I went to Bukky African Hair braiding today for the first time and she did an amazing job on my hair! I got medium knotless braids and I LOVE them. The braids are soooooo neat, my hair feels great and I was in and out fast! I will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Bukola for a couple years now and I always love the result! The atmosphere is also so nice, TV, Wi-Fi, and good energy. Bukola is very patient, timely, soft handed, and detail oriented. She does a great job every time and is my go to Braider in Charlotte!

I called to schedule an appointment for braids. They answered and was very short and I was told they only had an appointment available in about 3 weeks on 3/24/24 at 1:30 pm. I said okay I would like that appointment. I was told to cash app $30 and they said goodbye I immediately asked how and who do I send it to. They replied send it to this number. I was hesitant but because of the great reviews I went forward. I sent $30 through cash app as requested but never received a confirmation or call back. Mind you I was never asked for any information because they was trying to get off the phone quickly. A week later I called back and was told they didn’t receive anything and I sent a screenshot of the transaction. I was asked why I was calling if I sent the money and replied for confirmation. After sending the screenshot They replied this was not their number and they only use one phone number. If you look on their site it has multiple numbers. I said okay I will cancel it when is the next available appointment. I was told they did not have another appointment available. I was able to cancel the transaction but Very unprofessional and I have been waiting for 2 weeks for this appointment.

After weeks of looking like the bogey man, Bukky brought me back to life! I brought my laptop to work while getting my hair done and Bukky provided a desk, it’s the small things like that that make the experience great. I’m so pleased with my hair and I will be back soon!

Called for a few days. No one answers the phone. Finally after the 4th day a lady answers the phone and said she don't braid hair for children under 10. This should be stated on the website.

I really enjoyed the whole experience! Bukky was a sweet heart! The salon was quiet and calm. A very soothing place to get your hair done. She was efficient with the time that it took her to do my hair. I got Boho Boxbraids they were very neat and a great length.

Absolutely love my hair 😍. I’m new to the area and google did not disappoint when I found this place. Service was quick! I went in at 9:am and she was done at about 1:40pm. I got small knotless braids waist length just wow. I’m definitely coming back she is my person now lol. Ladies get slayed by Bukola you won’t regret it 😉

I’ve been trying braiders in the Charlotte Area for 7 years, none have come close to Bukky. I will always go to her for my styles. She absolutely does not braid tight, she is super fast, professional and kind. I enjoyed her company and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my goddess box braids. My hair braider search has finally ended!

My hair looks really good and was done fast but $280 for medium knotless braids is kinda high. I wanted Smedium, I've been here before a few yrs ago it wasnt as much. I do like my hair but almost 300 is crazy for this size

Bukky did an amazing job with my mother’s hair!! If I could give her 10 stars across the board… I would! She is so nice, professional, on time, talented and very quick. She did Senegalese twists for my mom and they are absolutely beautiful! She finished in 3.5 hours. The quality of her work is top tier and the price was awesome. Great experience at Bukky Hair Braiding Salon. I have been looking for a braiding shop in Charlotte and found my place! The experience was worth it and love my knotless braids. I got my hair braided just 2 days ago and I’m already wanting to take them out. I got small knotless and paid over 200 but they look really bad. Initially, I thought they came out nice but when I looked at it the next day ( after the soreness wore off a little ) I noticed that they were extremely uneven. The top of the braids are very tiny and gets thicker towards the middle of all the braids. The customer service is great, she’s a really nice lady but I spent over 200 and it looks like I did it myself. If your getting knotless braids , keep this in mind.The braids are uneven in the front and back and the braids are twisted . I added a picture ( pic in the grey robe with pink flowers) so you can see how uneven and how the braids pattern is very messy.

This is one of the best hair braiding experiences I have ever had. I called around 8:15 to see if she could squeeze me in. She said she could take me at 1:30. I came at 1:30 she and her daughter were finishing up the person before me. I did not have to wait at all. Her daughter began to prep my hair. She did grab a bite to eat, but her daughter had already started prepping me, so it wasn’t a problem at all. I got small ombré knotless braids and it took them 4 hours! That’s all! my parts are neat and concise. She paid close attention to the texture of my hair and didn’t add too much hair to cause my hair to break. This was a great experience and I would recommend her to anyone. The shop was neat and clean and very welcoming. I highly recommend going to Bukky. I know I have found a new home for when I need my hair braided.
