I have been coming to Bird’s barbershop on and off for the last 10 years or so and they are always hit or miss. I usually come in for a styled long cut. Last time I came in I saw Stephanie and I loved it, but her schedule didn’t match with mine so I tried Priscilla this time and I have to say it was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received. The allotted time for a long cut styled is 70 minutes and I was in and out of there in 35. Not saying I want to spend that much time in the salon, but you think with somebody who has such long hair as mine was, that you could spend a little extra time cutting it. I wanted a trim with some layers and a little bit of a curtain bang and my hair wasn’t even separated into sections, it was cut as one piece. And it was cut with what felt like was someone trying to curl ribbon with scissors like a straight razor to my hair. I swear the texture of my hair is different. It has lost fullness that it once had. I’m getting married in three months so I can only hope that my hair grows back in length and fullness so I can get a corrective haircut before the wedding. The problem with bird's system and everyone paying the same price for the type of cut that you get is that not everybody is qualified to do the same type of haircut. I'll keep trying for Stephanie!!

If you are going to Birds you have to book with Monica! She knows what she is doing for women’s and men’s hair! She was the best at birds on William cannon and now I followed her here. The ultimate hair professional. I’d follow her wherever she goes!

I asked the lady to use a 3 on the sides but to not take all the way up the side of my head. She took it all the way up, and now it looks like I have a dent in my head… They didn’t offer a drink, I had to ask for the mirror. The clean shave on the neck has hair in patches on my neck… overall terrible This is NOT a barbershop. This a a hair salon with hairstylist who have no idea or even care about how to cut men’s hair… Absolutely terrible

I go to a lot of different shops because I haven't found a barber that can cut my hair the way that I really like it to be cut. My hair is not difficult or anything but I feel like maybe my expectations are too high or something like that. However, Jayrika knocked it out of the park and I will definitely be coming back for her specifically! She had me in and out of there in 30 minutes and this might be the best haircut I've had in recent memory. After she followed all my instructions I felt it was still a little too long on top no problem she went ahead and trimmed it up a little further and absolutely nailed it! The true test of a haircut in my opinion is how does it look once I get a chance to style it and when I got home and actually messed around with my hair I can tell you right now that it's everything I wanted. I feel like oftentimes other barbers will cut your hair in a way they think it should be done or that they think that you want it done but she did it exactly the way that I wanted and I couldn't have asked for more! If you're thinking about going to birds and you're not sure who to book with because you've never been give Jayrika C. A shot! You won't be disappointed.

I've been going to this Bird's for five years. It used to be a really solid place to get a haircut that made me feel good. In the past year, the price went up more than ten dollars, and what you got for that price has been completely neutered. For a male long cut, I used to get- along with a cut- a bit of texturing product, like sea salt spray, and a blowdry. I never ask for anything more than a trim, but they'd always go above and beyond. Today, they wet my hair, gave it a quick trim, buzzed the back and sideburns, and.. that was it. I left there with wet hair in cold weather, kind of confused. My girlfriend went here yesterday as well, and she was told getting a blowdry would cost extra! I don't know if there's been a change in management or what, but no matter how good a fifteen minute trim is, $50 is overkill. It really feels like Bird's has lost its soul. Once a place stops taking cash, you know it's the beginning of the end. I hope they're at least giving their stylists a good cut of the pay with that increase, because I can't afford to tip ten dollars when the price goes up fifteen.

Second attempt to go here. This time I booked ahead. The first time they told me they were basically appointment only. I used to go here monthly from 2012 to 2015. After moving back to the area I thought I'd go back for a cut. My first time in was a bust because they want you to schedule online. My second time I came in and spoke to Sabrina at the front desk. She checked me in but responses were short and overall weren't giving a friendly vibe. I had a costume on (halloween) and I saw a stylist that had one too so I requested her. Sabrina said you have to request a specific stylist when you make the appointment online. I waited about 4 minutes past my appointment time and went back up and asked if the stylist I saw was busy after the client they currently had and she said "no, but you get whichever stylist is ready first" So I went online and grabbed a spot with that stylist for later in the day. While pressing the submit button to book the later appointment, a stylist called my name and I said "No, I'm good. I've cancelled this appointment" and she replied "OK" I then asked Sabrina if I should wait or come back at the later time and she said that that stylist is busy until later. LIES! She literally just said she wasn't. He attitude was unfriendly and seemed condescending. I asked for the manager and she told me she was the manager so I asked for the store owner. She gave me an email address and as I was writing the email she went in back room with the door open with some other employees and was laughing. Sabrina has no customer service skills and is incapable to being a successful manager without some serious coaching. After I left, I created a 1 star yelp review and as a result Sabrina cancelled my later appointment. Again, complete lack of customer service. Instead of being an adult and reaching out she chose vengeance. AVOID this barber!

The place is super friendly ...professional, clean. Front desk staff was awesome he was able to work my guy in. Jay gave me an amazing cut. I have high volume, thick, curly hair and she put in layers. Thinned some of the hair out...It looks fantastic thank you!

My son has been growing out his hair for a year and recently got a perm some place else. We came to Birds Barbershop to get small trim off the back and side, but at the end, his hair was many inches shorter everywhere, and all of his perm curls were gone. While his hair was being cut, my son noticed how his stylist was cutting his hair too short, so he requested the stylist to stop. However, the stylist insisted that there were some ‘tangles’ that needed to be cut, and kept on cutting his hair. My son ended up being very unhappy with how his hair turned out. ☹️

I was nervous to get a haircut. I hadn't had one in 5 years. I chose to get my haircut by Panda after reading good reviews. I can say I love my haircut. I don't think I will let anyone else cut it now. Panda did a freakin great job!

Awful Customer Service and they are not barbers. My son went in with 4inches of curly hair he had been growing out for a year. We asked for a clean up and an inch off the top and he came out with an inch left and a chili bowl hair cut. This location isn’t it.

I received the worst haircut I've ever had from this location. I asked for a 4 on the sides and 1/2 inch off the top and the stylist cut 3+ inches off my hair. It seemed like he had never cut hair before, and there was no cohesiveness to the haircut at all. I'm really not sure what else to say, truly awful experience.

I’m really disappointed in the slaughter location. They don't follow the policy listed on the company's email and don't seem to care.I had a 10:45 appt today with Stephanie. I arrived at 11:04 and still came since the policy says "more than 10 minutes will be rescheduled' The front desk person said that I was too late and I missed my appointment. I pointed out the 10 minute policy and then she glanced at the clock and said "it is exactly 10 minutes right now" super unfriendly and not helpful. My undercut usually takes about 5 minutes to do, so she argued with me longer than it would have taken. I like policies so I know what to expect - that can't be done when the front desk person refuses to follow them or seem to know them or acknowledge them. I wasted my time coming from work because I was following the policy sent by your company, and then the front desk person didn't seem to even know the policy.

Very friendly staff. I told the stylist I just wanted a trim, and my neck cleaned up since I'm growing my hair out. She evened everything out very well and didn't go overboard, which is what I wanted. Was quite happy with her work.

Cancelled my appointment at the last minute bc stylist didn’t show up to work. No solution to help me get rescheduled. This has happened multiple times in the last several visits. Birds lost my business today.
