April Campo is extremely knowledgable about electrolysis and entirely professional in her manner and demeanor. Her electrolysis machine is state of the art. You want to be sure you start this process with someone who has the knowledge and experience for effective and safe hair removal and I found that with April after an unhappy experience with a different electrolicist. I would highly recommend her for any kind or amount of hair removal. It works!

April and her staff are wonderful. Professional,knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Not only do they treat their clients with the utmost care, but they stand behind their service. I have known April for 30 yrs. She did my electrolysis that many years ago, and I have been hair free ever since. The treatment plan works and is SO WORTH IT! This place is the best for permanent hair removal. At the first consultation, April explained electrolysis processes, procedures for me to follow for best results and salon expectations for missed appointments. April is friendly and doesn’t make you feel embarrassed with hair you want removed…forever. I’m not going to be one of those old ladies with wild hairs growing in unwanted spots thanks to April!

April is AMAZING! Genuinely one of the most professional, friendly, and efficient electrologists I've ever been to (I've been to over 10+ electrologists since starting treatment). Her location is convenient, her workplace is immaculately clean, and she is excellent at responding to texts/calls when I need to make an appointment. I've been going to her for almost two years, and I couldn't be happier with my results. I HIGHLY recommend you go to Body Hair Gone, especially if you are new to treatment and do not know what good vs. bad looks like in terms of electrologist care & treatments.

April is very rude. She has been sending me appointment reminders consistently since I started in June 2021. Then yesterday I missed my appointment for the first time and only had canceled once prior. I told April that I assumed I would get an appointment reminder like I always do. Then she rudely tells me “Nope, you won’t always get those and that if you can’t make it to your appointments then don’t schedule, simple.” Then she proceeds to say I’ll apologize to Michaela on your behalf. I have been more than accommodating in the past when April has asked me on more than one occasion if she could move my appointment to a different time the day of my already scheduled appointment. Secondly, the weather was terrible and roads were icy and unsafe for anybody to drive yesterday. Because of that reason, I would have canceled anyhow. I will not do my business with anybody being rude to me. April can’t even take some accountability for her consistently giving me appointment reminders. Also, this isn’t the first incident April has been rude. I told her that I don’t like to shave because my skin reacts badly when I do. Shaving causes bad razor bumps and causes dark hyperpigmentation on my skin. April then tells me it’s mandatory and if I don’t shave then she won’t allow Michaela to work on me and I can’t be seen there anymore. I was offended by how she cut me off and didn’t care about my concerns. I just took her advice since she is the supposed “expert” and started shaving again. Then before I knew it my skin reacted badly and the hair grew back faster. My skin was doing great before I started shaving again. Michaela (my actually tech) has always been sweet and a pleasure to work with. Michaela even saw the reaction of my skin when I shaved, but she knew that April would throw a fit if she told me to stop. April, I will take my business elsewhere no problem!

I started with April about 6 months ago when I decided that I spent far too much time plucking out my Frida-Kahlo-brows and other facial hairs every day; and far too much time and money getting waxed; life is too short for me to spend the rest of my life in front of a 10x mirror examining the hairs poking out around my face. What a difference! Not only do I like my brows, my chin, and my lip... sitting in April's chair every couple weeks has become a time of peace and meditation. I hardly feel the zap of the probe anymore. She has music playing in the background and I really like her playlist. Sometimes I just lie there listening to music and drift away to a zen place. April is calm, peaceful, professional. She chats if you want, but most of the time she quietly goes about her work. Her space is neat, clean and welcoming. She makes recommendations, such as, "Go see my friend the brow specialist to shape those hairy caterpillars (she didn't say that part, but I do!) over your eyes so then I'll know exactly which ones to take, and which ones to leave." Which I did, and now I have a new wonderful facialist! Good people know other good people. We started with 45 minute sessions, every 2 weeks, but now I'm down to 30 minute sessions once a month. DEFINITELY made a difference. I went on a 3 week trip and did not even take my tweezers nor my travel mirror. It was fantastic to not worry that I was embarrassing myself with the whiskers on my chinny-chin-chin. (Does anyone else remember that old rhyme?) April sells a few, high quality products. They're displayed neatly on a shelf. She NEVER EVER tries to sell anything; but will tell me about the products if I ask. She doesn't have an admin so she makes all her own appointments. She's very responsive by text. She always runs ON TIME, which I appreciate. If my appointment is at 1:30, she is ready to go at 1:30. She sets a quiet timer for herself so that she knows when she has 5 minutes left, and can prioritize the last few stragglers. Another woman, Mykaela works in the space too. I saw her once because April was booked at the time I wanted. I found Mykaela excellent as well. My only regret is not doing this when I was 20. How many minutes/hours/days/weeks did all that plucking time add up to in my life-time so far?

