BEWARE! This is a very dishonest business with lots of fake and paid reviews. The location is hard to find. The suite number on the website is inaccurate and not listed on Google address. No photos of exterior explaining its located upstairs and inside the Luna Salon Suites. Called before arriving to confirm the price for just a braid down, which is $50 everywhere in Texas. The owner confirmed it's $50. I ALSO showed the stylist a photo of the braid pattern before she started. 20 minutes before the stylist finished my hair, the owner texted me to state the price was changed from $50 to $70 because the braids are "not going straight back." Seems like the owner is desperate for money and handled her misinformation quite unprofessionally, which is distasteful and says a lot about how she values her customers and conducts business. I recommend going elsewhere before investing your time and money into this business that will not last long.

It was easy to schedule, difficult to find because it's actually inside another business and no outside signage. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want quality braids and at a competitive price. My cornrows became loose and raggedy in two weeks. They even increased the price while braiding my hair, so it was too late to back out. They were provided with a photo prior to starting and I received a text message from the owner stating I was given the wrong price. I told the owner I would be leaving a negative review and she said fine. She would rather have negative publicity than be a fair business owner. There are lots of nearby braiding places. Save yourself from any regrets and find a quality braiding shop.

best braiding experience i’ve ever had! owner was communicative, kind and professional. the price was really good as well. AND the results were beautiful, i’m literally obsessed with my hair. you can tell these women take pride in their craft. definitely would recommend this place!

I found Yvonne on google and I have been coming to her ever since. She is so amazing and so lovable. You can show her a picture of literally anything and she will recreate it. Her work speaks for itself. Me and my daughter get braids from her. They last and are amazing.

My visit to Braids By Sims was absolutely phenomenal, all thanks to the incredible Yvonne! Her skills are truly exceptional. The outcome of my braids was beyond adorable, and what truly impressed me was how efficiently she completed the crochet braids in just 5 hours. Providing her with a YouTube video for reference, Yvonne surpassed all expectations, delivering a style that far exceeded my imagination. Her talent and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every single braid. I couldn't be more delighted with the final look! Considering the immaculate cleanliness and tranquil ambiance of the salon, I'm left puzzled by any negative feedback. Yvonne's service was truly outstanding, leaving me genuinely impressed. Needless to say, she has gained a devoted client in me.

My daughter and I had a very good experience! Yvonne is kind, patient and took the time to answer all my questions. She even talked me through navigating through the hair store to buy what I needed. Very neat braiding and great communication!! 🙌🏽 So happy to have found my new braid lady!

My knotless braids turned out lovely and she did a really good job. I felt comfortable and I booked with her because I appreciated the great communication before my appointment. However I most likely won’t be back. The day of my appointment she was about 35-40 minutes late due to her food being late. Coo that’s okay things happen. But I had to call her to tell her I was there, she didn’t reach out to say she would be running behind. Again that’s okay, I’m happy she came. It was the next part that really upset me. She told me that she couldn’t mix my braiding hair colors because it would take too much time and she has a client after me. What do that have to do with me? I showed up to my appointment on time and I can’t get the service I really want because the stylist was late. I also sent a photo before booking and we talked about the mixed colors I would be getting. I only brought in two colors and I’ve had my hair mixed before which is why I didn’t see how it would take too much time. So she did 2/3 rows in the back of my head with one color and the rest the other color. I was honestly hurt because I was really looking forward to that style and made sure I was prepared and respectful of her time and I still got treated that way. I hate to leave negative reviews but that kinda hurt. I own a business as well and I would have handled that differently. I also wanted back length and French curls(I seen advertised on her Instagram and also sent a photo and talked about before our appointment) but she did a different type of curl and braids are to my lower back. It still turned out cute but it’s not what I wanted. Now I have natural 4c chin length hair, She combed my hair through starting from the roots down. That terrified me. I’m working on my hair trying to grow my hair out. From my experience in cosmetology school, you start combing the hair from the ends and working your way up to the roots because you can break the hair off. Overall I’m just happy to have my hair done. It looks good, and they were nice. I loved how she faced me towards the mirror and other than the other stuff my heart felt good getting my hair done. They played uplifting music. I wish I could have made her my braiding stylist but that wasn’t for me. Thank you for doing a wonderful job on my hair.

Attention to detail is on point ! Always does a great job on my hair when it comes to braids/sew ins and we have great conversations during the appointment! Would definitely recommend because she’s meticulous about her braiding !

I’ve been a client for 3years. Sims and her team are just amazing! My hair is always neat n pretty. Customer service is on point that’s why I referred a lot of people to this business. I hardly find a salon that has both great service and cleanliness. 100% RECOMMEND!

These ladies suck! Parts are not straight and when I let them know…she was rough with my daughter’s hair. Parting her hair with pressure. I almost lost my cool. Also they wanted me to pay before my daughter’s hair was finished. Not! So unprofessional. The water was too hot and now my baby’s goddess braids curly pieces look like she’s had them in for at least a month. Never again.

Loved my braids every time! Yvonne made sure to take care of me as a client with snacks and beverages which I'd always consider a plus being that it is rare to find with other stylists! Work is unmatched. Works in a timely and efficient manner. Would definitely recommend 👌🏾

Professionalism at its best. It was my first time there and I am surely returning there and bringing all my friends. I called in last minute and my braider was nice and understanding. Not only did she agree to see me the same day, but she not only took great care of my hair (told her I have a sensitive scalp), but the braids themselves were very beautiful. Can't stop looking at myself in the mirror, I love it and love my experience there. Would recommend 100%!
