Bijoux is a gem of a salon conveniently located in downtown SF. All the stylists are super friendly and talented, especially Paul. He’s always fulfilled whatever hair whim I’ve come up with or if I’m lacking inspiration he will come up with something awesome. Great hospitality, aesthetic and comfort. Vegan friendly. Art, jewelry and hair products for sale.

I am so grateful to have found Bijoux salon! Paul does such a fantastic job with my highlights and I am thrilled he uses a cleaner line of color products! The salon space is bright and comfortable with nice art on the walls. The salon is very conveniently located in the heart of Union Square. I have done my homework and Bijoux salon is extremely fairly priced, especially considering the quality of the product lines they use. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul and Bijoux salon to anyone!

Paul Laxton is simply the best - he's an expert stylist and colorist and I always receive compliments on my hair after seeing him. When I came to him for the first time, my hair was brassy from a previous colorist. He had a vision for my hair, with Gisele-inspired highlights and a few months later, it was actualized! He is also the BEST listener - I swear, he remembers more details about my life (some dating back years) than some of my closest friends and always has an amusing outlook on stories I share. Don't walk, run to see Paul - you'll be happy that you did :)

Bijoux is amazing and so is Paul! I've been getting my hair cut by Paul for nearly 15 years and I can't recommend him more, especially for curly hair cuts. The space is relaxing and beautifully designed, and the team at Bijoux always makes you feel welcome.

Bijoux salon is a clean and beautifully designed salon right in the heart of SF. The picture windows offer the best scenic view and location is conveniently located. They always have beautiful plants to enjoy, excellent hair products for purchase, and new and innovative art on the walls featuring local artists. The owner, Paul, has been doing my hair for years. He is a master of his craft! My cuts and color are always perfect. He always has great, fresh ideas to update my look but at the same time listens to what I like (and what makes me feel best!) He is so funny and engaging… and gives the most relaxing shampoo. The salon always has fresh water and treats… a true self care experience!

I have been seeing Paul for nearly 15 years, even after I moved out of San Francisco. He does a fantastic job with my hair: when I get in the chair, he asks me about my vision. I love how he takes what I want and recommends options to me, and then gives me a style that works for my lifestyle, looks good at the time it is cut AND grows out well. He's also great to chat with. Highly recommend him!

Paul is absolutely the best of the best!! I have naturally black hair and I've been with him through nearly every shade of balayage and/or highlight throughout the years--from a light honey, to caramel, to dark espresso. I've tried out many other salons and nobody can work with hair like Paul 🤩 I always feel like a movie star leaving Bijoux, with my hair blowing around in the wind lol-- the color and movement is just 🤌 unmatched. Highly recommend!!

Bijoux is the best! Beautiful space and talented team. Paul (the owner) has been cutting my hair for almost 20 years; he is a consummate professional, an extremely skilled stylist, and very attuned to the needs of anyone who walks through the door. I haven't worked with the other stylists, but would absolutely trust anyone that is part of the Bijoux community.

I got the best haircut of my life from Paul Laxton at Bijoux Salon! The blow-outs and color services are also top notch. I couldn’t be happier with how my hair looks after coming here. The second floor location is also bright and open, so it’s a real treat to make a routine visit when I’m due for some hair care .

I have been going to David for 35 years. I missed him so when he was on tour with Lady Gaga and the Glam Squad. Thank goodness he is back in S.F. again! Not only is David an exceptional stylist (color and cut, love it) he is also an accomplished artist. I have collected many of his amazing pieces. Visit David at Bijoux Salon. Phenomenal work and he's also lots of fun!

I heard about David and his fantastic work through a dear friend. I love the salon as it is both a calming and welcoming space and David is the best. He is both an artist in the salon and out. I love that he elevates his fellow local artists with his fabulous space on Hyde Street.

Paul at Bijoux Salon does a fantastic job every single time! I've been with him for over 15 years and don't know what I would do without him. My daughters and mom go to him, too, and he really listens to what each individual client wants, talks through the options, and makes it perfect. He is also such a good-hearted, friendly, funny person, and I always love seeing him. The salon is relaxing, and Paul always has good tunes playing. Can't recommend him enough.

Paul is an artist!! I almost want to gatekeep because the results from his highlights/balayage are like magic--I always walk out of the salon with my hair looking sun kissed and effortless! I have fine, black hair and went through a pretty looong blonde hair era, and trying to find someone who could get it to the color I wanted without doing too much damage was nearly impossible. Finding Paul was such a relief, and I've been going to him for years now--he is the only person I trust to do the job! I've moved across states and tried multiple other salons with great reputations across Miami and NYC, but Paul honestly has always come out on top. After a while I gave up even trying to go anywhere else, and would plan my bay area trips to always include a stop here for a salon appointment ☺️ On top of that, Paul is really just the best person. He's hilarious and kind, and Bijoux in general is a relaxed, warm and welcoming environment. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new stylist/salon!!

