After going to Emalee, the owner several times and having very good results, I had a horrible final experience. My hair ended up super dark. After her apologizing profusely and trying to lighten two different times, she charged me a total of $400 plus dollars. When I texted and asked for a refund for the last visit since going dark was never my intent, she refunded me my last visits (about $160). Nothing horrible was said, no drama, I simply said I didn’t feel like I should have to pay to have it lightened since she dyed my super blonde hair chocolate brown and I looked like a striped zebra . She refunded me and that was that, but she then sent me a text firing me as a client, blocked me on the salons Facebook page, even after I gave several recommendations, and blocked me from booking with any other stylist (fine by me). She then blocked my daughter who had nothing to do with ANY of it… blocked her as a salon follower on insta and Facebook and blocked my daughter from being able to book with ANY stylist… I’m so confused by this hostile behavior as a result of asking for one of my three paid visits to be refunded. I told her I had nothing but good things to say about her in our text,….. until this. This is petty and childish behavior. As a salon owner and a business, you should be ashamed of your poor behavior. Thank you for the refund… sorry your pride was so hurt by your mistake that you took it out on your customers. Best advice: Grow up Emalee.

I go to Black Forest Salon because of Valorie Jones. Its obvious she takes pride in her work! I feel listened to and always leave the salon feeling really good about how my hair looks!

I have Valorie Jones as my hairdresser for the past 3 years and she is absolutely fantastic! My kids also only allow her to touch their hair 😆 She is not just very talented but also always kind and accommodating with my crazy schedule! Thanks Valorie for making me pretty! 💛

I have been seeing Valorie for 4 years to get my balayage’s done. She has done an amazing job every time and takes her time, which I love! She is also very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy coming when it’s time to get my hair done! So glad I found her 😊

Ashley was a lifesaver, being able to do my makeup for my wedding down to the last minute. She met me at the salon before regular hours, and I left almost exactly at the time I needed to. The makeup was gorgeous, photographed super well, and lasted the entire day outdoors in 80+ degree weather. Not to mention her color-matching for the foundation was on point, which is something I struggle with a lot. All in all I was incredibly impressed with her work and will definitely be booking with her again if I need my makeup done for an event.

Came in for Sarah to Cut and Die my hair I showed her exactly what I wanted and it came out better than the photo that I showed her. She was so caring and kind and made me feel comfortable about what I was about to do to my hair.

I was looking for a stylist close to the Falcon / Peyton area, and we thought we’d give this salon a try. It was a GREAT experience! I went by myself first for a haircut, and the salon was easy to find with plenty of parking. Inside was clean and well-lit with a small waiting area and a larger space with multiple chairs. Sarah cut my hair and she was wonderful!! She asked what cut and style I wanted and really listened to me without interrupting. Not only did she give me exactly what I asked for, she was friendly and completely put me at ease. I enjoyed the experience so much, I brought my 12-year old daughter for a haircut next, and Sarah treated her with the same respect and friendliness. Sarah gave her a great haircut, too, and even dyed her tips pink for her birthday. My daughter loved it all and left chatting about “Ms. Sarah” this and that. We will definitely be coming back!!

I went in for a haircut that Sarah gave me and was one of the best haircuts i’ve ever gotten. I really appreciate the respect and kindness everyone at the salon has and of course that cute dog that’s always looking for attention.

Sarah is amazing! She worked magic fixing my daughter’s hair after she decided to cut her own bangs. When I get my hair highlighted, she makes me feel beautiful. I absolutely love her, she’s definitely my go to girl!!!

Sarah is literally amazing! I moved back two years ago and had not found anyone I liked consistently. I am so thankful to have found Sarah, I had so much confidence leaving my appointment and I actually loved how my hair looked for the first time in a LONG time. It's an added bonus that her prices are phenomenal. I have referred multiple people since and they have all been pleased as well! If you're on the fence, just do it!!!

Love Black Forest Salon! The place is so warm & welcoming, not to mention great prices! Sarah is such a sweetheart, she’s so personable & made me feel like family getting my hair done & taking about our golden retriever (kids) I had a major clean up: roots done, highlights & lowlights, wash haircut & style. My hair was soft & looked amazing! She made me feel beautiful 🥰. I also appreciated Black Forest Salon & Sarah allowing me to bring my golden retriever puppy with me. I was nervous to leave him home alone. They accommodated me, even Sarah watched him as she did my hair so I could get my hair done & not worry. Everyone at the salon gave Yeti love! I saw Madison for a pedicure at the end of March 2024 and then Ashley for a full leg wax and facial in May 2024. I was pleased with the services from both ladies. They were both very professional, friendly and I enjoyed my time there. I will definitely be returning.
