Bishops Haircuts and Hair Color

Starting off by saying I love Bishops and have gone there for years. This is my first time going to the Multnomah Village location and I was pretty disappointed by the service and haircut. My barber didn’t talk to me throughout the session at all, we briefly spoke in the beginning after I shared a reference pic, and they did not talk with me throughout the entire haircut or show me what they were doing. I often felt pinching on the back of my neck and the scissors slipping from their hands. They didn’t acknowledge any of the times they nipped me with scissors or the clippers, and the whole experience made me uncomfortable. I wanted to get more done, but figured it would be the most painless to just get through the haircut and go to my usual Bishops location. Wouldn’t suggest this location.

Went to a hairstylist at Bishops on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. I didn’t catch her name. She was young mid 20s or early early 30s. She had an attitude from the second I sat in the chair was very disrespectful and rude. I tried to play it off and remain nice thinking maybe she was just having a hard day. As I continued to be pleasant, she continued with more attitude and escalating to insulting my hair. Finally I said that’s it and got up out of the chair And told the front desk I would never return.

Our go to for hair services in the Multnomah village area. Everyone in the household goes here and we are never disappointed. The professionals are all very skilled and helpful, it is quite the welcoming establishment, fairly priced services, and efficiently run (quick service, with plenty of scheduling availability). A cut above the rest.

Bishops did a nice job trimming my hair and didn’t overcharge me. It was easy to book an appointment and the service was quick and efficient.

Stylist was very professional in asking for input on what I wanted my haircut to look like. I was given several opportunities to look at myself during the process and ask questions. Products were used in the styling process after being asked. It felt very good to receive such considerate care. I washed my hair at home and it looks great with or without products.

Christian cut my son's hair this last week (for the second time) and we had such a great experience. He was able to fix a previous bad haircut and my son left feeling confident about himself. Thank you Christian! We will be back.

Everything seemed good, but why rush if there is no good skill or good lighting in your workplace. Or I don’t understand how you can explain a simple task being poorly performed. very upset that you have to sign up for the appointment, then pay and then still finish the haircut at home

I think i found my new hairstylist with Christian! I have thinning hair which a lot of barbers I have been to seem to struggle with, but they seemed to know exactly what to do with shaping and gave me a great cut. Also a great conversation

I was running a few minutes late to my appointment so I called ahead of time to give a heads up. I use public transport which isn’t always on time. The guy at the front desk said if I wasn’t more than 10 minutes late I didn’t need to call. I showed up 10 minutes past my appointment start time. The guy at the front desk said the person scheduled after my appointment time had already showed so they cancelled my appointment and gave it to her. They offered to reschedule me 3 hours past my original appointment. The guy had a really unfortunate and unnecessary attitude about all of it. I understand their time is valuable, truly, but stuff happens and I communicated best I could. Won’t go here again.

I’m shocked to see some of the bad reviews here, as both times I’ve received excellent barber cuts and great conversation. Last time I went in, I tried a new hair style that I’ve never gone with before and Izzy executed perfectly and her confidence made me know I was in good hands. I’ll be going to her from now on!

My husband and son both got haircuts here last week and they are horrible. Thank goodness my son is too young to know that he has a bowl cut, that looks like it was done with a flo-bee. I get that toddlers are difficult to keep still for haircuts, but if you can't do it, don't do it. And what's worse, is that it cost them $100 for both of them and then the kid at the front desk literally asked for a tip. Tipping is not required and the amount of the tip should be based on the quality of the service. Customers should not be bullied into paying extra on top of what they've already paid when they should actually be getting a refund. Don't get your hair cut here unless you want to feel bad about yourself.

Sav at Bishop's Haircuts cut my hair. My first favorite thing about her was how carefully she listened and then followed my wishes. Secondly, she knows what she's doing and gave me some good hair tips. Third, she's easy to be with and I enjoyed her company. Last, I like how my haircut turned out and I'll be back!

Wife tiring of one year's untrimmed hair growth = a visit to the barber shop. Yes, it appeared that the current "style" was reminicent of the aftermath from extracting a table knife stuck in a wall outlet. There were certain expectations voiced by my bride, which were, in turn, communicated to Izzy. The result was all that we hoped for. Well worth the time and money for this haircut.

If you're looking for any kind of coloring services, then I would highly recommend going to this salon and seeing Aurora specifically. She does amazing work, and really the only person I trust to touch my hair.

Sav was great. They understood what I was looking for in a haircut and gave solid recommendations on length and cutting tools used. (Razor instead of scissors). Everyone I’ve seen has RAVED about my haircut.

Was lucky to get a haircut from Sav. Just had the best haircut I’ve ever had. She also gave me suggestions on how to deal with the cowlicks in my hair. Plan on going back on regular basis now.

Went to get a long haircut and wash today with Aurora. Stylist was 10 minutes late to start the appointment and rushed through most of the haircut. Didn’t even ask about washing my hair and kept combing my eyebrow piercing and ears. She didn’t even comb out to check that everything was even. I left fairly satisfied with the haircut, but when I got home and combed it out I realized a lot of it was uneven and I had to chop off a lot more to even it out on both sides. Never coming back here and wouldn’t recommend.

Sav was great / cut my long hair exactly as I wanted even though I couldn’t describe it well (I’m new to long hair). Will definitely return!
