I went and got a haircut today and the whole experience was bad enough I had to write this review. I provided a reference photo which did not match what I ended up with. The sides and back weren’t faded so it looked like I had a high and tight and there were pieces that were missed entirely by the clipper. It looked like I had one level of fade and then a complete other with no taper. I went to talk to them about the issue after the fact and 1) they could not see the difference between the inspo photo and what I got. 2) they didn’t even acknowledge that my hair wasn’t faded or that I had longer pieces then others. “I’m sorry you didn’t like your haircut” was the response. I asked for a refund and I have learned that Bishops does not allow refunds. I was offered to have it fixed by another person but how are you going to fix my hair when you already went too short? No accountability on their part. I can overlook the haircut not matching the inspo photo but there was no acknowledgment they provided a bad haircut to begin with. For the prices they charge, they should at least acknowledge if a hair cut was sub par. Will not be going to them in the future.

They are very easily the best place to get your hair cut in the area. I also like that they are friendly and talkative but not overly so. I come for a haircut not to be interrogated. Can’t beat this place, this location in particular.

(part 2 continued from the last part from review above abt stylist letting bleach get to my jacket) they only reimbursed me for half of the price of the jacket that they fully ruined that I can’t even wear anymore. I tried contacting other stores trying to find corporate or somebody higher that I can talk to about this-somebody that can understand where I’m coming from because not even the owner could understand which is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. all I wanted was them to fully take responsibility and fully pay me through the amount of my jacket I don’t know why it was like pulling teeth just to get them to reimburse me. they still owe me $45 but wanted me to get another appointment with them to get that $45 which I’m not gonna waste my money on another hairstyle that I won’t even be satisfied with again- so I went to another salon that completely fix my hair within one hour and completely 100% satisfied me. The stylist at the new salon i went to couldn’t believe my situation and was just as shocked as I was-even more actually because they are stylists as well and thats something that would never happen with them- and if it were to happen with them they said they would’ve 100% fully reimbursed the customer no problem. just like any other professional business/company should.

Loved this place! This was my first time at Bishops for a short hair cut. My appointment was on time, quick, friendly, professional, welcoming and, best of all, exactly the cut I wanted. Heather was the best! I will be back. Update! After my second visit to this salon, the wheels came off. My third visit, I arrived for my appointment and was told my scheduled stylist wasn't there, and that another stylist was going to do my hair that day. I was already there, so I went with it, but didn't appreciate not getting any heads up until I arrived. What was I going to do? Leave while my assigned stylist was standing right in front of me? Not professional at all. Then, my fourth appointment, also scheduled with Heather merited a phone call, letting me know she was "no longer" with the salon and recommended another stylist. I rescheduled and got the haircut from my, now, third different stylist in four visits. So I made another appointment with my now third stylist. Sunday night, I get a text letting me know my stylist is "out of the country" and that I need to reschedule. I passed. Five appointments, three stylists and a total disregard for my time was too much for even me, a pretty low-key, chill customer. The stylists at Bishops deserve way better front-end management of their services. And their customers deserve way better attention to our time. I am opting to go, instead, to, literally, any Great Clips, because if I don't get to go to the same stylist each time, I would rather save a lot of my money for that compromise. Bishops kind of sucks as a service provider.

