My 15 year old was very excited about getting her Balayage right before our holiday party, initially the color did not come out as expected, but Brittany had her come back at the end of her shift and took care of it. It came out perfect. My daughter was so happy. We highly recommend this salon.

I saw Draco for the first time yesterday and he gave me a fantastic curl cut! He was incredibly kind, listened, and even though I wasn’t positive what I wanted, he was intuitive about what kind of cut would let my very shy curls come through. My hair has never circled so well without applying heat! The overall experience was enjoyable and peaceful, and the shop is cute. I’ll be back!

Went here after seeing the good reviews and they exceeded my expectations! Had a great experience overall and Frannie did an incredible job on my long haircut/styling. She delivered exactly what I asked for and she was great to chat with throughout the appointment. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a new go-to salon in Austin.

Go here! I love this place. The environment is nice, the customer service is great, the prices are reasonable and I always leave happy. Vanessa has done my hair several times and not only does she listen to what you want, she’s a genuine person and she’s a joy to talk to. I just got the most adorable cut done by her. Happy! I was turning 40, had a big weekend planned, and wanted a cute, fresh shoulder length haircut. Note: My hair is curly. Maggie gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. She sat me down, asked what I wanted and listened. She gave lots of feedback on how to care for my hair too. I’m so happy I found this place! ❤️

I went to Black Orchid Salon a month ago to get a Keratin treatment. I had always had Brazilian Blowouts before but they are hard to find these days and my last one did not last very long. Bailey did my treatment and she was exceptional!! I love love love my hair. One month later and the treatment is still good - frizz-free, straight hair. Thank you, Bailey. I will be back in a few months for another treatment.

Love love love getting my hair done here!! My stylist Miranda is the absolute best, I love every haircut I get from her. She is so specific and precise when asking what you are looking for and the length that you want cut and always double checks with me before making the cut. I live in canada now for school but still only get my hair done from her when I am back in austin on breaks!! - Today I had my blunt strait long hair cut to trim off dead ends and added face frames and some layers.

Wonderful front reception, ease of service, convenient communication for appointments, location, parking is easy, & a gorgeous atmosphere to boot! I’ve been loyal to Brittany (Aveda experienced, professional but warm, & has newly joined the team) for years!! and have not yet had the opportunity to experience any other stylists’ services but I’m sure I will in the future. Check it out! And bask in the lovely lighting & mirrorland. Oh, bonus! - they sell Kevin Murphy products.

Great first time experience at Black Orchid with Sarah! Sarah listened very intently and addressed all my trouble areas. One of the many things that impressed me was when I mentioned random areas of my hair that had damage apart from the rest. Sarah mentioned she could use a technique, circus cutting, to address the issue. For years I've mentioned this problem during hair consultations with other stylists and Sarah is the first to take action. When it comes to walking the walk she's the one! Can't wait to return to this beautiful salon!

Recently went to bc another men’s salon and had my chest length hair cut into a gentleman’s mid length cut that was done horribly. I went to Vanessa and not only bc did she fix it she made it better than I thought. If you find yourself as anxious C as I do regarding haircuts and especially transformations…let Vanessa put you at peace. Highest recommendation. Thank you, Vanessa!
