Just wanted to drop a note and say how happy I was after my haircut today with Megan. As a busy mom it's difficult to find the time to get my hair done, so when I get it done, I want the best! Megan has been cutting and styling my hair for a few years now, and is able to transform my neglected locks into a chic hairstyle that works well up or down, styled or air-dried. Thank you!!!

Megan at Bumble is the BEST— she always does exactly what I ask for beautifully, but also makes great suggestions for what works best for my hair that are always spot on. Have been seeing her for over a year and will continue to do so forever! The rest of the Bumble staff are lovely and my experience at the salon is always fantastic and relaxing.

I don’t write reviews but this was a pretty bad experience here, not only does my hair look virtually the same as before I got it done for $300 plus tip, (the tone or color seems to have washed out after the first shower) but my overall experience was bad. The salon was extremely loud and not at all a pleasant or relaxing environment (I understand that it is a large salon) but other stylists were practically yelling/being so loud the entire time I was there. I made my appointment with ample notice and during my visit the colorist kept leaving to do other clients hair (never had that happen at any salon i’ve ever been to.) They were extremely rough with my hair, literally pulling it SO hard with a brush (after teasing it and making it that way) i’ve never had a colorist or assistant yank my hair so many times, so hard. While I was having my hair washed the woman was pulling it with the brush so much, it was extremely painful. Same with the colorist—neither apologized or tried to put product in to help detangle it. After leaving my appointment I immediately realized that I left my coat in the downstairs coat check, I called them a few times with no answer, I then called early the next morning and spoke to someone who confirmed it was still there (I told her I worked that whole day and asked when the latest I could get it was) and she said that I could go anytime to get it. I called them multiple times that day to confirm that I would be able to get it that evening and despite me calling before 6PM, I repeatedly (!!) just got their voicemail that said they stop answering the phones at 6PM (again I called well before that time) Despite being unable to reach anyone I went straight to get my coat and when I arrived it was not in the coat check despite me calling and telling them that I would be coming to get it, the nice security guard tried to help me look for it but was unable. I had to leave because it was not anywhere he looked—a while later I got a call from him that he found it so then I had to go all the way back despite it being cold out, to get it. He was very nice but the entire situation was unpleasant and i’ve never experienced anything like it in my many years of going to extremely upscale and professional salons both in Beverly Hills and Manhattan. Don’t recommend—save yourself the time and money and find a smaller more reliable and relaxing salon.

I’m still trying to comprehend the magical blowout I got from Char(Chara?). Arriving straight from the airport I was in desperate need of a blowout I walked into the salon and SO fortunate for me Chara was available for a walk in. It started with an amazing wash from Yolanda and then I got the shiniest most bouncy blowout I’ve ever had in my life. Upon leaving a few people stopped me to compliment my hair but after the 3rd person I needed to start taking a tally— people literally stopped in the street to ask me where I got my hair done. After 7 people throughout the day, a testament of durability of this blowout!! I was still receiving compliments. Never has this ever happened to me before. Whenever I’m in New York without a doubt this is going to be my first immediate stop for this insane blowout. THANK YOU!!!!

I have only had consistently positive experiences here. Everyone is friendly and attentive. The process of having your hair washed is heavenly and the stylists meet with you to discuss the plan before your hair is wet and combed straight. I highly recommend making an appointment with Roz, especially if you have curly hair! She is a visionary and can accommodate any request. I have come to her for simple trims, my wedding day look and to chop it all off. Roz delivers an ego boost every time. Never any regrets! PS: Roz takes the time to teach you how to style your hair as well so you can look great every day. 10/10

I have been going to B&B Midtown East for over 6 years. Jonathan has been taking care of my hair and is by far the best colorist I have ever met. Every time I leave the salon very happy. Highly recommend Jonathan.

It was my first time at Bumble & Bumble and I will definitely be back! Zoe took so much time and consideration with my hair color. Not only did it come out perfect, she’s also delightful to chat with! This was by far the best salon experience I’ve had in NYC. As a hair color specialist Jonathan brings unique qualities to the art. his creativity and aesthetic sense is only matched by his dedication to his clients' or as many feel, his friends' needs. I have complete trust in him and I'm confident that my hair is in the best care possible. He listens and is attentive to details. His perfection shines through every hair color style that he creates. Such a good experience. The shampooing is worth every penny a godly massage. This was my second time back! The hairstylists listen to your desired outcome and the results speak for themselves! Would come back and highly recommend both Frankie and Aine :)

This was my 1st time going to a B&B salon and it definitely won't be my last. I went in for color with Jonathan after seeing so many reviews saying he was the best and they were right! I have naturally very dark hair but he was able to give me beautiful highlights in under 3 hours. He was so nice and pleasant to speak with and seemed very detailed in his technique which resulted in beautiful hair. Highly recommend!

I want to thank Jonathan at Bumble & Bumble Midtown for the amazing job he did on my hair. I went in devastated because a local salon had ruined my hair over processing it with highlights. When I met Jonathan I had a brassy orange hair, he suggested to start a hair recovering process by doing toners instead dying and over processing it again with highlights while my hair gets strong and healthy again. He will never try to talk you into something that isn't right for you - everyone is an individual to Jonathan. He is is my hero! He schooled me and coached me through a great recovering program treatment. I have a smile on my face because my hair is healthy, manageable, AND no more brassy tone! He is absolutely the BEST! Thank you Jonathan for such a wonderful experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would not recommend this salon. The stylist was very kind, but she gave me an uneven haircut. I pointed it out to her in the moment, and she did not listen. In fact, she doubled down and told me that it was actually the opposite side that was too long, and continued to cut into it, making the situation worse. I went to a different salon to have it fixed. Also, the whole experience was over two hours for what was a very simple cut. Unfortunate, especially given the price.

Great location in midtown with a website that is easy to navigate for scheduling appointments. The salon itself is huge with multiple floors depending upon your service. Each floor has lots of different stations so you never feel like you are on top of each other. I love the area on the color floor set aside to dry your own hair with a plethora of products to choose from instead of buying the whole bottle on your own to test out how it will work with your hair type.

Roz has been cutting my hair for 12+ years. She so great/skilled that even though I moved across the country 3 years ago, I still come back to NYC twice a year for a haircut from her. No one compares. She’s always on point and has the best hair herself!
