Got my hair done here today by Cammi. I’ve been getting my hair died blonde after it naturally blonde, turned brunette for about 15 years. This is by far the best experience I’ve had. I was blonde already, but not at my goal and not only did Cammi achieve my goal in one sitting while maintaining the health of my hair, but the whole appointment couldn’t have been better. The whole staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The owner is very sweet and considerate. Before my appointment, I read the reviews and unfortunately someone left a bad one for Cammi specifically. As a business owner I could tell it was absolutely illegitimate, from a customer that felt inferior because of Cammis, youth, beauty and talent and let me tell you that person was completely wrong for the review they left!!!!! Cammi is an angel and made the whole experience so much fun, but most importantly IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TALENTED. Anyone who has a problem with her, especially specifically for her youth is clearly just old and unhappy with themselves and projecting. This is everything you could ever want from a hair salon and stylist Do not discriminate towards her. If anything she should receive extra commendation for being so talented and experienced . She is no less an expert than anyone else in there and surpassed with flying colors the 15+ year experienced stylist I used to see (who did hair for Hollywood). I will be a forever customer and I couldn’t recommend them more. I will tell everyone I can how amazing it is here. (Bonus points for them, they had snacks for my waiting husband and the Poppi soda they gave me was great, never had one before)

Bloom Studio is BOSS!!! Cami does a great job! I knew what I wanted, shared a photo and told her to do what she needed to do to get as close to the picture as possible! Cami, hands down did a great job!!! She may be young…but she’s got this y’all 💯! I also watched the other stylists do a wonderful job on the other girls that were there at the same time as me with all different styles! I will definitely be back! Cami, heads up you are now MY hair stylist!!! Love my hair and I’ve gotten sooo many compliments! Thank you sooo much! 💖🥰😁

This is probably the worst hair appointment I’ve ever had. I was given an inexperienced 18 year old to do my hair and I didn’t find out until halfway through the appointment. I showed her my inspo picture and asked for curtain bangs instead of the ones in the photo. She clearly didn’t listen and cut them way too short, not to mention that she cut my hair dry which is a big no no. When it was all done, it was completely unstyled and it looked like I had just rolled out of bed. I DO NOT recommend getting your hair done here Adding something else, because I found out that this place is for trainees to practice on hair and get better. It would be great if they would advertise that. I think the fact that they only had 3 stylists should have been my first sign. But I found out from a ton of people at my school that they DO NOT recommend this place. And if you do go here, don’t ask for an edgy or risky haircut, because they obviously can’t handle it. I asked for a mini shag with curtain bangs and I got a Dora the explorer haircut, I had to fix it myself. Cried the whole way home

I 100% recommend Bloom studios and Salem is the best hairstylist! I had a bad experience at another downtown salon and went to Bloom very hesitantly! Having such a traumatic experience previously made me so nervous to get my hair done again, but SALEM DID SO GOOD! I had to have a color correction and I started with black zebra striped blonde hair and left with a natural, gradient, and perfectly toned balayage! I also have natural black hair and we were able to lighten it which came out so beautiful! I also felt that the salon worked so good as a team and always helped each other out! Thank you Bloom Studios!

Absolutely love Bloom. Salem and her girls are extremely talented and her boutique is the cutest. These girls rock. As a professional who owns her own business, I can appreciate the experience Bloom delivers. Salem has created such a chill, warm atmosphere in her shop. She always listens to what I want and works hard to get my hair to where I want it; if it’s something that she knows might no work just right she explains the reasons why and then suggests an option she knows will work and I’ll love. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality experience and product.

BEST SALON IN LYH. I’ve tried many salons in the area and none compare. It’s not the typical, run of the mill salon in Lynchburg. Very upscale service. Bloom is a one stop shop and that’s what I love about it. Need my hair did? Check. Need a cute outfit? Check. Need a gift? Check. Heck let me get a tan while I’m at it. Excellent service and I appreciate the professionalism!

I went to Bloom for a hair styling appt for a special event at Liberty. I requested a blowout and half up hair style. My appt began 15 mins late because the woman in front of me arrived late. The stylist washed my hair and blow dried it, but there was no blow out effect. My hair was limp and straight despite the curling, and the style was so simple I could have done it myself. And the pricing was outrageous. I’ve had friends have bad experiences with Bloom before, but wanted to try it out on my own, and I will not be returning or recommending them again.

I went to Bloom to have my hair colored for my first time and get a considerably shorter haircut. Being new to getting my hair colored I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but I explained that my goal was to enhance my natural hair color and Salem definitely delivered! Even though they were fairly busy I felt Salem and the team did a wonderful job making me feel like I had a personalized experience. The team works very well together to take care of their clients. The entire staff is incredibly kind. The environment is very chic and they sell a lot of quality products.

