went to james as recommended by my sister in law — he was amazing! funny, engaging, and listened to my request for long layers and keeping the length of my hair. i can finally put my hair up in a bun and not have it give me a huge headache. also the price for it was SO reasonable. definitely gonna come back again for james :)

I recently had my first haircut with James, after reading great things about him in the reviews. Although I’m sure the other stylists are good, I had an outstanding experience with James. He’s very skilled and has a great eye, and the price is very reasonable. I felt totally taken care of in his hands. Looking forward to having him as my go-to stylist from now on.

I LOVE JAMES LIU! I have been getting my hair styled and cut by James for the past 8 years and every single time he impresses me. He is so patient and meticulous with my hair and knows exactly what I like. He is suave with the scissors. I will always follow James wherever he may go. James has been cutting my hair for more than a decade. My hair is very thick and straight and many stylists struggle to cut it, but not James. Over the years he has given me a short bob as well as long layers and does both styles perfectly. The salon is clean and spacious. The person who answers the phone may not speak English well, but if you start speaking in English they will find someone to help you. James is a great communicator in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.

Two weeks ago, I got a perm for the first time and fell in love with my new hairstyle. As it was my first experience, I was worried about damaging my hair, but I trusted the talented stylists at this salon, and they exceeded my expectations. Their expertise and professionalism are unmatched—definitely a perfect score, one hundred out of one hundred. I was so impressed that I brought my mom, and she was equally delighted with the results. This salon truly works wonders!

I had a great first experience here getting a cut and dye. David and his assistant did an amazing jog lightening my dark asian hair which is a challenge. He was careful to help guide and make suggestions that best suited me and I love the results. I'll definitely be back.

It’s not open on Mondays. They talk over you making jokes about you in their language making you very uncomfortable. Didn’t like it and didn’t like the hair stylist don’t speak English and no matter other people explain in his language you still come out of there the same as you asked not to.

Been coming here for 10 years. David is your guy for a fade. He is meticulous and versatile in his craft. My girlfriend came for a balayage and was extremely happy with it. You will walk out of there as a returning client. Everyone else in the salon is extremely friendly as well.

I usually come here for a men’s perm and cut. They wash my hair before and after the cut. David who’s in the last chair by the wall is pretty good. He speaks perfect English and takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. It’s a clean business with new appliances. David uses Booksy app to schedule his appointments. I highly recommend this place, I’ve always had a good experience.

I've been getting my haircut here for years and I usually always panic before getting a haircut since my hair is pretty difficult to cut. I've been going here because David has an education in his craft, pays attention to your headshape and hair thickness, and has even advised me for the better for things that I have asked for, and gave me reasons why, where I actually agreed with him. I'll continue going here.

I’ve been going to this hair salon since I was ten. I have never cheated on them ever because I don’t trust people with my hair. I have very thick hair so it’s hard to find hairstylists who can work with my hair. I’ve gotten my hair dyed twice by David and he does an amazing job. Overall, all the hairstylists are great at their job by providing customer satisfaction.

This is the best place for a haircut, perm, styling etc. I come here monthly for a haircut and every few months for a perm. David has the best customer service. He takes his time ensuring your hair turns out perfectly the way you want it. He is meticulous at finding the right style for your head type. Highly recommend this establishment for your haircut/hairstyling needs.

i waited 9 long months after moving to new york to find a barber because i am extremely peculiar about my hair. when i finally found david it was like sipping water from an oasis after years and years of being parched. fade. cut. style. bro does errrrthang. super cash 15/10 recommend

I did highlight. Price is reasonable but the highlights came out horrible. They didn't highlight all the way to the root . And you couldn't see any highlights. But the lady tried to fix the highlight. Still didn't look good . I have to go to Walgreen buy hair coloring cream.

Really nice receptionist and the woman who washed my hair was so gentle. I unfortunately didn’t catch the name of my stylist, but he did a great job of fixing my botched at home haircut. Best blow out ever. I felt like a million bucks but only paid $40. I definitely will be going back!

Tony did a terrible job with my hair. First time I went was not bad, but the second time I went the job was finished terribly. It looks AWFUL. For something I paid $50 for, this is not what I had expected at all. I absolutely hated it and I've been crying for the past day and been afraid to go outside. The first time I showed the EXACT picture of what I wanted, I got what I had wanted but this time it looked nothing like what I got the first time. It looked like a dog had chewed through my hair and it was way shorter than it was meant to be. The front view is SO uneven and awful looking. Never going back there again, overpriced and terrible horrendous looking hair. I told him I didn't like it but he couldn't fix any more of it because it was too short.
