This is a great, no-frills local place that does a good job at reasonable prices. My gel polish removal and simple manicure were done fairly well, using freshly unpacked sterile instruments (but no gloves - I don't mind, but I know some people care). If you don't speak Spanish, be prepared to use Google Translate or a similar app to communicate more smoothly. Since this is primarily a nail salon, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the waxing experience: quick, thorough, and almost painless even on my sensitive skin. The waxing technician wore gloves and all the equipment was kept neat and clean as well, so I felt like I was in good hands. I will definitely be coming back, and since there are many great reviews about more elaborate manicures, I am excited to try out more services once my nails get some rest.

I got my nails done for my sweet 16 by Mayra and LOVE LOVE LOVE how they turned out. Even though I am usually the type to not get my nails done, these nails are absolutely stunning. I 10/ 10 recommend this place and Mayra. The nails are so cute and elegant. It’s not uneven or misplaced, just perfect.

I’m very happy with the whole experience! I had Lavander Spa pedi and gel mani, Paula and Juli worked at the same time and did a great job! Very happy and will come back !

Sadly would not recommend, my cuticles were torn apart and bleeding. Staff are kind but posting this so the business knows the process needs to change.

I went to Brooklyn Nails & Spa to get my nails before vacation. It was my first time there and i opted for a citrus style that looked like fun, but I've never done designs on my nails before. Mayra was so helpful in finding examples of the design online, then she helped me pick colors that worked for each citrus fruit and took her time making sure the design was exactly how I wanted. Finally she added some 3D elements to really make it pop! Loved the final look and it was worth the time! Thank you Mayra! November 2024- Went back again for another fun design! Updating to add more pics. Best part is, Mayra doesn't push you to get extensions - she can work with your natural nails to do cute designs.

Pedicure was done well BUT manicure experience was highly unusual. I asked for the gel x extension, but all of my nails were pointing up after the application (see photos) and when I asked she insisted she’ll fix it, but that never happened. So when I asked again, the nail tech started freaking out and crying. They took the nails off after I asked and offered to redo, but I had already spent 3+ hours there so that wasn’t an option either. I paid $60 for the lavender pedicure and $40 for the manicure debacle (I offered to pay out of politeness and I guess they accepted). I paid tip cause I’m a good person and understand anyone working 3 hours is service provided.

Service is always very consistent here and they open early. Clean salon and they do a great gel pedicure. I’ve been here about 6 times so far and haven’t had a bad experience. Nail techs are nice and no long wait time.

Called at 830 AM right when they opened to get a UV gel mani and regular gel pedi and was told to come at 930 AM to get the pedi and can get the mani right after. I am now leaving at 1115 AM only with a gel pedi because she never got to doing my mani. Never coming back here. The pedi was standard, nothing spectacular.

I have visited other salons and they have not cleaned my cuticles as well. If you have the opportunity to go to Brooklyn Nails and get your nails done by Danna, you will leave satisfied with a good job. Thanks Danna, I will definitely be back.

I want to start this by saying I’m black so I’m used to my experience being different unfortunately. They straight up made me feel like my business wasn’t wanted. First with me not getting gel. I get that’s what everyone wants but some people don’t and that’s ok they made me hold a eyelash fan to dry my feet which I held because they have no dryers I guess if your not getting gel.. no sandals. The tech was nice but overall rushed through the process to get else where. I even filed my toes more straight on my own this experience was terrible and I overall could not wait to get home. If you’re black or don’t use gel just go elsewhere. Why accept or offer a regular pedicure if you don’t have dryers and no actual fans. I got home and my toes were all smudged.

I’ve been going here for the past 3-4 months and each experience was amazing! Mayra?! GETS THE JOB DONE! I know I’m in good hands each time I go! Clean space, clean shop overall, cute and very demure! Mayra always understands exactly what nail style I’m looking for and she cares for my nails and that’s what makes each visit extra special! Was in here earlier today with my gf. A woman working was visibly so sick and had a mask but wasn’t wearing it. I watched her hack and cough the whole time while also using nails tool, putting her finger in her mouth then unplugging and plugging stuff back in, touching the iPad and everything else while NOT ONCE washing her hands. It was disgusting and I wish we left. THEN someone came in to get her nails down and she nust sat her done and started touching the girls hands. Again, never once washing her hands or sanitizing ANYTHING. I’ll never be back here because of this. It was vile.

Been coming here for the last few years. Selfishly I only go to Mayra for hard gel for my nails…as I had a great experience with her from the beginning. But often get pedicures from others on staff, which has been great as well.

I cannot recommend Mayra enough!!!! For 2 years she’s kept my nails looking perfect! She always helps me pick the perfect shade (I’m very picky) and her quality is very consistent. I won’t go to anyone else in Brooklyn 😊

Mayra did my nails about three weeks ago and they’ve held up well. She did an ombré color on them and made sure to make them the length and shape I wanted with great attention to detail

Today Mayra did my nails and I loved it. I came in with a concept from instagram and she delivered that and more!!! The salon is very quiet and calming. The staff and Mayra are very kind and sweet and accommodating. Absolutely will be returning in two weeks.

I honestly am super disappointed and sad that I need to write this review. Not only did it cost $130 and 3 and a half hours to do this simple design, but it was only 2 days ago ...on Saturday and this is the result. Because it's the same nail on both hands I know sizing was the issue. She should have just communicated instead of spending three hours sizing

Mayra is a nail genius! I have literally never had my nails done so well and with such attention to detail. I came in with grown out hard gel and left with the gel extensions of a goddess. I showed Mayra a photo of the nails I wanted and what I got ended up even better than the photo!!! Mayra is a perfectionist and made sure my nails were flawless. Highly recommend!

my fav nail place EVER. I always go to my girl Mayra and she never fails me. Got these color changing nails (+ a UV gel refill) for like 3rd or 4th time and i always love how they come out!
