I had an appointment for a consultation with Amanda and signed up for the appointment using their website. I picked the time and the date and got and got a confirmation sent to my email and to my phone. They said my appointment hadn’t been approved yet. Excuse me then why even have it on your website for you to pick a time and pick a date and then send you an email thinking oh this is my Conformation yet the email says it needs to be reviewed /approved. That’s just silly to me.

I was very excited to get my hair cut here but it was not it. When I came in, the two stylists working didn’t say a word , and the assistant or whoever was doing towels and cleaning up also saw me and said nothing so I honestly didn’t even think i was at the right salon. My hair stylist was late, i saw her walk in the back, while she was very nice and we had a lot to chat about, my haircut was honestly not good. my bangs were done so poorly, i had to go see someone else that evening to fix them. i was so bummed because i had my sisters wedding a couple days later so i was hoping to feel good and fresh at it but i literally couldn’t get my hair to style correctly aka my bangs and i’m newly post partum so i was just excited to get something done for myself. it was just super disappointed.

Kim did my hair for my wedding day, as well at 3 bridesmaids and 1 mom. She was so fast so we didn’t have to worry about being behind schedule. She made my sisters extremely fine hair look voluminous and beautiful. I got so many compliments on my hair, including from the groom on our wedding day AND the next day! She also did my highlights a month before and they were (per my request) the lost natural looking and flattering highlights I’ve ever gotten. She did a fabulous job.

I’m not good at leaving reviews so I’ll share my story. My hair was falling out and was thin. I am also seeing more grays than I’m ready for. I went to Kim and she found the colors that transformed my hair and had beautiful extensions to match. My hair falls out less and looks amazing. I get complements everywhere I go. It’s definitely a confidence boost! This place found a forever customer for sure!

Would give 10 stars if possible - Kim is amazing and has been doing my hair for so many years i have lost count and I don't know what I would do without her. I have also worked with Amanda who is also exceptional. They have done my daughter's hair and makeup for every single prom and homecoming and her entire wedding party just recently. She was the most beautiful bride. I seriously cant tell you how great it is to just sit down in the chair and she knows exactly what I need and has always given me fabulous suggestions when I am ready to change it up. I get compliments all the time !!! Trust me - you will not be disappointed

Boldly Defined Salon has a boutique feel with a welcoming warm environment. Kim is an incredibly talented stylist who gives top notch service and has always exceeded my expectations. Beau, her assistant, is my favorite! He is the therapeutic segment of the salon.

Erica did my extensions and she always does an amazing job! They are very secure and so light! Another hairstylist told me the other day they thought my extensions were taken out out because they look so natural!!! Erica is so fun to talk to, easy to get to know and so talented! She has great idea and she mixed in some blonde extensions to my brown hair to give me dimension. I look so forward to my appointments! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else! I love the atmosphere of the salon! It’s cute and clean and the girls are so kind and professional!

Erica is my hairstylist and she is very thorough with what you want as a customer. My color matches perfect and she picks the correct match for a brunette who wants blonde w/o it looking brassy. I also have extensions, which had before from a previous salon and these are so light and have the same effect and look better then I had. I would highly recommend Erica as she has a creative side to help you choose your process.

Gabriella did my hair and messed my hair. At second time she just cover with black color all my scalp and left black color on my skin. She didn’t do haircut properly. Disappointing 😔

I have very thin, very fine hair, and not much of it! So, I never really LOVED getting my hair cut because I don't love my hair. But, I honestly look forward to it now because of my experience with Erica. She does a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and confident, and knows how to style thin hair! She is lovely to talk to, and really tries to make the client happy. I look forward to trying extensions soon!

I love Boldly Defined! I moved to STL a year ago and needed a new salon. At the time I was a fake blonde & wanted to transition gradually back to my dark brown! Erica did an amazing job with my thick hair and helped it become more healthy. I have also received several deep conditioning treatments from Kim and they’re my new favorite thing! Hands down best salon in St Louis!

I love drastic change but my first priority is the health of my hair. Amanda gave me both! She took me from brunette to blonde without damaging it, I LOVE the results! She is so friendly and fun to talk to while in the chair, it was a great experience all the way around!

This salon is the best I’ve ever been to! All the stylists are so friendly, the salon vibe is comfortable, relaxed and I love the way it’s decorated. My stylist, Erica Baker, is an ARTIST. I recently switched salons and was referred to Kim by a friend who she highly recommended to me. I went there to get extensions for the first time and she exceeded all my expectations. My hair has never looked so good!! Her salon is well decorated and very welcoming. I felt very comfortable with all the precautions she was taking for COVID and you can tell the place was very clean. I highly recommend her to anybody that’s looking for a new hair stylist. She is the best!!

This salon is the answer to my hair prayers! Kim is unbelievably talented and will work with you on achieving your hair goals. She’s incredibly skilled, patient, and honest. I got the IBE extensions and they are a game-changer. She doesn’t overcharge like MOST salons do and wants you to look your best! Highly recommend!!!
