This is the SPOT for queer hair and personal transformation. Colleen is an outstanding color consultant and is so generous with her expertise. The whole team is incredible. Side note: this is an especially magical space for queer femmes, enbies, and transfemmes. If you’re looking for a place that really respects your full self this is it.

Going to Bombshell Transformations to get my hair cut is the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon. The interior decorations in the space are so well coordinated and make it feel homey and safe inside. The space here feels like a community and not only the place to get my hair done or a massage, and that’s extremely valuable as a queer person in Portland. Bettie gave me the full treatment here - shampooing, haircut, and a drink to enjoy during the cut! She always has new ideas for what to do with my hair and I get many compliments on it! I would highly recommend Bombshell Transformations!

My partner and I went in for makeup tutorials. Bettie was wonderful. There's a lot of information on the internet but it simply does not compare to having someone working with you one on one.

Bettie has always been patient and kind with me. Often it can be difficult for folks, post-transition, to learn all the new things. Bettie will take the time to work with you, helping you to look the best that you can. I don't have direct experience with the rest of the providers and services and Bombshell but I trust Bettie.

Bettie is so talented! I have been seeing her for haircuts since 2021, and she has honestly given me the best cuts I have ever had. Its amazing! The cuts are great every time, she makes you feel seen, and it is so lovely to be able to support her in her own business!! The massage therapist, Pake, is also so fantastic! I was so comfortable in there, and they really know their stuff! I will be a return customer for them as well.

Betty and her team are A-MAZ-ING! They offer super inclusive services, treat you like an old friend immediately, and are really knowledgeable! I love their mission to support the LGBTQIA+ community and the way they educate you on how to feel like a million bucks, whether it be with makeup, hair, or well fitting clothes. I will definitely be back!

I promised to get my friend a haircut while I was visiting portland. Since it was my last day, we were scrambling to find a walk in. Betty picked up the phone immediately and got me in touch with David. The haircut was incredible and as queer trans folks we felt we were in good hands. These guys are stellar, please go!

AMAZING 5/5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Stars! Definitely worth every penny and every minute. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair style till I started going here. I had one lady at a drive through tell me “I love your hair, god did good when he created you” 😚 all thanks to Bettie! What a stylist! And seriously what a great vision this place is offering major resources and services for all your transformative needs with supporting the trans being at the forefront 😉. Seriously Who else does that! Above and beyond! Definitely worth supporting and definitely worth the styling 🤩

Bettie and her staff are awesome. The new space is so welcoming and lovely. They offer many different services and will be expanding their services as they grow. I’ve been going to Bettie for years now and am excited that she now has her own place.

I have been going to Pake for several months now for massage. I have to say after a couple sessions my pain is gone and I'm feeling much better over all. I highly recommend Pake for massage services.

I've been a client of Bettie's for a long time and I was excited to hear that she was opening her own studio. It's a bit further of a commute than before but it's definitely worth it because she always does a fantastic job and the new space looks great.

I've been seeing Bettie for a while because she is incredible with fine textured hair. Well she opened up her own shop that looks absolutely darling and expanded her offerings with the help of her friends. Honestly things are looking really good and I can't wait to use some of her other services now

David Jones is a hair whisperer! He really does have a gift. It has been years since I have gotten a hair cut. I have been reluctant because I have had some bad experiences. I have curly hair and people usually want to chop off more than I am comfortable with or just don’t understand my hair. David came highly recommended though so I decided to give him a shot. David listened to me and kept my length but did some shaping and cut my dry ends. He really took his time to make sure my hair laid perfect and every strand was doing what it was supposed to. I appreciate his eye for detail and his understanding of how hair is going to behave. I am so happy with my haircut and have received many compliments. I will only let David cut my hair from now on.

I've been a client of Bettie's for about 15 years. I am so excited that she started this new business. Her business also does massage, and I got the best Thai Massage I have ever had with Pake. Then after the massage, I had my hair cut. A perfect morning. I'll do the same next month.

I’ve been a client of Bettie’s since I moved to Portland around 4 years ago. She does such stunning work and I’m so happy she opened up her own business. I came in for a cut and color today and left feeling like a bombshell (pardon the pun)! I can’t wait to check out all the other services the new location has to offer and am so happy I was able to support a queer, female-owned business.