About 10 or more years ago I began using April and was very pleased with the permanent results. Now, other hormones have kicked in, creating another area I need to have cleaned up. I immediately thought of April and she has already made quick progress. I definitely recommend Body Hair Gone.

8 (Sorry so long, there's just too much to say!) This review is SO LONG OVERDUE! Suffice it to say, my experience with Electrolysis with April Campo has been truly life-changing! I started going to her around 2002. The 10+ years before that, I LITERALLY spent 45 minutes to an hour - DAILY - plucking the mass of hairs on my face. Having a hairy face as a woman had such an impact on my self-confidence. And it felt like it was a NEVER ENDING battle. After strictly following April's regimen of X # of treatments spaced out over time, I STILL remember the first time I let a boyfriend touch my face without repositioning his hands down to my waist. I honestly don’t remember how much emotional pain I had from the unwanted hairs. Electrolysis itself wasn’t nearly as painful as the shame and embarrassment I experienced. I don’t even remember exactly how long it took for all the combined treatments to fully work, but it didn’t matter. Every appointment was an investment into myself toward my ultimate goal of never owning a razor or tweezers! Either way, I can all the time and money I spent investing into myself has been worth EVERY PENNY! In fact, I became somewhat addicted to it, lol. In addition to having a hair free face, I now have zero upper lip hair, no happy trail, zero armpit hair and a hair free bikini line! And let me tell you, it’s AMAZING! It was only in the first couple of years I had appointments on a somewhat regular basis. I moved away from Dallas in 2010 and would find time for an appointment once a year or so when I was back in town visiting family. Last October (2019), I was in Dallas and went for a 1-hour touch up. At this point, it was the first I’d heard about April leaving Lucy Peters and then she told me about her amazing new electrolysis machine. Before the end of 2019, a lightbulb just went off inside me and I KNEW that I had to start a new career as a professional electrologist. And if I was going to do that, it seemed only natural I should get the same kind of machine, table, etc. as April, who I still consider the Master! I went off to California to be trained by the best of the best in early 2020 (before Corona) and now I’m finally in the process of officially launching my new business, Get Outta Hair. (If you’re ever in Boulder, CO, and need a touch-up, call me!) April, thank you thank you thank you!!! If I had had an electrolysis horror story (you hear all about them at school), I wouldn’t be doing this as my career now. It’s only because April is truly the BEST! If you’re in Dallas, don't be an idiot and trust anyone else. Even if you have to drive over an hour, it’s worth it. Once your hairs are in the experienced hands of April, you’ll NEVER look back! And after knowing April nearly 20 years, she’s become a friend and I don’t ever remember her having one bad day, combined with so much professionalism and kindness. :)

Today I had my first session with Michaele and I’m not only very satisfied with the results but I’m also excited about my hair removal journey. When I initially reached out through the website I was contacted that same day by April. She was extremely polite and knowledgeable. I had to change my first appointment date because I couldn’t stand looking at the hairs on my chin any longer and April was very accommodating. When I first arrived at the office Michaele explained the entire process throughly and set me at ease. I can’t believe that I’m so close to not having to shave my chin hair anymore!

After several sessions, over this past year, I'm so excited that I will never have to think twice with the "did I shave" when I throw on my bikini. April is awesome. I interviewed with her a year ago. I decided on someone else who was cheaper and closer to my home... MISTAKE LEARNED! A year later I'm still not hair free on my lip and chin. I moved and April is closer to me now. So, I decided to spend the extra money to save driving time. I see more progress in 3 visits with April then 20 visits with my old electrolysis. Not to mention the system they each use is night and day difference in pain. It hurts, I won't lie but it doesn't hurt as bad as the other system my old electrolysis used. She is worth the extra money. I might be done now had I not tried to go the cheap route... which in the long run cost me more money. Highly recommend this place!

With her system, the results were immediate and permanent. Now I can go to the lake and take my shirt off without worrying about the endless jokes. April is amazing. As a teen and young adult female I was embarrassed by dark facial hair. After plucking and bleaching for years, I finally sought permanent treatment from April Campo with Lucy Peters International. April was so professional and kind - she explained the physiology of hair growth and how the Smooth System worked, answered my many questions, and helped me feel empowered in my decision to fix this problem. She came highly trained, very experienced, and followed OSHA regulations, which gave me peace of mind. I was nervous about the hair growth required for each visit but found a way to camouflage it with makeup. Each treatment removed more and more hair until the hair was completely gone! Lucy Peters International is fantastic! I had two areas done 20 years ago and have never had hair grow back. Unlike some places, Lucy Peters uses a process that doesn't just 'soften hair' it completely removes it. Now that I am over 50 I need to have my upper lip done! Just left there today and so pleased to say...after ONE visit all the hair is gone. I'll go back in a few weeks for a touch up. If you are going for multiple treatments on the same area to get hair removed...your going to the wrong place! PLUS, my consultant April is still there and has over 20 years experience!
