I decided to treat myself and get a blow out last minute the day before New Year’s Eve! I have thick curly hair that is not very easy to blow out, so I wasn’t expecting much, but Patricia blew my mind!! Her welcoming personality me feeling comfortable from the start. She did a great job washing my hair, which is always a plus. Most stylists don’t clean the root of my hair well. She then dried and styled my hair, taking her time to work her magic. I walked out feeling so happy with my hair and her service. I’d definitely recommend Patricia and look forward to seeing her again soon.

I’ve been coming to this salon every time I’m in San Francisco for a meeting, and it’s always been my go-to spot. Unfortunately, my most recent experience didn’t meet the usual standards. I had a blowout with Angelica, but the entire appointment, which was supposed to be an hour, felt rushed and lasted only 35 minutes—including the shampoo and styling with round brush. While I appreciate efficiency, the result wasn’t what I expected. The frizz wasn’t fully smoothed out, and my hair fell flat within an hour. I did share some feedback with Angelica, but she mentioned she had another client waiting right after me, which made me feel a bit brushed off. Aileen, however, was incredibly kind and tried to help during the touch up, but the salon seemed so tightly booked that it didn’t leave much room for proper attention. There was also a mix-up with the weekday discount—I didn’t get it applied at checkout, and when I called back, Angelica said I hadn’t mentioned it. She promised to check with the manager and get back to me, but I never heard anything. That part was particularly frustrating since I’ve always appreciated the professionalism here. I’ve noticed some of the stylists I loved working with in the past are no longer here, which may be part of why things felt off this time. I still believe in this salon’s potential and hope they can address these issues because I’d love to keep coming back.

Had a dry thermal styling, was happy that there was an option downtown given dry bar closed, but I could have done a better job honestly it is disappointing. I gave a 3 star bc I’m nice.

Samuel Rodriguez gives the best blow outs ever! I have curly hair and when visiting SF I know the humidity will make me look frazzled and frizzy, but I met Samuel at 8:30am and I walked out of the salon a different women. He’s friendly, knowledgeable with my hair type and gives a great scalp massage. Bonus points he works early so I look polished all day. Thank you Samuel, I’ll be back.

Blowology Blowout Fabulous! Found my new favorite salon in San Francisco! Owned by Latina entrepreneur Suzie Dominguez, stylist Aleen gave me the slickest BlowDry before my @HACR speaking engagement on Wednesday & I returned today for color & touch up! Love the place! Elegant—salon on the 10th floor on Geary St. What makes them unique…you have the option to come back within 3 days for a touch up! And, ladies, she’s opening a franchise in Dallas!

Charged full price because my flight was delayed and I had to cancelled I understand a cancellation fee but to charge me the full $105 for service never rendered is ridiculous. Totally unprofessional.

I dislike leaving poor reviews. But everyone around me at my best friend’s wedding said, “you paid $100 for your hair style?! What even did they do? It looks like nothing stayed together.” When I look back, I was really disappointed with the services that I received - I was already stressed out because I was in the middle of editing my speech, so I really did not want to stress about my hair. Truthfully, I felt like I was taken advantage of. I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to micromanage a stylist, and wants to trust their judgment and ability. However, I explicitly told the stylist she would have to leave my hair pinned in curls as my hair texture has a hard time holding curls, yet she seemed reluctant to do even that. And she did not. As a consequence, my hair fell apart within an hour. Instead of listening to her clients and ensuring that they would be happy with the style and without any reassurance that it would last throughout the event, it seemed like she was focused on taking pictures of what she believes to look great. Which weren’t even the Hollywood waves, which I requested specifically a week in advance. I would have happily paid $150-200 to another stylist to do the job, especially if they would listen to the client and incorporate feedback in order to provide an excellent service. I would appreciate if you would reach out to me in terms of how to rectify this because after all pictures are forever and my hair didn’t even last the night.

I had a fantastic blowout with Ethan Yeetheng - I had a picture of what I wanted but he made it look even better, making recommendations for how the style would hold better. I also loved the option to get a complementary touch up after a few days. Ethan made everything so easy and he was also just a truly wonderful person! I will be definitely be back to see him next time.