Paul is literally a hair master. Some stylist specialize in color, some in cuts, but Paul? He's the best in both. Everyone at Bijoux extremely talented and so friendly! The salon is beautiful, so conveniently located and they always have such cool local artists display their work. Great community, great hair, great people. Even though it's over an hour away, I'll be coming here forever. Worth every minute, every penny. Best salon ever!

This is truly one of the best salons in the city. I get the most perfect “wash and run” haircuts for my coarse and wavy hair, which always became puffy mushroom clouds before. They also lean towards more natural and environmentally friendly treatments. I would get the most stunning bleaching and highlights, all without a ton of chemicals! They’re also the nicest, genuine people- it’s a true no judgment zone!

David Reposar is the absolute best. Came to him after a high recommendation. He will make your hair so much better and do exactly what you ask for. I let him do what he thought was best and wow/ never felt more like myself and more beautiful! Top notch smiles and conversation too.

I have been seeing David for my hair for over 10 years now. Aside from the fact that he is an incredible hair stylist (he did go on tour doing glam for Lady Gaga), he is also a great human. I feel so taken care of by David with my hair care and health throughout the years and I hope you have a chance to experience this for yourself as well. I've been seeing Preston for over 12 years and he is the BEST of the BEST! He is somehow able to match my hair color to every reference photo I bring in perfectly, he styles my hair beautifully and is an absolute delight to chat with and be around. I always leave Bijoux looking and feeling like a movie star. The salon has a great location with a Starbucks underneath and close to Union Square so you can get a new outfit to go with your fab new hair. It's so bright and lively inside and filled with great local art and they have great products to sell. I look forward to my visits so much!

She always listens to what I want, is thoughtful and checks in to make sure I like what she's doing, and is one of my favorite people to just chat with. The salon is great! Laurel Beeby is the most amazing hairstylist. She has been my hair stylist for years, and I would never go to anyone else. You know she is great when you get compliments after each cut. Not only does she make you feel comfortable, but she listens to your concerns and does a most beautiful job of haircutting, coloring, and styling. Laurel is sweet, professional, and detailed. My daughter, who is very particular about her curly hair, which she prefers straightened, also goes to Laurel and is always happy with the results. Each client leaves their appointment with Laurel feeling their best.

Living on the peninsula, I usually shy away from going into the city for anything because I don't want to deal with traffic and parking, but Bijoux salon is in the perfect location that I rarely encounter traffic on my way and can always count on having ample, safe parking available at the Sutter-Stockton garage just a few steps from the salon entrance. Furthermore, Preston is the most amazing stylist...I always LOVE what he does with my hair, but his true talent is making his clients feel like a million bucks inside and out. He is a truly wonderful person and our great conversations make the time in his chair fly by!

One of my longest relationships is with Laurel. I've been seeing her for haircuts since 2007. She listens to my ideas and is helpful with her own when I’m lacking inspiration. She always does an amazing job - people compliment my hair right after my cut and even before my next cut because it grows out well. A bonus - I truly enjoy her company and chatting with her while I sit in the chair. Once I “cheated” on her with a Groupon hairdresser b/c I was looking to save some money being a poor graduate student. BIG mistake. It made me realize truly how good she is - I have not and will never do that again. Laurel is a gem - great at her craft and a delightful human!

Paul is AH-MAZING! I have being going to him for close to 10 years now, and I have come home looking like a million bucks every single time! The salon is beautiful too. Natural light, happy plants and rotating art from local artists that’s always really interesting and adds to the serenity of the space. Everyone there is great, but Paul is a miracle worker!

Preston has been cutting and coloring my hair for well over a decade. His color and cuts always grows out beautifully (I can be lazy about getting into the salon as often as I should). I truly look forward to catching up with Preston during my visits, and whenever I walk out of the salon, I feel both gorgeous and joyful. Bijoux is across the street from the Sutter/Stockton garage, so parking is a breeze, and I usually spend some time shopping while I’m in the area. Preston juggles many talents (he’s an incredibly talented stylist and chef too), so he can be booked out well in advance. Trust me when I say that your patience will pay off…so worth it!

Preston is just absolutely fantastic! I used to dread getting my hair colored and cut that I’d seldomly go. Now, I honestly look forward to my appointments with Preston every 5 weeks. He has an amazing talent, and I love my hair for the first time maybe ever since I started going to him. He is also a warm and sincere ray of sunshine. I can’t recommend him enough! There is easy parking across the street at the Sutter Stockton garage. The salon itself is lovely with tons of natural light and lots of little plant babies around. Everyone there is friendly, and it’s a comfortable chill space.

Preston is the most talented and incredible hairstylist ever! I have been with Preston for over 14 years because he is amazing.