Bloom Studios was such an amazing choice for my wedding day!!! Salem Hicks, owner, is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Her talent and skill is unmatched and her execution of it comes with such ease, peace, and kindness. Everyone was so happy with their hair after having it done the morning of the wedding and felt absolutely so confident, gorgeous, and the best version of themselves. Salem’s team was so kind and professional and made wedding morning such a sweet memory! Salem went ABOVE and BEYOND on wedding morning, helping tape me into my dress, remediate a spray tan disaster, and touch up my hair countless times during our rainy wedding morning. She was so patient, sweet, and offered such a calming presence on wedding day. It is a gift I can never thank her enough for. Emma is amazing. I called them after driving by the business. No referral at all. Taking a chance I was prepared for the worst but hoping for the best. I'm a travel nurse who hasn't had a hair cut since 2019. I had bleached my whole head white, and dyed my money piece rainbow which left A LOT of residual blue in my hair. I had no idea what I wanted. Just that I didn't want my hair like that anymore. She asked me specific questions and had to dig it out of me what I wanted. Hair holds trauma, and I was a breath away from shaving it all off. I walked away from that beautiful studio feeling like a new person. I immediately sent photos back home. My family told me it looks great. My boyfriend back home really likes it. The care she took made me feel like a princess. Thanks Emma. You have good instincts. I feel amazing.

Sweet place. I wasn't expecting barber's chairs, but I had already assumed it was a Print Shop. Oops. The open floor plan feels bright and refreshing. The items for sale are sweet, bright, and not ostentatious. If I want a fancy soap or Costume Jewelry, now I know where to go.

BEST SALON. holy smokes i grew up around lynchburg and always struggled finding a salon that made me love my hair. i recently got out of a relationship and went into this salon for the first time because i wanted to feel better about myself. i asked salem to give me that “revenge hair” and she sure as hell did!!! i feel so confident and beautiful because of the cut and color (she even helped me find the best way to part my hair for my face...like c’mon that’s amazing no one has ever done that for me before). i fully trust them to do what they know is best for my hair because they are extremely professional and sweet. i even left with a few new goodies because they use the best products that are reasonably priced and smell incredible. seriously cannot say enough great things about these girls. **basically hair magicians and i won’t ever go anywhere else**

Casey is wonderful. She’s so good at what she does, did exactly what I had envisioned (better actually) and the cost was totally fair. It was a comfortable environment and I left feeling beautiful and refreshed! I drove an hour from Roanoke and will do it again and again! Definitely plan a visit to Bloom Studio for all your needs. Look for the pink door! 💕

Great experience at Bloom! Lexi was my stylist, and she did an incredible job. The main reason I would return however, is that the girls who work here are kind. It is a great atmosphere, but kindness and professionalism win every time. I was so happy with my experience at Bloom!

I am very disappointed in my experience at Bloom. I had an appointment on May 19 with Casey for a full balayage & color. My actual appointment was where it started. The environment is aesthetic, but that’s about all Bloom has going for them. I did not feel like my stylist wanted to converse or get to know me whatsoever. I realize her job is to do hair not make friends, but this is a customer service field, so your attitude matters. There was an “I’m better than you” attitude/air in the room & I felt very uncomfortable. When I got in the car, I realized that my hair did not turn out as I had hoped. I got home & styled it how I normally would and looked at it in a few different lights. That evening I reached out to Casey about it she said “Your hair was definitely light enough when you left. Maybe the lighting you're seeing it in is the issue? ” She did not apologize or offer to invite me back in to correct it. I had to go to a DIFFERENT salon and pay them to fix my hair. This shouldn’t happen. I am disappointed in the poor customer service provided at Bloom and for their staff not striving to make the customer satisfied. I will not be returning to Bloom, and I have told multiple friends and coworkers about my experience.

