Cole gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in the longest time, I felt absolutely pampered and my hair has never looked better, I even received a couple of compliments from other members of the team and it just made me feel special, thank you so much again!

One of the more stressful times I have had getting my haircut. I hoped it could've worked out since it's hard to find affirming spaces for cuts, but I don't see myself returning. I wanted a basic, clean high taper fade that, unfortunately, still looks choppy, even after my stylist cleaned up some areas I asked for when they completed the cut. I felt like their focus was everywhere else except my hair, and they felt it necessary to overshare about their personal life during my very first cut with them and the salon as a whole. If you ask your client how they are doing, and they say it's been a long and overstimulating day, please take that into consideration and try to make it a quieter and more thought-out time.

I had 6" taken off and had my hair darkened and I couldn't be happier! Jessie is amazing and I will absolutely be coming back to see her. I have also referred her to all of my friends because I've gotten a ton of compliments! Thank you again Jessie! 🙏🏼

I have been going to Bishop for more than 3 years now. I used to love their team and the effort they used to put into every detail of a haircut. But their service has deteriorated a lot, although I still used to visit them and recently I got a haircut which I would say was the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. Never gonna visit again.

Jessie helped me with a fun color for fall, and also did my curly cut. They gave me a great shape so my hair felt intentional, which I don't always feel with my loose wave/curl pattern. And then they worked some fall magic and gave me the flame orange hair of my dreams. 10/10 will be back to see them.

Went in for hair coloring during weekday afternoon, appointments recommended than walk-ins. Fast service ,good care and shampoo recommended for hair care available here. Recommended stylist -Adriana. She'll hear and do the perfect style and the hair coloring. Have a good visit.

Had a killer first true haircut experience today here at Bishops on S. Lamar thanks to Lulu who was incredible. I’m a dude with longish but well maintained hair, needing to take an inch off and get things cleaned up. My most recent stylist who I’ve worked with since growing my hair out three years ago moved away so I decided to take a leap of faith and roll the dice for a trim today and I’m so happy I did. Lulu was cautious and calculated in her execution and I really appreciated her precision and attention to detail. Her cut was very surgical but also more artsy and free-flowing than most people who would approach a cut on a man with longer hair. I’ll definitely be back and thanks again to Lulu and Bishops for a great cut and all around solid experience. ✌🏼

I got a long haircut from Lulu and she was super rude since I stepped in. This is the worst service I have received in my life. Claiming she has 16 yrs of experience but didn’t have even a bit of patience to understand what the customer is asking for. She was just not letting me say anything and was showing attitude that she is the assistant manager and has a lot of experience. Never seen such hostility at Bishops before. Lulu doesn’t know customer service at all. They have a policy of wait window of 15 min and I reached there within that time window, but don’t know how can someone be so rude.

Let me tell yall. Monica did the damn thing with the 7 pieces of hair I had on my head. It was down to my waist and boring as all get out. I told her my vision and that's exactly what she gave me. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in 3 years and she brought it back to life. It bounces and flows in the wind now. If you listen to any review, listen to mine and go see Monica. She made my 70s hair dream come true. I will never go to anyone else.

Needed a fresh look for a work event and waited until Sunday when lots of salons are closed. Thankfully Bishops was open AND offers brow waxing. This was my first visit and I had to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time, but the stylist informed me right away so I knew what to expect which I really appreciated. I showed Cole a few pics and then just trusted the process. Several inches were cut off and honestly, I felt the finished cut was a full inch or more too short for my preference. HOWEVER, that was just the shock of the difference and getting a more modern, fresh cut that I wasn’t used to. Cole did an amazing job and I got many compliments during the work event. Thank you so much for the confidence boost and I’ll be back!

I love this place! I went for the first time yesterday for a color correction and was blessed to meet Ren. Ren is a color magician and is the absolute sweetest. She has over 13 years of color experience and transformed my dull hair. I also really enjoyed meeting Jessie who did my wash and is an expert in vivids. This salon is affordable and worth supporting!

This is a salon where Stylists start their careers. I went here to get a trim, an inch off. She took off 3 to 4, and it was uneven. I tried to be a good sport. I went back and got it cut by, supposedly, their manager and most experienced Stylist. It is still uneven, and the layers are poorly blended. I learned my lesson. If you pay SuperCut prices, you’re gonna get a supercut hair. 2 stars because they tried and were very nice.

Lydia does a great job and is so sweet! I drive a pretty far distance just to come here lol but you know how it is when you find an awesome stylist. I have very long hair and needed a change-up with fresh layers and curtain bangs with face framing -- super happy with it!

Lydia is fantastic! I've gone to her 4 or 5 times now for a long cut. I'm not great at verbalizing what I want and she still gets it right every time. She is patient, kind, and has clearly honed her craft. She never tries to upsell me or pressure me into anything I'm not interested in. She books quickly for a reason.

Received a bad coloring unfortunately by Adrianna, but was appreciative that I will receive a refund and the owner reached out to amend the situation. Based on her sincerity I felt it necessary to update my review from 1 star to 4, for good customer service.

So i accidentally messed up my hair cutting it myself. I went to Bishops for the first time and Adrianna cut my hair and fixed my bob. She’s a Queen. She did tremendous work. I thought I was a lost cause. Thank God for her. Before & after pictures

We recently started visiting this location, and I am impressed. Their staff is SUPER friendly, easy to work with, and incredibly talented. Jessie has been giving me great cuts, but also did color for me a couple of weeks ago...I have never received this many compliments on my cut, color, and style as I have from her work. I can't even begin to express how happy I am to have found them.

Went in to get fade but the cut was not as good as I expected. The blending was not done correctly. Disappointed.
