She ACTIVELY listens to what you want to do with your hair and will go BEYOND to get you there as long as it will not compromise the healthiness of your hair. During my most recent visit, she gave me the most versatile sewin I've ever had but it was only achievable because of the consistent care and attention Chavela has given my natural hair over the past year and a half.

I have been a client of Beyond Shears for over 15 yrs. Even after losing contact for some years, Chavela remembered me and here we are again, going strong. I love how she is all about the health of your hair and making sure to advise or advise against when needed. I trust her so much - I can sit in her chair and just say- I need a Vellz special. She goes to work and I am always astounded by her work, even when I give her free reign to use my head as a canvas. The compliments never stop. P.S. When you find a good one, it is worth keeping. Not everyone can work with my naturally curly hair.

CHAVELA is by far the best hair stylist in Atlanta! She cares for your hair and for you as a client! I went in with a ton of breakage and I left looking and feeling amazing. Her hair care is on point because she deep conditions and provides steam hydration treatment with the best products. I have been a Beyond Shears customer for over ten years. In that time, I have received magnificent customer service and have experienced the best hair care for myself and my daughter. Chavela is very passionate about proper hair care. She doesn't a la carte you with her prices and her prices are extremely reasonable for the comprehensive treatment you receive. EVERY appointment comes with a steam treatment. She doesn't charge extra to make sure your ends are kept neat to prevent long term breakage. I have had almost every service she offers from her magnificent coloring, to her cute and edgy hair cuts, her traditional sewins, to my now favorite microlinks. She has kept both my hair and my daughter's hair very healthy with her apple cider vinegar scalp treatments and her amino acid treatments. My daughter has been going to Beyond Shears since she was 6 years old and now she is 16 and her hair is almost to her waist thanks to Chavela's care AND she has color with no breakage. Vellz did an amazing job on my hair color!!! I’m in love with it and so is everyone else. She made me feel so comfortable and walked me through the entire process (went from dark to light). Her shop is always clean, she does everything herself, and is always going to do what’s best for your hair while still making you look and feel great.
