DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR BRAIDED HERE. Before I even say more just LOOK at my pictures- that’s my bohemian braids just 4 DAYS after getting it braided by this shop. I dont even need to say more tbh, but I will! Here is recap of my stressful experience at this shop… 1. I drove 2 hours to get my hair done by “Bright”, as I saw HER page on instagram ($250). I get there and It was a random braider that ushered me to sit down(pleasant but not who I booked)- I waited 40 minutes btw. Bright didnt even show up until an hour after the braided started . 2. The random braider did NOT know how to do the look I drove 2 HOURS for- so when Bright finally showed up, she made it work by up charging me $50 for more hair. Fine whatever, as long as it looked decent….7 hours later- I left. Here’s where things go unacceptably south for real… 3. Within 2 days the hair started to matte and become extremely dead looking- just like bad fake hair ( I was told the hair was %100 human). Trusting the expert, I ignored my concern and thought I was seeing things. 4. The pics uploaded are it on day 4- I looked like a mess! I felt like a sheep dog. It was so embarrassing walking around like that. It was absolutely clear that this was not real hair, nor was the style done correctly. Because no braid job should EVER look like this. 5. Bright old me to come in and we can see what to do to make it right- okay great. But nope, I spend my entire morning driving there just to be told the Braiders not answering the phone- after much reasoning and back and forth with her that I should NOT have to bear the $ burden and time burden ( it’s 2 hours drive) for their mistake for this disaster on my head- she told me to come tomorrow promising me to make it right and redo and give me back some money as She and the other people in shop agreed it was shockingly BAD BAD 6. However, once back, she loudly, I mean loudly gossips about me in her language to the entire shop, complains about having to redo my hair and etc. all while I’m sitting there uncomfortable and feeling like IM a burden. Finally when done (a completely different style and size, that I wouldn’t have driven 20 minutes nor paid even $100 for) she says she’s NOT going to give me any money at all, not even to at least make up for the style cost difference. She completely lied to me. She immediately started to become aggressively defensive- so I kept my peace and just took my leave. Stressful, and embarrassing experience… that makes me never want to trust getting my braids done again.

She did an amazing job these are the best braids I’ve ever gotten! They’re so light and neat! I’ve never had braids this flat, I’m really happy!!! Thank you!

Hello, Just so everyone is aware this is in an apartment complex. For the price that I thought I was going to pay, I didn’t mind. I was calling around to different braiding shops because I just wanted 8-10 braids with my own hair, for a wig. I did not need braiding hair. The other places were going to change me between $40-$60. I asked the lady on the phone twice and she quoted me the price of $30. I decided to go with this service because I thought this would be more cost effective. When I arrived a different lady was going to do my hair. I reiterated to her what I wanted. She started to speak to the other lady that I spoke on the phone with in their language. The lady on the phone informed me that she quoted me the wrong price and it was actually $50. She said she doesn’t do any of the braiding so she wasn’t sure of the correct amount. From a customer perspective why are you giving out random number about how much it would cost to get your hair done ? Wouldn’t it make sense to ask someone that would know ? but because was already there and my hair was prepped I decided to just get the braid down. I did inform her that for a client experience she should be giving the correct amount and not just random numbers. I honestly feel like they should use just honored the price that I was originally told because that’s not my fault that they quoted me the wrong price. The lady that quoted me the wrong price was apologetic, but that’s honestly didn’t do much. I have a braid in the back and it was shorter than the rest of my hair. Upon walking to my car, it came loose. So I had to walk back and inform them. The lady asked to use braiding hair so it can stay, I told her sure but I never had to do it before. Even after she fixed it, it still does not feel secured/ tight. I’m not sure if the braid is going to last in the back. As far as the rest of my head, I feel like she braided my hair too late in the front. I believe the braiding could have been better, I’m not going to ask her to fix it because I was ready to get out of there. Also, it’s going to be under a wig so now one will see it. For these various reasons, I will not be returning for their service.

I discovered this salon through Facebook and was impressed with their quick response time, securing an appointment for the very next day at 6 PM. However, upon arrival, I found the "shop" located in a rundown apartment building that was quite filthy. Despite the unappealing environment, I was in urgent need of a hair appointment. I was quoted $280 for medium, mid-back boho braids, even though their post advertised a price of $250 for medium waist-length braids. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the stylist informed me that the lower price was for braids done without human hair. This raised my first red flag. The entire braiding process took about six hours. Only four days later, I began experiencing excessive shedding and matting of my hair. As the situation worsened, I reached out to the stylist for assistance, but she refused to take any responsibility. She claimed to have used the best human hair, but when I looked up the product she sent me a picture of, I found numerous negative reviews, indicating that it was, in fact, low-quality. I truly believe she used synthetic hair as the hair was already out of the packaging upon my arrival. Additionally, she suggested that I should have used a product called Curly Max, a curl activator, which contradicted her claims about the quality of the human hair. If it were truly high-quality, I should have been able to use any product without issues. I requested a fix for my hair or a refund, but she denied both. This has been my worst customer service experience to date. I urge others to be cautious about whom they trust with their hair. Unfortunately, this experience felt like a scam. The I do not recommend this place. There are more affordable braiders in the area with higher quality products and customer service.

Text before you get there to make sure they have the hair in the color and type (synthetic or human) before your appointment. Booked more than a week in advance and was told there was no more human hair, but may have some later. I went with what they had and another costumer came 4 hours later and she told her the same thing about not having the hair. Didn’t contact her in advance to tell her or make an effort to get what the client requested. The service states that hair is included so every effort should be made to ensure the hair the client requested is available and if not, the client should be informed.

AWESOME - this is my first time visiting Braids By Bright and I was not disappointed. Oscarine took her time to make sure the job on my granddaughters box braids was right. I will definitely be back.

I am sooooo pleased with my hair - it is just beautiful! I did the medium knotless braids and I will definitely be returning to Braids by Bright in the future….Very professional service, and my hair was braided so fast. I will be referring others!!!

She is an excellent Braider! I drive three hours each way just to get my hair done by her. My parts are always straight, neat, and the perfect size. (I hate when parts are crooked or the boxes are too big.) My braids are always consistent and my curls are very full. The curls last without getting super tangled. I follow her instructions, using the curl max and moose every day. This allowed my hair to last for over a month even with me, going on vacation: swimming, going under waterfalls, and having spa treatments. The price is affordable, and the service is always quick, and friendly. I’ve had her do my hair twice so far and plan to go back many more times!

The best hair braiding in the area! I recently got the Boho knotless bob and my hair is so beautiful. I also took my 5 year old daughter to get her hair braided a few days ago and her hair is gorgeous. It wasn’t braided tight which I prefer for my daughter but still very neat. Overall, they have good prices, high quality braiding and kid-friendly. I will be a returning client.
