I literally could not wait to write a review!!! I relocated to Lawton OK from the Northeast at the beginning of 2025. I didn't even want to think about finding a new braider, because it is difficult to do better than the braiders in CT and New York City. I wanted someone who was good at their craft, who could give me the style that I wanted (BOHO Braids) while also keeping in mind the health of my hair AND who is reasonably priced. Let me tell you, LaKiesha Braggs of Braggy Braids was all that!!! OK let's begin with the fact that she had no slots open for the day I needed my hair done (because I work 2 jobs) I called her and she took me on a Sunday to accommodate me. When I arrived, I was offered a refreshment and the restroom and I truly felt at home. She braided my hair in a way that I felt NO TENSION. The curly tendrils looked wispy and very pretty not heavy or bulky. She was very personable as she was braiding my hair. (It was nice to actually have a conversation with someone while they were braiding my hair - at other salons they can't speak English or prefer to speak among themselves) Lastly, one of my jobs is in a public setting and for the past few days all I've been getting is compliment after compliment on my hair. I am SOOOOOO pleased. The ride between Lawton and OK City is 1.5 hours and BAAABY, I am so happy that I took a chance and took that ride. Thank you LaKiesha!!!!!!

I got lucky with a walk in with Sunni and she provided some of the best customer service I’ve had going into a salon and she made me feel comfortable even when I wasn’t sure how to ask for what I wanted, great service, great company recommend for any hair type and or style!

Aleshia was perfect. On top of pristine and long lasting boho island braids, she was personable and responsive to my energy level- which is clutch when you are spending hours in the chair. I sent her a few picks of colors and styles and she put together a personalized style that made me feel beautiful. Sometimes I think it’s easier to look good than to feel like you do. Aleshia nailed both, which was rare for me and really special! Plus she was very gracious and upbeat about taking me on very short notice when I had a hair emergency.

I did a google search and I’m so glad I did! I was able to schedule a same day appointment and when I got to the salon Sunni had already prepared my braids and started braiding my hair immediately! She was so gentle with my scalp and for the first time I dozed off having my hair braided. It was literally painless and she styled my braids into a beautiful ban after. She was very friendly too, answered all my questions, offered snacks/water and let me know that I could take a break as needed. She finished before the scheduled time too! I’m so happy I discovered this salon and I strongly recommend Sunni.

Medium Knotless Braids/With Curls on the tips. I Love My Hair. I'm very picky about getting my braided because some braider's Break your hair off, Some look like it's been done 3wks. Sunni Is Great. Attentive, Neat, Tight(But Not To Tight). My Braids Are everything. Next I will get them Extra small and longer for my Birthday. The shop was clean, and you can watch T.V. She unbove and beyond on going to get the hair color I wanted.

Sunni was amazing! I came in to have some starter locs done. The whole process took about 2 hours and came out awesome. Sunni even gave me tips on how to care for locs and tips on how to help with the process. Thank you Sunni for helping me start this journey.

Absolutely loved my experience here. They definitely put the customers here first & have top tier hospitality. I struggle being in new environments & they did amazing keeping me comfortable. I’ve been going to LaKiesha at Braggy Braids for 2 years now. I found her on Booksi when I needed my hair braided for a wedding the next day. My hair looked good for the wedding and the rest is history. She takes down and washes, her lines are straight, the braids are neat and she keeps my hair growing. The whole team is cool and the atmosphere is relaxed. I wanted two-strand before and Sunny helped. Once LaKiesha even came in on Sunday to braid my hair. I appreciate them all so much. I hope someone sees this and books.

Unreliable and Unprofessional with Gaslighting! I would have been a new client, but they contacted me at 8PM the night before to re-schedule my 9AM apt. No remorse or caring for the last minute inconvenience, just expected me to reschedule. Then, they actually got an attitude when I refused and asked for a refund. Suddenly there were now other braiders available-uh huh yea, then why ask me to re-schedule in the first place? No way would I take the risk of re-scheduling with them when they've proven they will bail at the last minute. Person became nasty as that point and had to tell them I would contact the board if they didn't stop harassing me with rude messages. That finally shut it down. But none of that was necessary since it was already cancelled, just lashing out at me bc they apparently expect their clients to accommodate them. Clearly immature, unreliable, and unprofessional.
