I had considered getting my hair and makeup done at Blown Away for my wedding, even went through a trial run. I ultimately had to go elsewhere due to appointment availability and it was a blessing in disguise. I got an unexpected email the week of my wedding saying the salon was closing, effective immediately. I instantly felt relief that I had an appointment at another salon, but then felt horrible for the people who had to frantically make last minute arrangements. Unless ownership and management is changing, I would be very weary about making an appointment here for a big event.

Came from out of town for my brothers wedding and decided to try this place and it does not disappoint! Friendly staff and clean salon ! My hair looked great all weekend despite the high humidity.

This blow out bar is temporarily closed to rebrand and renovate. When they open back up I definitely recommend you give them a try! I had an absolutely wonderful time this past Friday. The owner was super nice and I loved my hair, as did my mom who also got her hair done. I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

I enjoyed the services of this business for years when it was run by Jenny and Julie and loved my membership. Unfortunately, the new owner decided to close abruptly with no notice and right after my membership fee had been deducted for the month (with no opportunity to use those credits). She did not respond to email. Even if there is a rebrand, if it remains under current ownership, I would not return to this business because of the lack of professionalism and communication.

By far the best place to get a blowout or spray tan in Raleigh. I have super thick, wavy hair, and all of the stylists do such an amazing job.

Giving two stars for the nice girls who work in the front, but otherwise I was definitely blown away, just not in a good way. I booked an appointment for a Thursday during my lunch break, but what a bad idea that was! Being that it was my first time there and I went during lunch time, parking was extremely difficult to find. When I finally arrived, exactly 15 minutes after my appointment, I was politely told to either wait another hour or reschedule. While there is a disclaimer on the site that they may not hold an appointment longer than 10 minutes, it was disheartening that they have zero tolerance even for unforeseen circumstances. I realize everyone's time is valuable and customers can take serious advantage but I already was feeling quite horrible driving over 30 minutes (each way) to be met with circling parking lots and parking garages for 15 minutes. I was really hoping for some compassion, understanding, or anything positive? Nope, just left feeling icky about myself (and pale). Very unpleasant experience.

I used to go to Dry Bar, and had too many bad experiences (I have long thick curly hair), so I decided to try Blown Away and have been so happy since. I get a blow out every 3-4 weeks and when anyone at Blown Away does it, I’m always happy with the results!

I went for a full hair and makeup package for a Christmas party. My coworker and I both had appointments at the same time. Her stylist, Brittany, was on time, skilled and efficient. My stylist was late to start and was still working on my hair by the time my friend was already done hair and makeup. I was not happy with the style and someone else basically finger combed my hair. When it came time for makeup, they took forever to get started and were extremely slow. We had asked to let us know when we could call an uber and they did not. Their computer wouldn't work so it took forever to pay and I was super late to our event. To top it all off, they were so rude about the situation. I'm still mad that I paid for the service and definitely won't be back.

I’m giving them a 1 star rating because I had an appointment at 8am this morning and no one ever showed up. The lights were off and doors were closed. I called them several times, texted them and left them a voicemail. I looked on their website to confirm their hours of operation and it indicated 8-6. I’m highly disappointed at their lack of professionalism to open on time.

My blowout fell out within an hour, however the service and conversation were amazing. Also my hair looked shiny and felt super healthy. I think the blowout falling out had more to do with my hair texture than the stylist’s skill.

First of all I am sorry for not remembering names but your front desk woman was attentive, informative and extremely friendly and helpful ( to many actually who came in before the stylists arrived). My stylist was wonderful in all ways and I received many compliments on my hair 😊 . I have long, thick, naturally wavy hair and she was ver thorough in making sure every strand of hair was tamed with soft loose curls and she made a Texas visitor feel at home!! Ooh, I forgot to mention the head massage which was very relaxing 😌. Thanks again !

Blown Away is my go-to, anytime I have an event. Arielle was awesome! I have long thick hair and my hair style was perfect! My curls held up in the humidity and the braid was an added touch for a beach family picture session.

I cannot rave about this place enough!!! Ive been here multiple times and each time I am even more impressed than before. I had my engagement shoot last week and received a hair style and a full face makeup application by Arielle. My hair looked great but I have NEVER had my make up look better IN MY LIFE! Arielle really knocked it out of the park, I was extremely happy with everything!
