I have had my hair done 5 times with Blando. Her set up is professional! Very clean and comfortable. Her customer service is ALWAYS so exceptional. I am so grateful with her patience and expertise. I always get great compliments on my locs or braids. She even helps me with tips on how to take down to prevent damage and hair loss. Love it!

‼️FIRST TIME CLIENT: Here’s my experience as her first and probably last time client. So I booked her for a braided bun with my natural hair (cornrows). She told me the price beforehand. I get there she says she thought I meant something else I say no I told you I wanted cornrows with my natural hair in a bun. She $10 shy of triples the price on me. In an attempt to not argue I say okay. I show her the style I want. And I ask her twice if she’s able to do it because I know not everyone is good at zig zag cornrows. She says yes. Mid way through my hair I ask her are you sure you’re doing zig zag because this doesn’t feel like what I asked for (I can tell by how she’s parting it). Lo and behold in the end it wasn’t what I wanted. I tell her this isn’t zig zag and you know it. It’s neat but not what I asked for. She tries to have an attitude with me because I point out the truth. I avoid arguing and tell her it’s cool I know she’s rushing to go to wherever she was headed to so she doesn’t really care. I pay her the full price she asked for. I honestly wanted to see how she would handle an unsatisfied client. Unfortunately but not surprisingly, I was very disappointed but that’s most human beings for you. Most people only care about money. She knows she didn’t deliver on what I wanted and I was a first time client leaving disappointed and she didn’t care nor did she at least acknowledge it and apologize. If she at least apologized, I would’ve been okay and booked her again because her work and space is neat. However if you’re big on energy and character I would be weary and wouldn’t recommend despite her skills because you’re allowing someone with her energy to touch your crown. If you know you know. In my opinion she’s not a person of high character based on how she handled the situation. It spoke volumes of the kind of person she is. It pays in the long run to be a decent human being who can take accountability and apologize when they’re wrong. If she has an ounce of integrity she will respond to this review and attempt in whatever way to fix the situation. Otherwise she’ll gaslight or at best ignore this review. She had astonishing reviews which led me to book so I felt compelled to pay it forward to a new client looking to book. If you just wanna be cute at any cost and have the energy to go back and forth with her she is probably the stylist for you. BUT if you’re a spiritual person you’d heed my warning and look elsewhere. If you decide to go you will feel what I’m saying when you get there. If you’re big on character, energy or who you allow to touch your hair you’ll listen to me. I’m writing this for the girl who is quiet and non confrontational who just wants a good experience when they go to get their hair done. This isn’t the place. Good luck. Update: Upon her response I have decided to add photos which I wasn’t going to do before. I never disrespected you. I kindly asked you to use grease instead of braiding gel because it causes my scalp to itch. From the photos anyone with eyes can see it’s not even close to zig zag. You gave me a completely different style. Which I said earlier and I will gladly say again to you and anyone who asks me. Her work is neat. Her space is neat. I even complimented her space and the other client’s hair when I walked in. My appointment was booked over the phone the day before. Yes I appreciate you squeezing me in the same day, I even thanked you for that when I arrived. At the time, your consideration was greatly appreciated. Which is why even though I wasn’t satisfied with my hair style I paid you in full. Like I knew you would, your response was pure deflection and indicative of your character. Interestingly, you never addressed or denied my claims because you simply cannot. Instead you chose to talk about me enjoying music and waiting inside for my ride. What does that have to do with my hairstyle being wrong? Your work is neat. Never did or will deny that. It’s your customer service and personal integrity I have an issue with. A simple apology would have fixed the issue.

I’ve been going to her for about 2-ish years now and I plan on sticking with her even after we move. She’s always giving me the exact style that I want and is always considerate of my time (booking is also straightforward and easy which is a major plus). If you haven’t booked you need to!

She genuinely cares about maintaining healthy hair and will advise on styles to prevent breakage and damage. She is a doll! Very professional I’ve already been to her about 5 times. She does excellent work, works very sufficiently and fast but does an awesome job on your hairstyle. My experience with her wasn’t bad. I went twice. My first visit was for faux locs and my second one was for a touch up on the locs. She was kind and made my hair look great. I even referred her to a friend who also got her hair done. The reason for my lower star rating is because of the aftermath and damage that the faux locs caused to my natural hair. The locs were so tight that I ended up losing some of my edges and a whole piece of my hair came out when I took it down. It took 6.5 hours for a friend of mine and myself to take down and tangled my hair badly. The method she uses is overly secure and there’s something she uses that creates a hard knot in each loc. She also didn’t wrap each individual loc in the same direction, so that in itself was a hassle to get undone and delayed the process. I’m not sure if the opposite wrapping was because she was on the phone. I recommend anyone to schedule her to take their hair down if you get her faux locs. I ended up having to cut several inches of my natural hair after taking the style down to nurse it back to health. It’s one thing to look cute in these styles, but we must remember that at some point we have to go back to our natural hair, and protective styles are supposed to “protect.” I would recommend booking her for a style that doesn’t involve wrapping or pulling so tightly around your edges. However, if you don’t care about the health of your God-given hair, then she’s your go-to.