I had the worst hair experience at Bloom Studio that I have ever had and I’m sorely disappointed with the result of my hair. I waited nearly an hour before anyone began work on my hair. I did not receive personalized service which led to a lack of communication on my desires for my hair. There were two of people who worked on my hair, who not only worked on me but also bounced between two additional clients in my time in the chair, a client in the lobby, and multiple phone calls, which lead to dismal communication and customer service. My color stayed on 10 minutes longer than I was told it needed to stay on my hair. Approximately 6 inches of hair was cut off (without communicating this to me before the chop) instead of the amount communicated at the beginning of the appointment, which was a drastically smaller approximation. The end result does not look like the photos and videos I attempted to share and collaborate with the stylist, Salem, on two separate occasions during the appointment. I made an entire pinterest board for my desired style, cut, and color, and asked her to scroll through, but instead she glanced at one photograph and then proceeded on with the appointment. I was insulted several times from both stylists about the quality and apparent lack-luster beauty of my hair. The comments stated to me were about: -the quality of my hair -the length of my hair -it’s inability to blow dry -how you "couldn’t imagine i could get a brush through it at home" (which, i assure you, i could) these horrible insults were not worthy of a response. I have never been criticized by a salon professional about my hair. How does that serve the proprietor or the client? As most women would attest, the appearance of my hair is a significant part of my self-confidence ... I have not been able to stop crying over the horribly disappointing result of the cut and color done on my hair at the salon. My hair has been taken from me by people who were too frantic and overstimulated to focus on doing a quality job based on the client’s requests.

I made an appointment at Bloom, reluctantly, after having scheduling issues with my current hair dresser (who I loved, but never seemed to have availability). I am SO THANKFUL a friend referred me! My customer experience was phenomenal! They have a super chic salon! I was kindly greeted by Jamie, who I could have talked to all day! Casey did my hair and was so sweet! I chatted and laughed with all of the girls! I also met Salem, the owner who is so sweet (and has the cutest dog). My hair looks PHENOMENAL! And the products line they cary is high quality and smells amazing! As a business owner myself, I am so thankful to have a place I know I can send my clients, to receive paralleled customer experience and service. I will be passing their name on to everyone I know. You go to get your hair done and feel like your chatting with all of your girlfriends! Highly recommend!

I truly cannot say enough about this salon and the stylists there! I started going to Bloom after the woman I work for got her hair done by Salem. I was obsessed with her hair! Salem was so kind and worked to quickly get me in (as my roots were greatly outgrown thanks to coronavirus). I really have never been happier with a color or cut in my life! I expressed that I wanted to try curtain bangs and have a cut that felt like “me.” Salem definitely delivered. Her and her assistant, Emma, provided a great (and quick) experience for me! Salem is so kind and really listened to me and delivered what I had imagined and more. I have never left so happy with my hair and it is definitely worth the hour drive from Roanoke! I can not recommend this place and these women enough.

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience here was the worst :( I have curly hair and I went to get a trim. Salem shampooed and conditioned me then started to straighten it. I have always gotten my hair trimmed or cut curly because you arent sure which way my curls will go unless you know my hair.Now it is so poofy :( On top of that the customer service is absolutely terrible. If you tell them you don't like your hair theyll ban you from the salon. The girls there are all from LU which is awesome but do not come across very Christ-like. Theyre just a gang of bullies and will gang up on you if you have something to say other than you love your hair. If you walk into the salon you feel very weird especially since the girls all look the same which theres nothing wrong with that but you can tell that they think theyre better than you. They literally remind of the girls in High school that would bully you. Its like inside a basement with no ventilation it can make you feel a little sick. Maybe if they moved above ground that would help...If anyone wants to message me i can show you the messages between me and salem which you probably will be in awe of her terrible customer service. Salem and Casey are amazing! The unique atmosphere of Bloom is very quiet and relaxing and provides a private and personalized experience with each visit. This is not a noisy salon packed full of people, it is a boutique salon experience that specializes in giving women the hair of their dreams. I have become a regular client since they opened and I’m inspired by Salem’s passion for helping others. She has a special gift of helping others become the best version of themselves. Salem is one of the first stylists on the east coast to offer NBR hair extensions, the best out there - I’ve tried them all! This is a huge achievement as NBR requires their stylists to complete an intense training and commit to continued learning just to offer these incredible extensions in their salons. Each stylist is an expert in hair color, I have had several friends and family members tell me that they are in love with their hair color from Bloom.

Such a cute place! I️ was able to get a last minute appointment when someone couldn’t make there’s and had Lexi as my stylist... she asked lots of questions and made sure I️ was Comfortable every step of the process... she recommended treatments that applied to my style hair and communicated the whole time. Like most girls, I’m crazy about my hair, so this was so appreciated! My cut, color, and style all came out perfectly and was done in an efficient manner. The product line they use there smells incredible and is top quality... ok, rant over. This place is great. Check it out if you’re I️n the market.

The most unprofessional place I have ever been to. Caused so much damage to my hair and still charged so much for it. The strand test they did with my hair revealed that my hair would not take to the color I wanted but instead of stopping and telling me that they dyed my hair anyways and turned it green. Its been months and its still damaged and in the end they still charged a hefty price for their mistake. To make it 'right' they offered to fix it but when I took them up on the offer they never got back in touch with me. If it were possible to give zero stars I would.
