Helen is the best I've found for blending gray hair! She uses lowlights to transform my silver-white hair into a beautiful, natural, and dimensional blond. I've been to several stylists in San Francisco over the past five years, and they were never able to give me what I want, so I'm glad I found Helen!

I have used Helen Lee for years ! Started with her in New York City and now using her in SF . I have never had anyone understand exactly what I needed , the way she does . My highlights are perfection and the cut gives the layers I’ve coveted forever . She is a true technician!! If I didn’t LIVE here I’d travel here to have her do my hair . She’s fabulous . Thank heavens John opened up Bliss Organic Salon in the Richmond. My favorite salon ever. John's the absolute best: not only is he a consummate hairstyling professional (he is excellent at color, cut and style), he's far and away one of the kindest people I've ever met. The salon looks and smells like a fancy spa, and the energy is open, positive and genuinely welcoming. He's also the most organized salon owner -easy to book and communicate with. Wish I give a 10 star rating!

SAVED MY HAIR!! John had the best energy, super chill and fun to talk to. He worked his magic on my hair as my hair was very thick and dry. Barely any hair dressers can do my hair so it shows he has a lot of talent working with many hair types. Thank you so much!! 🖤 100% recommend

John cut my middle schooler’s hair and gave her blue highlights. She LOVES it! He was so kind and chatted with her throughout, and made her feel comfortable. His new salon is very close to Presidio Middle School and Washington HS, so it’s a great place for after school haircuts! (Before & after pics included!)

Cozy little salon using organic products that smell absolutely amazing. John is a warm and funny guy, I’m generally reserved meeting new people but I almost immediately felt at ease and ended up having a great conversation for just over an hour! My curly hair turned out light and bouncy and I love it, was pleased with how John took a couple glances at some reference photos I had and brought my weighed down hair back to life. Will be back, thank you John!

I have the best experience that I could have revitalizing my natural curls John not only made me feel welcome with his service but the results are absolutely stunning the environment is beautiful and clean he is so professional and talented he uses the best organic and vegan products (everything smells delicious) he did some highlights and I got to be honest I was a bit nervous because I know how aggressive the procedure can be on your hair but when uses the best products and techniques your hair gets even more beautiful and alive. I highly recommend him if you are considering on treating your self with the best knowledge and professional colorist and hair designer. I am so happy and need it to share my results and experience.

I just got a great haircut recently. I have naturally curly hair and haircuts can be stressful. I hadn’t gotten a cut in about 6months, so I had an awkward cut, split ends, and dry hair. The cut I got is so cute. John gave me layers, gave me some hydration treatment, and was a delight the whole time!I literally left for vacation the same day of the cut and my curls are so bouncy and happy, making me feel confident (and cute for pictures). Price is so reasonable for the city.

John is not only an amazing hair stylist and artist, he is an amazing person! He made me feel welcomed and comfortable--being my first time in his salon. He is very sweet and fun to talk to! I went in to tone my brassy hair and a trim to liven up my curls, and it turned out just the way I wanted. I went from brassy orange to a cool, caramel blonde/brown. He even took the time to show me how color glossing & dying works to take away unwanted brassy tones. My curls are so bouncy and alive now! I left with happy vibes because of my new hair and because of the positive energy that John provided. I highly recommend him for color, cut and an overall amazing experience!

He’s always honest about what he thinks would work and what wouldn’t on my hair and every time I just trust him (which I would never do with anyone else) and every time I just LOVE the results! I found John as a result of searching for organic salons in SF, of which there are surprisingly very few, and I never need another stylist again!! His salon is lovely, I just immediately perk up when I walk in, his energy is so light and positive and fun, and he gives me literally the best haircuts I’ve ever had. He always improves on my own idea and knows exactly what I’m talking about, except better. I just looooove him. 💕

John is a perm pro! It’s hard to find someone who is so comfortable with doing spiral perms, and it seemed second nature to him. The salon is beautiful and I had such a nice time chatting. And I’m crazy about my new do! Will definitely be going back.
