I had pain in my shoulders, neck, and low back. Hannah was my massage therapist and she was amazing! I was free of pain when she finished the massage. Best massage I’ve ever had hands down!

I had a strange experience during my visit yesterday. I booked a 60-minute massage, but about half of the session was taken up by acupuncture, which felt very rushed. Because of this, I didn’t get the full massage I expected. The therapist only focused on my neck and completely skipped the mid and lower back, which are typically included in a 60-minute treatment. To make things more uncomfortable, there was an awkward gratuity situation afterward. I had read in an email from Bodywork’s DW that tips are not mandatory since this isn’t a luxury spa service. However, the therapist was very pushy about receiving a tip, even though the treatment didn’t address my concerns. (It wasn’t my first time at Bodyworks DW, but it was a first time with this particular therapist. Never had any problems before).

I have seen Akiko at Bodyworks twice now and she is a REMARKABLE Massage Therapist! My longterm nerve and shoulder pain is already vastly reduced. She really focusses on analysis of posture and I'm already seeing a difference in how I stand and sit. I'm looking forward to continue working with her.

Best massage ever. I arrived in New York with very bad hip and knee pain. Worried that it would make exploring the city impossible, I googled massage therapist near me. Evie, who is a new therapist at this practice, is a magician. She immediately homed in on the problem areas and I felt like a new person walking out. I have now had two outstanding treatments from Evie and have booked a third before I fly home. I wish I could take her back to the UK with me. I highly recommend Bodyworks and Evie.

Hidden gem! I recently had cervical spine fusion and have been really focused on healthy recovery. My physical therapist is able to take some time on massage, but I felt I could benefit from more. I have had 4 sessions with Ann and it has been great. She modifies her approach each week as I've been healing and refocuses, depending on what I've been working on with my PT. I go on Saturday mornings, so the office is pretty quiet. Facilities are clean and definitely feels more like a medical facility rather than a spa experience. This is exactly what I was hoping to get out of a medical massage experience.

I had high expectations of bodyworks DW. The massage was really disappointing considering the price isn’t cheap. I did appreciate the intake and could tell my therapist understood anatomy and shared her thoughts and listened to my concerns. But the massage itself was underwhelming. I had to keep telling my therapist (5 times) to apply more pressure. It didn't really feel like much most of the time and her style/motion felt awkward, unsure and a little clumsy. I want to feel changed after I get a massage and I felt I'd just laid around for 1 hr with someone sort of pressing on me here and there. It’s a shame because the reviews are great and I’ve heard great things but I’m hesitant to try again and may stick to my $60 bodywork in Chinatown. I’m really bummed I didn’t love it!

In desperation I sought to find a masseuse that knows anatomy,possibly someone with a sports medicine background and came across this studio. It is only a few blocks from me and it was a Friday so I booked with the only person available that evening. I couldn’t have been more fortunate. Omer was amazing and worked on my neck/shoulder/back. He knew what he was doing—I never had that kind of massage. I am now his regular client and I love the studio.

I have been going to Bodyworks DW FiDi location for a few months now and am very satisfied with the quality of work done so far by my massage therapist - Shiho. I have had neck and shoulder pain for years due to working with the computer for extended periods of time and for the first time I am seeing results, my muscle stiffness and range of motion have both improved. I would highly recommend Bodyworks DW.

Kelly was AMAZING. I am a former dancer and have been searching for a strong sports massage to help with lingering college injuries. This + a recent crick in my neck from sleeping wrong added to my intense pain yesterday. Kelly worked out my muscles and helped explain the anatomical details in the process. I had an incredible experience with Adee as my massage therapist. She has a remarkable gift; after one session, my sciatica and shoulder pain were significantly relieved. The massage felt like a religious experience. I never imagined such profound pain relief was possible from a massage. I’m speechless at the difference in my body after just one session. Everyone should experience this at least once to understand the true power of massage.

I’ve had 5 sessions with Adee C at Bodyworks. She has been great every time! Adee is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and skilled. I would highly recommend her. Also, the booking (and rescheduling) process is very straightforward and user friendly. I had to reschedule several times due to scheduling conflicts. As long as it is more than 24 hours before the scheduled session, then it’s no big deal.

This was my first time at Bodyworks so I don't know if this experience is standard practice or just a one-off. I arrived 5 min early to my 60 min appointment (4:45pm start time), and the therapist is waiting for the previous client to finish. No problem - by the time I get in, it's 4:55. We get started at 5pm. However the massage ends promptly at 4:45pm (the original 1h time), which cut my 60 minute massage short by at least 15 minutes. It would have been fine if I felt like the therapist had taken care of all of my issues, but my legs and hips were still sore. To his credit, he did a great job taking care of my lower back. I don't mind paying for a great massage but it doesn’t seem right that it’s advertised as a 60 min massage but you only get 45 min max. I don't know if I'd come back or recommend this particular therapist.

Incredible deep tissue somatic body work massage to address physical fatigue and emotional trauma. Yvonne is both professional, warm, and welcoming, but also incredibly knowledgeable about anatomy. She took the time to listen carefully to me and explain using the anatomy chart where she was going to focus/her technique. The treatment was targeted and very healing - one of the best massages I've ever received. After the massage, she explained to me what she observed and what the treatment plan would be should I elect to return (which I am!). Recommended by my PT office and now I highly recommend as well! Also super convenient location if you work downtown. Easy online booking via app a plus too!

Whenever I'm in New York City for a weekend getaway I always schedule an advanced hour-long massage therapy session with Ann at the Bodyworks DW's Financial District location. That's five visits within one year and I live in the Boston area. I look forward to my next visit. Thanks, James.
