I booked a cut & style with Coy. I’ve only ever cut my hair myself or got baby trims for atleast a couple decades due to a hair dresser whacking my waist length hair at a hair show without my permission. He was warm, listened to what I wanted, went over photos I saved, took empathy to my fear, was professional & SO HILARIOUS. When he spun my chair around, my jaw dropped & the tears came. It was EXACTLY what I wanted; chin length curtain bangs & tons of layers. I’m obsessed with my hair!! Thank you again Coy for an amazing job. I can’t wait for my hair to grow so I can see you again!

Lisa got me in last minute for a wash and blow out and it was the best thing I could have done for myself! WOWOWOWO! My hair looks absoutely incredible. 10/10! Will definitely be going back!!!

Sad to say I am not thrilled. I was hoping for a salon style blow out and they didn’t even touch my roots. I have limp rod curls that I could have done myself… but I would have blown out my own roots. Kind of lit $70 on fire with this one and have to go to a wedding and fix my hair beforehand. Ladies were lovely but a bunch of our styles didn’t land.

I went to go get a blowout today and I was very disappointed with my service. I did decide to leave two stars instead of one because I need to recognize that although I was not necessarily happy with the outcome of my hair, I was able to get a same day appointment and the salon was very clean. In our consultation I specifically said I wanted volume and curls as my main goal and I left with pretty flat hair. My stylist did ask if there’s anything I wanted to change and I did say one side seemed flatter than the other and then she recurled one part. At that point she probably would’ve had to redo my entire hair and I had other appointments to get to today. Maybe I should’ve showed her a picture of what I wanted.

Unimpressed. Booked because of the great reviews. It took way too long and the pin curls fell flat in an hour. I had to style it at my hotel room before I went out.

Lisa and her colleagues at Blow & Go is simply outstanding. I need special care as my hair has challenges. They are caring for both me as to how I look and feel when they are finished and they follow up as well. 5* for sure.

Came here to get a blowout after I forgot all my hot tools at home on a work trip! I have fine hair that doesn’t hold curls that well. Lisa definitely took the time to understand my hair and gave me a great blowout that lasted all weekend!

I had a great experience with Lisa. I booked last minute for a blowout and styling for a wedding I was participating in. I requested soft waves and a “half up” style with braids. Lisa executed exactly what I was hoping for, and the styling lasted easily the entire day and evening. I got lots of compliments on the braids too! I would definitely come back.

I worked with a couple of the stylists at Blow & Go for my wedding. Taylor did my blow out the day prior and Vanessa did my hollywood waves the day of. I hadn't heard of the salon prior, and I just adore it! They have curated such a lovely and warm atmosphere. Both stylists I worked with were wonderful to chat with and I was very happy with how my hair turned out for both days. I highly recommend working with either Taylor or Vanessa (or probably anyone at this salon!) for your wedding or otherwise. Thanks again for helping me feel beautiful!

Initially, I felt lucky to find Blow & Go after my original salon had to reschedule due to illness. Booking within 48 hours is always risky, but I decided to go for it. Naturally, my 3 year old puppy started displaying a concerning movement pattern after a recent surgery, and I somehow got a “squeezed-in” spot… at the same time as my appointment. I noticed online there were other appointments available in the next day or so and thought I would try to see if I could move my appointment slightly to accommodate the vet. What struck me initially, was a complete lack of compassion, and due diligence on the part of the person who answered the phone. They assumed I had scheduled the appointment “a really long time ago” and were absolute in their cancellation window 50% payment required… which was the same for rescheduling too. So I called in some favors, and was determined to not let this ruin the experience. I showed up early (knowing their policies) and found it fairly easy to find, definitely a well designed studio. My stylist was friendly and accommodating, we talked through what I was looking for and settled on a partial low-light, tone, and haircut. As she was preparing the quote for services, I noticed she was seeking guidance from someone via text. “$260” she said, which seemed reasonable, and I agreed. Well a few minutes later, she came back and, in looking at her phone said “actually it’s going to be $380 for everything”. A little taken back by the significant price jump, I asked how much it would be without the haircut, thinking I could solve for that problem later. After more texting she said “unfortunately there’s no way to separate it so it would be $380 with or without the haircut”… I was absolutely floored, never have I encountered a bundled flat fee for hair before. I checked the website to see if I missed something about appointment minimums or flat fees…found nothing. I was told if I walked away I’d be charged 50% of the $380 as a fee so I was backed into a corner… pay $190 for nothing, or $380 for the services. I chose the latter. In the end, the color was okay, the appointment ran long, and I was left feeling a bit taken advantage of...