do not get Hair services with this company⚠️ I went in to get my hair colored maybe a month or two ago I was paired with a nice stylist but for some reason they paired me with a stylist that specializes in cutting hair. I went from a Bleached blonde to getting highlights which I really liked the first round that she gave me. but she knew I wanted to go more white on the blonde, so she had me come in two weeks later and said if I wanted to go more blonde we had to do a bleach wash which we did but it didn’t come out the right color. I could tell my stylist panicked a bit and was asking the other stylist around what to do-after she got her answers she thought it would be a good idea to give me the complete wrong toner that turned my dark brown root color to an orange color. i was completely unhappy with it and my stylist knew that too. she also cut my hair way too short and made it completely uneven. (even the second stylist I went to from Bishops saw it and fixed it for me because she saw how bad it was.) mind you that same day after spending $200 on a hairstyle that I wasn’t even satisfied with- I went to go in grab the jacket that I was wearing earlier at the appointment and when I picked it up I noticed it was soaking wet. then I looked and saw bleach all over the hood of my jacket and the backside of my jacket with bleach smudges… I was covered during my whole appointment but I guess my stylist forgot to tuck in my hoodie into the cover while washing my hair in the bowl, and that’s how it got bleach all over. But how am I supposed to tell or know that my hood of the jacket isn’t tucked in all the way?? my stylist can see above and behind my head-I can’t. she obviously had the responsibility of making sure my hood was tucked in to my cover. also I was wearing a $100 Aritzia jacket -it was a fleece jacket so clearly I was wearing it because I was cold during my appointment and was wearing a sports bra under-I also have been to a numerous amount of salons in the past 10 years and have always been able to wear whatever I want because I know that I was being covered during the appointment. that’s why I’ve never had any other bleach issue like this. so clearly that was my stylists responsibility and the front desk receptionist has the audacity to say “well you should’ve hung up your jacket before the appointment” clearly trying to blame me and make it seem like it was my fault when it 100% wasn’t. then they go well we can only offer you 10% off your next appointment which was insane for somebody who already spent $200 on a hairstyle that she was not satisfied with and then got her favorite $100 jacket completely ruined on top of that… and they still offered 10% off which is nothing compared to my situation. then I told them that wasn’t fair basically and they said they would give me a gift card towards my purchase and that they could fix my hair by another stylist. so I go in for an appointment and I get handed an Aritzia gift card and then my stylist tells me my hair isn’t ready for color but she puts a treatment in my hair which I agreed to and was fine with but then they still had the audacity to charge me $84 just for that, even though they told me they would fix my hair. and then I go home and I look at my balance of the card and it’s only $50 out of $95 of the jacket that they owed me. so there was a $45 remaining balance that they still owed me and they still owe me to this day. so I called back and asked about it and said can you please see my side of this I don’t understand why I keep having to go back-and-forth with you guys like this. and the receptionist has the audacity to say “ well I see both sides“ in my head I instantly go both sides?? like what side do they have in this situation?? there’s no side that can help them take full responsibility in ruining my jacket. I don’t understand why they can’t just step up and take full accountability and responsibility for one of their stylist ruining my jacket. I think any other business would take the responsibility for that. (part 2 is continued below)

I was in dire need of a bang trim. I was to be in a wedding the following day and my regular girl from another area bailed on me. I called Bishops and they had me in within 15 min and did a wonderful job. Everyone was fantastic and so accommodating, and the cut was perfection. Thank you!

If I could 0 , I will. The worse experience I ever had . I called at least a week ago to do Updo style for me , I specifically asked the guy that if they had that kind of service and he said yes. Few days before appointment they asked to send the pictures of the updo style and they said will send it to stylist. On the day of my appointment a young unprofessional girl tried for 90 minutes and she didn’t even get close to the simple up do . I asked her to do something quick as I was in hurry. She did very bad style I don’t even what to call it. And worse than that o had to pay almost $100 for nothing. They even ask for tip!!!!!!! Don’t go to this place at all !!!!!!! . Waste time and money for sure

I had very positive experience with this salon two years ago with Cassie. But not this time, the concern is the stylist's skill level and competence, also compliant about her attitude. My daughter came out a $267 service with undried messy hair, poorly done if you could even call it a balayage, quality was unacceptable. We came back requesting a repair, the manager offered repair work with the charge of the toner. Most staff are friendly with a couple of unkind exceptions. I'd say the risk is always whether you choose the right stylist who is capable of the service. I understand the learning curve for anyone new to the business, but we unfortunately was the victim of a failed training session.

Over $40 for 5 minutes of work and not even what I asked for. I genuinely don't know how you mess up a simple high and tight. Bre even used the wrong guard number on the sides. I really hope this place goes out of business soon so a respectable shop can take its place.

