I recently visited Blo Dry Bar on August 28, 2024, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I arrived at 7:50 AM for my 8:00 AM appointment, hoping to be seen a bit early, but I was perfectly fine waiting until my scheduled time. Upon arrival, I informed the receptionist that I needed to leave by 8:45 AM due to work obligations, as my appointment was scheduled to last 45 minutes. The receptionist informed me that my hairstylist had not yet arrived and was running late. She kindly offered me a glass of orange juice and started washing my hair at 7:58 AM while I waited for the stylist. Unfortunately, the sink used for washing my hair was clogged, and I had to be moved to another sink. Although this caused a slight delay, I remained patient. By 8:15 AM, the hairstylist had still not arrived, and when I inquired about her whereabouts, the receptionist could not provide an estimated time of arrival. At 8:22 AM, the stylist finally arrived, and I was seated to have my hair blow-dried. Due to the delay, I politely requested that my hair just be dried without additional styling, as I was concerned about the time. However, the stylist seemed annoyed by my request and insisted she had enough time to style my hair. I reiterated my time constraints, only to be told that I was being rude for limiting her time. Despite the stylist’s late arrival, which significantly cut into my appointment time, she and another stylist began speaking about me in Spanish, unaware that I understood what they were saying. When I calmly addressed this, they reacted by yelling and clapping their hands at me, demanding that I leave the salon. Shocked by their unprofessional behavior, I approached the receptionist, who apologized but seemed unable to control the situation. Eventually, the stylists calmed down, and the hairstylist resumed drying my hair. However, she continued to berate me, insisting that my appointment time was not my concern and that I was at fault. Feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, I decided to leave the salon. As I was leaving, the stylist yelled at me to return her hair clip, which I had not even realized was still in my hair. I returned the clip and left without receiving the service I had paid for. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and I left feeling disrespected and humiliated. I understand that delays can happen, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism and respectful customer service.

Service here was ok. My hair dresser wasn’t that friendly. I didn’t fully come prepared with what I wanted for my blowout so that might’ve bothered her but this was only my second time getting one and didn’t really remember the process. I booked this place through classpass and hadn’t been here before so I was nervous, but I just did not feel welcomed when I came. My hair looked good in the end but my hairdresser did burn my scalp multiple times while blow drying, which I thought might be normal but idk. I went to another location a couple months after and they were able to do it without burning me. I also paid extra through classpass for a head massage with my blowout and did not receive it 😔 I had a great experience at the preston and forest location!

Please reconsider getting your makeup done here! I had my makeup done for a ceremony, and initially, it seemed fine in the salon setting. Since I rarely get my makeup done professionally, I was initially satisfied with the subpar service for the price. However, once I stepped outside and had professional photos taken, it became clear that the application was uneven and the shades did not match my skin tone. For graduation, I ended up doing the make-up myself and turned out WAY better than paying for the service here. Pay the money to have a make-up artist to do your make-up for important events.
