I have been seeing Bobby since he opened his salon in 2015; and I was a client of his before opening his own brick and mortar on South Street. I fear for the day I move away from Philly - if I ever do- because Bobby and his team have had my trust for over a decade. My wife also goes to the salon and has been going there for a few years now! If anyone ever asks for a salon to start going to I will always and forever recommend Bobby Mack and his team of highly trained professional stylists. Not only have I been a client of Bobby's, but from time to time I have had other members of his team provide my services and they have all been top notch. Bobby has provided me with coloring services, to haircuts to extension placement and I have nothing but amazing words to say about the services I have received. Bobby always takes the time to consult with his clients about their hair goals and will provide educated suggestions for how to achieve their goals and to provide the best health for their hair. The salon itself is beautiful and relaxing and the front desk staff is kind and always willing to help with your scheduling needs. If you live in the Philadelphia area Bobby Mack & Co is a must for all of your haircare needs.

Bobby has been cutting and coloring my hair for over a decade now and I cannot say enough about how every detail of his salon is meticulous perfection. Prior to meeting Bobby I only ever got a single cut at any one salon and never loved it. Now I would never go anywhere else. The salon makes communication easy, everyone cares about and listens to their clients, and Bobby and the team are pros at consistency with high quality experience. The best!

I have had recurring great experiences with Anh! I can promise you that I have been all over Philly at the highest end salons and Anh was the first stylist to hear me and correct my color and cut to something I really enjoy. She is patient, detailed and thorough every time I see her, I would highly recommend this salon. It's clean, and high end but not fussy, the staff are genuinely nice and accommodating.

I’ve been a loyal client of Bobby's for over 10 years. Bobby is a true artist who consistently works magic on my hair. He is always on board with trying out a new look or makes suggestions when I don't know what direction to go with with my hair. The salon is a gem—professional, nicely decorated, and well-organized. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a team of courteous and friendly staff. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into running the salon, and I've had nothing but positive experiences in my decade with Bobby!

I have been going to Macy to get my hair cut and colored for roughly 1.5 years now. I followed her from a previous salon, and let me tell you - this girl NEVER disappoints. She is open and honest about what we can achieve in a single session. If I provide inspo photos that are not achievable, she is able to find a happy medium with me effortlessly. If I have questions about styling at home or products to keep my color fresh and hair healthy in between sessions, she always provides a knowledgeable explanation and recommendations. She is extremely talented and I have never left her chair without feeling like a million bucks. Price points at the salon are fair (a little high compared to other salons I’ve been to in the past), but absolutely worth it for the quality of services provided. Nice hair isn’t cheap and cheap hair isn’t nice!! I highly recommend both Bobby Mack Salon and Macy.

I went to Mackenzi for a haircut and beard trim and had such an amazing experience. Not only do I feel like I got an absolutely perfect haircut, but I had such a nice time talking and chatting with her. I recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, enjoyable, and overall excellent experience.

I've gotten my hair done twice at this studio and have left very happy both times! Macy is a sweetheart and is extremely talented. She always captures my vision perfectly and helps me to feel confident and beautiful. She has always been able to give me the perfect blonde color that I am seeking and has cut my hair into the cutest style that has been easy and manageable for me. Highly recommend Macy & this studio!

Don’t try to sell yourself as a high end salon when the only people that cab get appointments are those who have either been going there or are friends with the stylist. The owner is never there, galavanting around. Overpriced and overhyped.

I've been seeing Bobby for years and truly couldn't be happier with each experience. His haircuts and styling recommendations are always spot on, offering small change suggestions to keep it fresh. The booking process is so easy with texts and emails, making it incredibly convenient to not have to call. The front desk team is consistently excellent, and the studio is always clean and full of good energy. Playlist on point! Highly recommend!

Aliyah is such a sweetheart and makes you feel so comfortable. On top of that she is a really talented stylist who knew exactly what color combo would look best on me. I can't wait to come back and get it touched up + a fabulous blowout and style!

Bad customer service. I was so upset because the stylist did not explain well and did not listen to me very well. I did not want to but I could not stop crying while getting my hair done, and nobody cared about it. It was the worst experience ever. Ever. Never going back here. Also, my hair got so much damaged. Haircut was bad either. I had to get another haircut in different place. Not sure why they are so popular.

Wonderful experience - Maggie took all the steps to give my hair the perfect color while avoiding any damage, and she did a fabulous cut and style! She was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I left the salon feeling like a new person!

I had an appointment with Aliyah and she is absolutely incredible! She is so beautiful inside and out and gave me the best color and cut of my life! Before I went to her I felt that my hair color had started to look dull and very dry (even with using every expensive product out there). After leaving the salon, my hair looks the healthiest it ever has and the color has new life in it! Aliyah is so talented, thoughtful, and funny.. I feel so thankful I got an appointment at this salon with her! The salon itself is also very aesthetically pleasing! Very clean and modern with beautiful lighting! I have been to Bobby Mack studio twice now, and I have been going to Aliyah since the beginning of this year. Aliyah is a beautiful person inside and out.I can’t thank her enough for the kindness she has shown me each time. Aliyah makes sure that you get exactly what you are looking for, she makes sure that you get something that looks good on you depending on your hair and complexion. Which shows how much she loves what she does and how much she cares about her clients.

It is hard for me to trust someone with my hair. Mackenzi has been doing my hair for 3 years. I know my hair is not easy to manage ( greying/ brassy/ thick/ coarse and long). But somehow she always make me feel my best. I could show her all kinds of my crazy ideas and she always pulls through- and most of the time exceeds my expectations. She has a calm demeanor and she loves books. I find her very relatable. The only con for me is she is popular, so sometimes it is hard to get an appt with her. I guess I can’t keep her a secret forever. Most recent hair: expensive brunette?

I’m going to have to stand out as the sole bad review among many glowing reviews. I had a previous bad experience with a hairdresser, so I was uneasy about going into a salon. From the moment I entered Bobby Mack, furtive, judgmental stares were directed towards me. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Perhaps it was because I was not white. Perhaps it was because I was only getting a haircut and not spending enough money for them. Perhaps it was because I was younger and in college. Whatever it was, I watched as the clients around me were spoken to a friendly fashion, while I was spoken to dismissively and condescendingly. I was not offered any water/coffee, whereas the woman next to me was. The staff at Bobby Mack worked tirelessly to reinforce my anxiety about going to hair salons. That being said, I have no complaints about the haircut itself. It was excellent. But I can get the same haircut at a salon like Salon Oko, where my presence isn’t a nuisance.

Nicolette did an amazing job bringing dimension and light to my naturally super dark hair. I had avoided getting any lightening for years because the last time (at a different salon) damaged my hair so much. Thankful to have found Nicolette & Bobby Mack salon! I will be coming back.

This is the best salon I have EVER been to. Bobby is incredible. When I first moved to the city I read reviews about Bobby being the absolute best for blondes. My hair has never been healthier since working with him and I always get asked where I get my hair done from others! This salon is easily the best in Philadelphia -- I would be willing to travel if I ever moved out of the city just to keep coming here. Bonus points for the chic layout and design, love this place and the staff! ❤️

I’ve been going to Brandon T. for blonde highlights and Keratin for the past year and every time I leave feeling so fabulous!! The salon is always cute and tidy and they offer coffee or wine while getting your service. Can’t recommend more highly!!

Still trying to fix the health and color of my hair after a very bad dye job, that was overpriced. Very disappointing. Will not be coming back.
