I've been to Alexis twice now and both times she basically cut my hair identical to the reference photo I gave. I have very fine hair so I'm pretty used to that just not being possible generally, so her ability to replicate it was just awesome. Always leave with a smile. Cool name and great, thoughtful decor with local artists is also a bonus :)

Absolutely amazing shop. Holli is GREAT! Have been getting hair cut there for years and she always gets it right, every time! Very reasonable price for men's haircut. Uses my they/them pronouns and is always happy and excited even when it's been a long day.

As a big hairy monster I have always had a hard time finding a salon that can manage my unruly mane. Then I met Holli and she turned me from bridge troll in teen wolf and boosted my confidence and self esteem in one haircut. Her other co workers looked to be just as efficient and I will forever go back until you other 1 star rating goons chase me away with your torches and pitchforks. Thanks Holli and Big Hairy Monster for making this old chunk of coal feel like the hope diamond.

Holli has ALWAYS been there in a pinch to save the day when I’ve decided to cut my own hair. She’s one of the kindest, most professional, and frankly BEST people that I know! I love Big Hairy Monster and I’m so happy to see how it’s changed and grown! Five stars and if I could, I’d give it more!

Holli has been cutting my hair for awhile now and I can’t recommend her skills and this salon enough! Holli always cuts my hair in a way that grows out beautifully and is easy for me to style on my own. I love the decor, vibe, and showcasing of local art. Parking has never been an issue despite the busy location. Always a wonderful experience and I highly recommend!

I am HUGE fan of Rachel and Holli! They both assisted in getting my hair back to a healthy state . Not only are they talented but they’re incredibly kind! I’d had been spending years at the wrong salon , when I came to Big Hairy Monster I had very damaged hair . After ONE session I could instantly see a difference. I’m so grateful for them and am a devoted client now and forever!

Holli is the absolute best. She carefully led me down the journey of cutting bangs -0 years ago and kept my ‘bangin’ bangs’ looking fresh ever since. She has given me long trims and short bobs, and each looked amazing. They are friendly and accommodating with style and fun. Plus the art displays are always impressive!

I have been seeing Holli for many years now to get my hair colored and cut and she is amazing. She is the only person I trust to do my highlights and they never turn out brassy or orange. I found her through a friend at work and pretty soon all of us blonde nurses were seeing Holli on the regular. Her prices are beyond reasonable for her expertise and the quality of service she provides. Not only is she great at what she does, her salon is so cute and there is always fun art on the walls that's also available to purchase. 10/10 you will not be disappointed if you visit Big Hairy Monster 👾👽👻☠️💀

I have never had a good experience with a salon before today, so I was really nervous about trying again after botching my most recent attempt at cutting my hair. I really thought they must think I was a basket case when I made the appointment because I kept stressing that my hair is super curly and hard to manage, but from the second Rachel greeted me, she made me feel heard and taken seriously in a way I’ve never experienced before. She was so kind and supportive, and really took the time to listen to my concerns and make sure we were both on the same page before she even put the cape around me. I left the salon about an hour ago, and I can’t stop smiling at how cute my hair is now. She really worked some magic and brought my butchered frizz back to life better than I ever could have imagined. I don’t think my curls have ever looked so bouncy and fresh before, and I’m beyond thrilled with it. Can’t recommend enough! 🤩

Love BHM. All of the stylists are friendly and welcoming, I even showed up on the wrong date and Holli was helpful and friendly about my small blunder. My stylist envisioned everything I was describing for my style and executed it perfectly. I’m very keen to go back! Great atmosphere as well.

The vibe was so good! I just flew into the area and needed something fresh and they were so kind to let me come in day of it worked out perfect. Alexis was so kind and I am in love with my haircut. This place in general has awesome people who are a master of their craft! Love the vibe everyone has, and it’s just such a cool salon!! However, if you’re lucky enough to be able to schedule an appointment with Rachel; just drop everything you’re doing, and do it! She’s always actively listening to what you want and will never let you leave without looking 10x better than how you walked in! Every day is a wonderful day when you get to crack jokes with her and end up looking amazing!

WOW! This place was wonderful!!!! I called & they called me RIGHT BACK & got both my daughters in the very next day! No problem! RIGHT ON TIME! and the customer service was AMAZING! SUPER SWEET to my kids, patient & actually acknowledged and interacted with my girls about their hair! My girls have super long hair & she knew exactly what she was doing & they both turned out exactly how we all imagined! We will definitely be back for our next haircuts! THANK YOU!

We love Rachel! She cuts our 3 year old's hair every 2 months or so~. We tried several other salons and he wouldn't let anyone near him w/ scissors but she's found a way to make comfortable. Highly suggest this place!