Lisa did the one on one tutorials with me--both for the Dyson Airwrap and hot tools. She was incredibly patient and did a great job taking me through the process. It was super fun and I'm glad I did it!

Taylor is amazing! I went in to this salon first for a blowdry and style and realized that haircuts and coloring were offered too. I go to her now for face frame blonde highlights and overall color and it looks so natural! Super thoughtful stylist and love the vibe in there. You won't be disappointed!

I had gotten my hair extensions put in where I’m from in Massachusetts and left the next day for my trip to Portland not realizing that the girl did not blend and cut them properly. It was so noticeable I had to book an appointment immediately when I landed. I had an appointment at another salon who called to cancel me 2 hours before my appointment... I went down the line in google calling every salon in Portland and no one would answer or could help. I stoped calling for a bit and then my friend told me to try one more time. That’s when I called blow and glo. Immediately I knew this was the place. The girl who answered the phone was SO sweet! She was able to get me in in 15 mins. Taylor was the stylist who saved the day and she definitely brightened my day! I appreciate her staying late to help me too! She listened to me and made me feel so comfortable, and was extremely knowledgeable. I knew I was in good hands. If I lived in this state, I would definitely be a loyal client here! Everyone here is so welcoming and sweet. Even the stylist next to us, Vanessa was too! Amazing salon experience and great start to our trip in Portland. Thanks!

I booked an appointment the night before my engagement shoot pretty last minute. I was so grateful they had appointments on Sundays! I was lucky enough to get in with Lisa, the owner. She was absolutely amazing and very skilled. The studio itself is very cute and in a great area. Be sure to take the elevator to the fourth floor from the coffee shop so you don’t have to walk up four flights of stairs. It was a great environment. I wanted a blow out with some loose curls because I was doing a photoshoot on the coast later that day with the potential for rain and wind. Lisa knew exactly what to do to help get the curls to last. By the time the photo shoot came around, the curls had fallen perfectly into place. Sure enough, it did rain, but they stayed looking amazing the whole way through! I’m lucky my hair holds a curl pretty well, but I couldn’t have achieved the look without Lisa! Can’t wait to come back soon. Will definitely be using this as my go-to blow out bar in Portland!

I filled out their contact form at least twice, more than three weeks ago and also attempted to get ahold of them by phone. Three weeks seems like an excessive time to not get back to someone. Phone lines don't even have a voicemail. Very unprofessional. (I assumed they will comment back stating they don't have a submission for me under this email address. As an FYI, I submitted the form using my secondary email, however, the first and last name and phone number should be the same.)

I love going to Taylor - she takes so much pride in her work and I always feel like my hair is getting the upmost care and attention. I first scheduled randomly with her for a Brazilian blowout and now I go for my cut/color everything. She’s the best!

Blow and Go has been my go-to for hair blowouts for a while and now for hair cuts. I just booked a color melt and couldn't be more excited. I've always been happy with the way my hair turns out and would highly recommend this hair studio not just for the quality of the services but also for the engaged and welcoming employees and relaxing environment.

I found this place on Instagram and it was super quick to set an appointment with Itzel. My experience with her has been amazing. She takes the time to ask me questions, listens, and explains everything very clearly. Their space is also very cute which makes me want to keep coming back! I smashed two of my fingers with a heavy door about a week ago and have been unable to wash my hair. When I tell you it was knotted, matted and beginning to dread, I mean it. Thank goodness for @blowandgopdx ! Lisa took such good care of me and gently detangled, washed and styled my hair. ❤️

Isabella always takes so much care of me. From the second I walk into the salon, I felt so welcome. Isabella went through every detail of hair cut with me to make sure that I was comfortable. I ended up loving my hair cut and my blowout lasted 5 days without getting oily. I ended up coming again for my bridal shower hair and Isabella worked with me to keep the hair style intact under my hijab. I def reccomend this salon!

Taylor and Lisa are the hair GOATS! I can’t recommend blow & go enough for any hair need you might have. I’ve had an excellent experience getting my hair toned, styled, scalp treatments were so relaxing and when I got hair extensions they looked amazing! You couldn’t even tell I had extensions when I had them. I can’t recommend their services enough. The people are all so nice and the hours fly by when you’re with them!

This month Itzel has styled my hair twice and I have nothing but positive things to say about her and this business. The staff is so kind, helpful to one another when running behind to make up time, and is professional from beginning to end. Their prices are fair and the quality matches. Absolutely will be back, such a great option in Portland with a convenient location. Only sticking point is a friendly reminder being in the city that parking is always an issue, so give yourself a few extra minutes as it is limited.