The Hair Artist that I had today, August 13, 2024 at Bishops Raleigh Hills was absolutely AWESOME. Would highly recommend Elisha. I "only" got a buzz. These cuts are short and sweet and don't take too much time. Even though it was an easy cut, Elisha took her time and made sure everything was perfect. There have been times where I've gone to the barber and while I got my hair cut could hear the grass grow because the hair cutter was oh so quiet and anti-social. Elisha was far from. We had pleasant conversations and made me feel at ease while she performed her "magic" on my hair. I WILL be back to see her! Do highly recommend her to anyone whom needs someone who CARES while cutting your hair. Matt C.

I feel bad leaving a negative review. The stylist was great, the shop is great. The haircut was great. By all means, get your hair cut here! But, Bishops needs to cut out the communication spam. I get two different spam texts and spam email after using their online form to schedule. Very annoying. Please dial it back and make it opt-in. Bishops, you're hurting your individual stores' business with this tactic--I am much less likely to schedule now being adverse to this annoyance.

I have been coming to this shop for years and of the many dozens of cuts I’ve received, honestly only one experience with a cut I didn’t like. And I’ll quickly mention they were so fast to step in and make it right, and I was so appreciative. The staff is always incredibly friendly regardless of who you are interacting with. I want to take a moment, though, and shout out Nick who provided my services yesterday. I went in for a trim (I’m working on growing out some damaged hair - to be clear it’s all damage I did to my hair lol). Not only was Nick’s cut more than what I asked for (in a way that made my hair look even better than what I was imagining) but when I brought up my plans for covering that last bit of blue/green hue that had a death hold on my bleached ends his suggestion on a color was perfection. I ended up adding the service on and am SO happy I did. I love how the color he mixed turned out. I will tell you it’s far better than what I would have done at home! I’m an on and off again at home hair DIYer for decades. I do wish I took a before and that the after showed just how beautiful the color is but all that really matters is how happy I am with it. Nick is a damned gem!

I went in for a standard haircut - 2 inches off, long layers, and curtain bangs. After completing my deep conditioning treatment, which was great, the stylist started cutting my hair without asking many questions. I tried to work my hair inspirations into our conversation, but she seemed disinterested and quickly shifted back to talking about her personal life. When she finished, I was shocked. My long layers were gone, replaced with a singular a-line layer starting above my ear and hanging heavy around my face. The curtain bangs I had asked for were just two choppy clumps of hair that sat right below my eyebrow, and instead of the 2-inches off like I requested, she CHOPPED closer to 4. I immediately let her know my concerns, and she begrudgingly agreed to make some changes. Even after she made some adjustments, I was still unhappy with the results. Afterward, I contacted the salon and spoke with a receptionist, hoping to schedule a consultation with a manager to make the necessary corrections. After waiting for three weeks, I still haven't heard anything from them. Overall, I would not recommend this Bishops location. The stylist didn't listen to my requests. The final result was far from what I wanted, and my concerns were not acknowledged or addressed in any capacity. It was a disappointing experience that left me feeling defeated and unhappy.

My appointment was cancelled via two text messages and a phone call two hours before the appointment. After the appointment was scheduled, I received two emails confirming - only one was necessary. Although Bishops is using technology, they don't seem to be using it very well as evidenced by the unnecessary duplication and that this is in response to an email requesting that I rate my hair cut - that never happened. As for the cancellation the day of the appointment, yes, people do get sick, but after previously being in the chair and listening to the stylists discuss the party the night before and that's why so and so isn't there . . . I'm looking for a hair stylist with maturity and skill.

We found our place, Chops is by far the best barber, stylist in the PNW. You can give him a description and he brings it to life. I brought my nephews in for haircuts, both having the most anxiety I have ever seen, but learning in the past they would leave other places in tears with the cut that was given. After chops was done they both boys smiling ear to ear. My son of course always happy with his cut’s Chops gives. This barber has the art of hair mastered. He listens to what they say, and nails it every time. Thank you for your amazing talent. Scheduling is always easy, we’ve always been able to schedule next day appointments with him.
