Brittany can only be described as an artist. She went above and beyond my expectations for the reference photo I sent. She is not only talented but inspiring and uplifting. I felt transformed after my appointment. It was also such a fun experience being at the Barton Creek Mall. Make a day of it!

Brittany was a life saver today! I got a VERY BAD haircut yesterday and she came through in helping me fix it on super short notice on Christmas Eve! She was very informative and gave me so many helpful tips and products to get my hair back on track and her prices are exceptional! Brittany knows her braids. I asked for a faux hawk. She knew my vision exactly. She had me out of there in no time. She matched my hair color and was professional the whole time and I thought her pricey was fair. I would recommend her and I’m definitely going back… she is my new go to for braids!

2 Braids for the price of ACL ticket (led by lies) I recently visited Brittany's Braiding and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the quality of the braids was commendable, the overall service and pricing structure left much to be desired. Firstly, I found the initial booking process to be misleading. Upon securing my appointment, I was required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $50, which was not clearly advertised beforehand. When I inquired about this over the phone, it was framed as a necessary step to reserve my spot, rather than an upfront fee. This lack of transparency was frustrating. Moreover, I communicated my desired style through pictures, only to be informed that I would need to pay an additional $50 for materials. This brought the total expected cost to $150, without having received any service yet. At this point, I felt pressured, as I was already on the hook for $100 in non-refundable fees. On the day of the appointment, I arrived on time, only to find the studio in a cramped and dimly lit area of a mall. Brittany took about 20 minutes to adjust my hair before launching into another lengthy speech about her expertise and the quality of her products. I was surprised to see what appeared to be inexpensive products that I could easily find at a local store. The most disheartening aspect of my visit was the lack of professionalism. Brittany’s demeanor felt more like a sales pitch lacking humbleness and care for a new client. When I expressed my concerns about the pricing and service, I was met with defensiveness and even accusations of gaslighting when I offered to promote her business through my social media channels never dealt with a more rude “stylist” who calls herself the best I can’t tell this reviews are paid for and the prices are not what she’ll pull on you once you’re there with no choice because your event is about to happen she’ll try to charge the most . In conclusion, while the braids themselves were well-done, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor customer service and a questionable pricing strategy. I would not recommend this studio, as there are likely better options in Austin that provide both quality and professionalism without the added stress.

Great stylist, personable and a very tender hand! I came in from NY to visit my grands and Brittany made a last minute appointment for my granddaughter. She left feeling special and beautiful! I would definitely recommend this shop!!

I went in for a trim and Brittany did an amazing job. My last hair stylist butchered me. She was very knowledgeable and made me feel at home. She only took what was needed off. I left happy.

If you want to pay over $350 dollars for two braids and hear from this person over and over how she's the best this is your place . The braids were ok , but the first scam starts asking for $50 to hold appointment, this doesn't go towards your service . Second she ask for more money to buy hair when the service mentioned over the phone was $150 , this person doesn't honor her word , on the day of the appointment after giving me another speech in how great she was and how she used the best products even though I could see gorilla mock and other Walmart stuff.... So it's the day of the event and in sitting there listening that the money I pay for the appointment doesn't go towards service neither does the hair .... And then because she knows my event is in the next hours she reveals a $250 price plus the $100 I've already paid ... I got cornered and she knew what she was doing.... Then she insulted me bc I offered my social media which I use for work . The place is dark, small, dirty inside a mall and this person buys her reviews... sadly Money comes and goes but being zero humble and having zero customer service isn’t ok specially in front of her kid which was there the whole time (another reason to not fight off the bad service )

I had gotten my hair done at another place and after 2 days I knew it was awful and had to have it redone. I read all the reviews and Brittany seemed to be the best. I called and told her my story and she agreed to see me that day. She’s personable and quick and had me looking good in about 2 hours! I had someone else take down the mess that was made of my hair to save time as Brittany only had a few hours to spare that day. I will definitely go back to her. Update: 2 days after getting these braids I went to bed and could not get comfortable. My head felt like it was on fire even though I’d been following the protocols for braids. I had to take them out. I don’t think this reflects on the braider but since I never had braids before I have nothing to compare this experience with. If you’re an experienced braid wearer I would still recommend Brittany.

Brittany did my festival braids for Burning Man and did a 5-star job! She should Be your go to for any festival hair, including ACL Festival hair since that’s probably more common for folks here. She did 5 braids with colored extensions (I chose white) and she even wove in glowing fiber optic thread.

I’ve never left a review before but appreciate the experience I’ve had here with Brittany and felt the need to leave a review. From the moment I contacted her, her communication was open and she explained everything very well. I explained to her what I wanted for my daughter’s hair braid and style and she exceeded all of my expectations. Such a great experience! Did my braids for Lightning in a Bottle and they stayed great for over a week while I was there and could have stayed in longer! Tons of compliments. Also going back for Burning Man braids. Great service! This is your go-to for festival braids in Austin!!

I have been going to brittany since 2013, she is the best. I left town for a few years and came back and shes still the toughest braider around. Just got my braids done and am impressed as usual. The atmosphere is nice the customer is impeccable!!

I went in months ago to get my hair braided and paid 175 for a last minute booking for 2 Dutch stitch braids. They weren’t even stitch she parted the “stitch” into the braid with a comb after the hair was braided. I thought it looked good when I left, but with more thorough examination I saw how much of a rushed job it looked like. Very sweet lady but was darn sure not worth the money I spent and looked like I could’ve done it myself and I can’t even braid. I thought it was going to look clean and crispy judging by the other heads I’ve seen her do in the pictures but that’s not what I received.