I had a keratin treatment done here and had a great experience! I have extremely thick and coarse hair that is pretty difficult to deal with. My hair takes a long time which makes it hard on the stylist. However, at blowology, they didn’t make me feel like a burden just because my hair was difficult to deal with. They did a great job and were very kind and accommodating throughout the three hour service. I definitely plan on coming back. My hair has never been so soft and shiny!! I would recommend here to anyone no matter their hair type!!

I was in SF for a work conference and happened upon this amazing place. Gorgeous interior with a jazzy, speakeasy kind of vibe. My hair stylist was Alison and she did an amazing job with my dry mess of hair. Within an hour and a half (and a mimosa later), I was feeling like a rockstar and looking like one too. If I was in SF, I would definitely keep seeing Alison for my hair. Will see you guys next year for my annual pilgrimage! (I wish I had an after shot but here is a before and middle one.)

It was my first day at a new job and I wanted to make a great impression with a blow out. Found blowology on google and was super easy to make an appointment. I believe the owner did my hair and she was absolutely lovely - space was beautiful. I also got a hand massage that was so relaxing. First day was a success and felt beautiful for the next 3 days - that’s how long the blow out lasted! Def will be back

This is a beautiful blow dry bar located in the best shopping street I’ve experienced in San Francisco! The staff was warm and friendly, the space incredibly chic, and my hair looks great! I can’t wait to come back and try the sauna and massage options.

Walked in here with no appointment and was treated like royalty. Got the dry heat styling option, which lasted the whole time I was in town for work. That's me in the rust colored top on the right. would visit again!

Wouldn’t recommend. I asked for something simple and even had photos of myself with a blowout to show what I wanted. The stylist wasn’t helpful or accommodating at all and questioned everything I said/asked for. She had the same attitude with her next client too. I could have done a better job on my hair myself and had to redo it when I got home. Also I didn’t touch it or mess with it at all on the way home as advised, but it all fell out immediately. Luckily I had time before my nye event to fix it. Stylist was truly unfriendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Wasted $140 and my time.

Above and beyond. They were able to accommodate me with travel disruptions. Got a perfect blowout from Aleen. The whole experience turned a stressful day into a relaxing one. Left feeling like a million bucks. Didn’t get all the staff’s names but everyone was lovely. I can’t wait to go back!!

I had full make up done by Stephanie who did an incredible job! She was so easy and nice to chat with. After showing her some inspiration pictures she gave me exactly the look I was going for. She was great at aligning eye and lip color with my complexion. Suzie did my hair and same story! My hair style was exactly what I wanted. She had offered to add some decorative hair pins which was a really thoughtful touch. I had brought some of my own that she put in for me. I left Blowology very happy and feeling beautiful! The space just has a comfortable and inviting vibe too. Very pleased with my decision to come here!

The staff is super welcoming, it's a small salon upstairs. Hospitable with drinks. Only down fall is that I came here looking for a blow out with a curly specialist and that is not what I ended up receiving. The stylist was super kind and willing to learn more techniques but I suggest they offer the staff a education class day for handling kinky curly hair. I felt like I had a LOT of hair pulled out, the stylist didn't know how to detangle my hair and made me feel like my hair was coarse and unruly. Which it's not. Dont blowdry with a denman brush please..I nearly wanted to stop the service at the look of chunks of hair left in it. Need to understand that when you have a curly client, detangle their hair at the shampoo bowl with conditioner. Once you rinse them out and bring them to your chair, you will end up saving yourself hours. What I felt could've been an 2 hr max appointment ended up being near 4. Not fun being out on vacation and taking a chunk of the time with hair being pulled out. 🙃 Knowledge is power and I know if they have an instructor visit them, they will be stronger with ethnic clients.

Was in San Francisco for the weekend and wanted to look my best. Went to Blowology and got a GREAT Blowout AND a lovely hand massage for a reasonable price. Left feeling pretty and relaxed. Try it! You’ll like it!
